OH yeah. That was fantastic! This is one of the first Anita Blake fanfiction stories I've read and it was beautiful. Of course, now it will be harder to ignore the problems in the new books...

*snicker* I loved it. I'm a HUGE Anita Blake fan, and I have to admit I hadn't noticed the repetition, but this was freaking hilarious! It's 3:30 AM, and I'm trying desperately not to wake up the other occupants of the house with my laughing. Thanks, I needed a good laugh. :D

WOW!!! It says so much that I wanted to say.
I love Anita Blake books but just how many polo
shirts can a girl wear it always kind of made me mad
that there wasn't an Old Navey around.
Brilliant and I can't wait for more.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OH MY GOD, THAT WAS THE BEST! I love Anita...wait..no I don't...I love everyone BUT Anita..and Richard...but that's not the point! I was saying, I love the series, but I am SO with you on this...One of the things that always bugs me is Anita "drowning". She's always drowning :in eyes, in sex, in problems, in shit...always drowning..and sex always fills her up "like a cup". Maybe she really wants to be coffee mug when she grows up? Stupid head strong wench! If I were Anita..well...I'd kill myself so Asher and JC could go at it again! ^_^

I laughed so hard that I hurt my side. I often find myself annoyed at the way Hamilton writes (what's with her obsessiith ith the phrase "so-and-so's pants were so tight they looked like they were painted on"? It's kind of clever the first time, but after that it just gets old. Especially when she uses it twice in the same book.) This satire did an excellent job of making fun of the books, and I commend you.

Really cute story. Haven't been with the series long enough to get sick of the repetition, or maybe I like cheormuormulaic novels and not great literature. I'm a librarian and yet I can't seem to read "literature" I like stories, dammit! Since I just started, I like the melodrama. Your story also has no misspellings and is really coherent which is nice to see. I have been reading a lot of fanfic. I think I am addicted right now. Lonely period, need fantasy to tide me over, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, it seems that a lot of people, just because they are writing on the Internet are not bringring to proof their work. The spelling and near miss word errors are mildly annoying. I would love to correct them, but I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Okay, I'm a wimp. Near miss word errors like saying "The witness collaborated the report" instead of coroborated. No I'm not sure I spelled coroborated correctly, but if I was writing a story I'd get up off my lazy ass and check a dictionary!

Anyway, thanks for providing some entertainment and wholesomecrascrastination on a rainy sunday afternoon. BEV

*applaudes* i completely agree about the whole getting fed up with the way laurelle k. hamilton is writing her stories. the plots get worse as each new book comes out, and a lot of it is very repetitive, like you said. good job w/ this!

I am a huge Laurell K. Hamilton fan. I have to say, though, that you have a point about the repetitiveness. Also, this short piece was so funny, I found my self laughing out loud at the monitor! This was a great story that poked fun at a quirk in her writing style without bashing her as an author. Good job!
