“I know how you think you feel about me,” Jace began.
Alec was taken completely off-guard. One minute he’s bandaging Jace’s hands and then he starts talking about his relationship… or ex-relationship, with Magnus. Alex always feared the day where Jace discovers his feelings for him but now that it’s happening right before him he isn’t as terrified as he thought he would or should be.
A part of him feels—dare he think it—relieved.
“You don’t, though. You just like me because I’m safe. There’s no risk. And then you never have to try to have a real relationship, because you can use me as an excuse.”
Jace was being completely harsh. He’d been so brutal and blunt the entire day. He was almost unapologetic about his cruelty but when Alec gazed into his golden eyes he saw the exact opposite of cruelty.
He saw an angel.
“I get it,” Alec said tightly. “First Clary, then your hand, now me. To hell with you, Jace.”
“You don’t believe me?” Jace asked. “Fine. Go ahead. Kiss me right now.”
Alec’s immediate reaction was one with a stone white face and an expression of pure horror. He couldn’t believe, not even after hearing it with his own ears, that Jace had just asked him that question. And while he imagined himself jumping from his chair and wrapping his arms around Jace to kiss him fiercingly, he couldn’t do it. His body wasn’t moving as much as a centimeter.
“Exactly. Despite my staggering good looks, you actually don’t like me that way. And if you’re blowing off Magnus, it’s not because of me. It’s because you’re too scared to tell anyone who you really love. Love makes us liars,” Jace preached.
Jace stood up from his chair and started taking slow paces to the door but Alec’s abrupt voice switched off his motoring skills. “The only time I’d be lying is if I said I don’t love you.”
Jace turned around to face Alec. He stood up, slowly, for his chair and walked towards him. His face was looking at the ground but he stood taller than he’d ever had.
“I really do fucking love you, Jace. There’s no doubt about that in my mind,” he started. “And I’ve lied about how I felt about you for years.”
“Alec…” Jace muttered before he was cut off.
“I didn’t kiss you just now because I’m not like you,” he was standing right in front of Jace now but his eyes were still studying the floor below his feet. “I don’t act on impulse. If I did, I would’ve kissed you five years ago when I realized that I was in love with you. I would’ve kissed you last week when I woke up from my accident and the first person I thought of was you.”
Jace looked just as stunned as Alec had looked a minute ago. He couldn’t even breathe straight after hearing Alec confess his love like that. A staggering pain shot through his hand all of a sudden. He looked down to see Alec’s soft hands caressing his. He wasn’t used to him being so… brave.
Alec finally looked up at Jace and the gold and blue eyes were intertwined in a whirlwind of love and confusion. The mutual gaze was so tight that a reflection of each other was visible. The hand that was caressing the bandage on Jace’s hand was now caressing his face. Alec bit his lip, half expecting Jace to pull away. He didn’t.
And then, he moved closer. He couldn’t get any closer. His lips were connected with Jace’s and his hands held his face gently. A chilling sensation ran down the back of his neck. He’d never felt Jace’s hands on that area before but he recognized it as that. The grip on his neck became tighter and softer all at once.
Jace was fiercely kissing him back.
“Sit down,” Alec requested with a deep gasp.
Jace obeyed. He walked to the chair he sat in previously and took a seat. Alec followed him with his wrist in his grasp. As Jace sat, he kneeled. His rib cage rested between Jace’s knees and his hands settled on his waistline.
“Are you okay with this?” Jace asked, looking down at Alec and his blue eyes.
“Are you?”
Jace nodded. Alec returned the nod and trailed slow kisses down from his stomach to the fly of his jeans. His hands began exploring inside his shirt. Jace winced at the chilled fingers but didn’t move. His abs tightened when Alec’s hands rested on them. He could feel every pack in perfect detail.
Jace removed his shirt and threw it to the floor behind him. Alec did the same. Jace had never realized how broad his shoulders were.
Alec began unbuckling Jace’s belt now. He tried to do it slowly but he felt beastly as he rushed the unfastening. It wasn’t long afterwards that he unzipped his fly and pulled out Jace’s package.
There were nights—not as often as one would think—where Alec would have dreams not unlike the very moment he was living in now. The love confession, the kiss, the passion, the sex. It was all in the dream and now it was happening.
Alec looked up as he massaged Jace’s length. Jace’s head was thrown completely back. His eyes were open and he was looking at the ceiling.
Right then, Alec put it in his eager mouth. It took only seconds for Jace to groan. His eyes were completely shut now and his adam’s apple was throbbing in a mixture of agony and pleasure. His hands turned into fist and he used them to cover his face.
Jace could feel Alec’s warm, wet mouth on his cock. He had never received a good blowjob before. He came off as a sex expert in his demeanor but he only got oral pleasure once before and it was by a nameless virgin Shadowhunter girl who couldn’t take in more than the head. The width alone was too much for her to handle.
Alec was a virgin in every which way, Jace was sure, but, had he not known Alec he would’ve never guess this was his first time. It was only a minute into the blowjob and Alec was taking Jace’s cock to the back of his throat (and he doesn’t want to brag but taking his entire dick is an achievement). He was in a moment of pure ecstasy. It was like standing in the center of a midnight’s rainstorm after a scorching hot day.
“Oh fuck!” Jace muttered. His panting became a lot more frequent and louder.
He rested a hand on Alec’s bare shoulder. His muscles had tightened at the touch. He held the throbbing cock in his hand and licked it from the balls up to the head of it. His tongue journeyed the erection like a hitchhiker climbing Mount Everest. He flicked his tongue at the tip of it, nearly teasing Jace, and dove in for a deep swallow.
“I’m gonna…” Jace whispered. “I’m gonna—”
Jace couldn’t even finish the sentence. Alec’s rhythmic techniques sped up. His hand was pumping the shaft of the length while he buried his tongue under the foreskin and encircled the glans numerous times. Jace groaned a low, inaudible grunt and then he began moaning. The louder the moan, the faster Alec pumped.
Jace felt his cum rising with the throbbing of his cock. “It’s coming,” he announced in a pant.
Alec swallowed his cock then. He gagged a little as he took as much as he possibly can down his throat. Jace’s vision became blurry for a split-second. His head was lightweight and he couldn’t feel his legs. His body trembled and his toes curled as he made a sweet release.
Jace’s hands were raking through Alec’s soft, messy hair. His eyes were still closed and thrown back over his head. He was smiling now; smiling like he’d just heard a joke that wasn’t funny enough to cause an outrage but still funny enough to curl the corners of your mouth. The entire world came back to focus for Alec as he swallowed the last drop of cum. He began licking Jace’s cock carefully, making sure every last drop was off.
A relieving sigh came up from above Alec and he looked up at his lover, Jace. The smile was still plastered to his face and he spoke words of gratitude followed by a name. A name that didn’t belong to him. A name that wasn’t Alec’s.
“Clary.”
--X--
It was only yesterday when Alec had pleasured Jace but it felt much longer. He could still see Jace’s face of agony and ecstasy. He could still smell his golden cock nuzzling against his nose. He could still taste his cum down his throat. He could still feel the spontaneous throb on his tongue. He could remember it all with all 5 senses but he couldn’t feel it. Not in his heart.
So, for that night he planned to reconcile his broken relationship with Magnus after all the madness dies down. Magnus, in no way, shape, or form was anything close to Jace but he had his own qualities. Qualities that was worth giving him another shot, despite his true feelings for someone else.
Jace walked into Alec’s room with a face of confusion and worry. He looked down to the floor while constantly wrapping and unwrapping the loose bandage on his hand.
“Are you really going to try again with Magnus?” he asked.
“I think I have to, you know?”
Jace nodded. “I’m glad for you.”
“Yeah… me too,” Alec blinked and looked down at Jace’s hand. “Do you want me to redo the bandages?”
Jace shook his head. “You’re always looking out for me,” he forced a laugh. “But I have to learn how to wrap things up on my own.”
Alec nodded his head and understanding and moved in closer. “Well, I’m glad for you, too,” he whispered after leaning in his ear.
Alec wrapped his arms around Jace’s neck and embraced him in a close hug. He rested his chin on his shoulder and let out a breath. To his surprise, Jace hugged him back from the waistline and let out a similar sigh of upset.
Alec didn’t want to let go and he wasn’t going to. He was going to hold on for as long as he possibly can.
Love really does make us liars.
