Well, first I'd like to say that DAMN! this is a great re-write of the books, certainly much better than the original story ;-). Definitely better in terms of interactions and relationships, and you got Dalamar's and Raist's (hah, I always liked his nickname) down pat. Great story and I hope you keep it up. More updates please!

This rest here is just a little bit about where I personally believe that there are shortcomings in the original books, just in the format which you follow amazingly well. This isn't a criticism of your work I just figured I could point out what about it just doesn't work for me. Feel free to ignore anything and everything below this.

Firstly, it's kinda like what you point out in the story, in that good is always kind of petty and stupid when dealing with evil, you know, inflicting pain and being petty when it should logically be against thier own morals (this is just something about Weis and Hickman's world that always annoyed me, I'm glad you made a point of showing it here). Heh, you know, 'cause a truly good person or goddess would always welcome and succor a wounded anything, so long as they came in peace and all, and always offer the warm chance of redemption (they're a god of good for christssakes!). The second thing was that of the character interactions, which always seemed kind of... stilted I guess. Not necessarily realistic, I mean, it sems like Raistlin would kind of be the guy who's just always there, but the group wouldn't like, actively seek to get rid of. People grow accustomed to each other, and reach a point where they remain unruffled in a hated person's prescence. Really, how many "enemies" did you have growing up that you absolutely hated then, but don't really feel anything for now? I dunno, I may be just rambling, but the falsity of the relationships in the books always turned me off to them. Well, I just thought I'd mention that because I think you could definitely do better than the books and would be hugely pleased to see you tackle much more complex interactions that the Dragonlance series does. Just my two cents is all.

I eagerly await each new chapter that comes out for this fic. Your remarkable insight into the minds of both of these characters just draws me in and I can't wait to see how else it changes. The two men were made for each other... and that they are so freakin' hot at the same time. Can't wait for more. Yum.

Thank you for several hours spent away from this crappy Earth. Krynn is far superior, and an old familiar Krynn tale with my two favorites perfectly paired and eye-rolling at the "party of idiots" is even better, like a remix that is vastly superior to the original song. What's even better is that you are a much MUCH better writer than Weis and Hickman (and that's not meant to be as backhanded as I think it technically sounds) They're good storytellers and good imaginers but such bad writers that without Raistlin I'd never have made it through the Dragonlance books.

Thanks again for the break from reality : ) Please do continue, I'd be delighted to see the entire novel from this perspective. Also, your "glossing" of dialogue and story details that I'm sure anyone reading this is utterly familiar with is perfectly and seamlessly done.

Gods, I'm honoured to be the first person to review you wonderful work :D What to say, your little masterpieces are the best Raistlin/Dalamar fanfics that exists. Nothing less :)
