The original title of the book, that is to say the title Oscar Wilde first gave to the publisher, was indeed "The Portrait of Dorian Gray". However, under its first publication in 1891 the book was officially titled "The Picture of Dorian Gray", a slight change of terminology. Mr. Wilde evidentally didn't have any objection to the new title, so that is what it remains to this day.

It started out believable, you you kinda lapsed into modern day slang.
It got better towards the end, but the mindset of dorian is a bit confused at the end, and i'm not sure if that was on purpose.
