Words cannot describe how much I love this fic. I keep coming back to re-read it again and again. There's not nearly enough Kay-based stuff out there, and this one is just so well written! Every word is perfect. There are a couple of punctuation errors, but nothing major. I think Erik is totally in character. There are multiple moments in Kay's book when he could have lost control like this. A lot of fanfic writers seem to want to ignore that dark, violent side to him, but personally I love it. I thought this fic was incredibly erotic, but also very realistic. I particularly loved how you mentioned that he wanted to hurt her--again very in-character for that moment and also that's apparently why men rape in the first place; the feeling that the woman has hurt them and needs to be put in her place. With Erik's controlling personality and fear of losing her and his capability for violence--oooh yeah. It could totally have happened. To those people who are squicked by it and whine, "Erik would never do that!" I say: a. It's fanfiction, people can write about anything they want b. There are a million different versions of POTO out there and I doubt that any two people see him in exactly the same way and c. You were very careful to warn people that your story contained sexual violence. Anyone who was easily offended and yet continued to read after seeing the warning has only themselves to blame.

Would you consider either writing a continuation of this, or writing the same scene from Christine's perspective? I'd love love love to see either, and will review accordingly! *dangles review tantalizingly*

I reviewed this when it was on ff.net, and I'm gonna review it here too. It is definitely controversial, but you know what, Erik is not your typical run-of-the-mill guy. Did you know that 30% of men actually would rape a woman if they thought they wouldn't get caught? In Susan Kay's novel, Erik thought it about it on more than one occasion, and you portray both the ruthless cunning and the regret of the incident, so it's not like Erik was completely heartless about it. For people to say simply say that he wouldn't do that, or it's not in his character A. it's fanfiction, it's fun, it's expressive and B. we all know that Erik is a passionate, selfish, ruthless person, so whose to say that he wouldn't actually do that?

But that's just my opinion. It was wonderful to read the second time around, and I admire your talent and out-of-the-box style of writing.

Good work as usual. Most people will probably find this oddly erotic despite the violent premise. I suppose that since two such well-loved fictional characters are the ones indulging in the aggressive debauchery the story seems artistically twisted rather then perverse. Either way, it's brave of you to take on such a controversial and disturbing theme and turn it into something of substance. You've combined violence, passion, pain, and regret beautifully, and you really managed to expand on Erik's darkness and irrationality. Brava!

Erik is not a rapist. I didn't care for this at all.
