Super! You kept a nice Victorian tone the whole time, and Holmes as an understanding comforter is just lovely. Your writing is smooth and elegant., I'm hoping this is chapter one of a longer effort.

Reading your story I was almost crying, and that is unusual for me. Wonderful story. I wish I could write like you do!
