i loved this story. and i don't think that what you termed "too easy recovery" from rape was unreasonable. sometimes after a sexual assault the victim has a desire to wipe out the bad memory of "sex" and replace it with a good memory of making love. they don't want, like, their most RECENT encounter with sexual activity to be so negative, so they make an effort to have a more recent encounter that's more enjoyable. it could be different for a virgin who got raped, but aurora was most certainly NOT a virgin by that point in the narrative... which is one of the reasons i loved this story! i'm all for a sequel! :D

I don't trust Aurora's father. Even with the blackmail that Katherine threatened him with, I don't think that he would give in that easily. As for Aurora and Erik, even though Aurora seems "normal" again, I think that she is far from it. That was an interesting way to get to sleep, by the way. Creative, even. I eagerly await the next chapter.
