Reviews for A Solemn and Strange and Perilous Thing

As Jane Eyre is, in fact, my favorite novel of all time--I cannot number the times I have read it--this review is not to be taken lightly.

Undoubtedly, Charlotte Bronte would not approve of such lascivious depictions within her works; but for the sake of argument, let us take into consideration that, if she did, this very well might have been a sort of 'outtake,' the sort that many authors write for the sake of self-gratification, but to which no reader may ever lay eye.

The elegance, brilliance, and downright magnificence with which this piece was executed is nothing shy of a tribute to Ms. Bronte's name. I certainly hope this is not the only thing that you have written--I should like to see more from you.

Though I know you not, I already feel as though you are a true kindred spirit.

    Highest regards,
    Emilie

This is the most realistic and well-written JE fic I've ever read! The smut was lovely without falling into overblown purple prose.
