Chapter One
It had been a while since , I had been back to Forks . My mother grew up here, an had tons of friends down in La Push. We moved away when I was only 13. It was sad that I hadn’t kept in contact with my friends , but step father wouldn’t let me.
I was finally free of him. He had died in a car accident three weeks ago. It took that long to sell every thing an leave. There were things that I knew that I shouldn’t have.
My friend Alice was a vampire. Yeah I know I sound crazy know. But I was only 15 , when I met her that was only about five years ago. Wondering how I knew about it. Well I was almost turned but she got me away before that could happen. There’s a lot of things that go bump in the night that are real.
I was stopping at her house before, I went to see some of my old friends. I could see her car parked in front of the house. No time better then know.
I looked at my self one more time in the mirror. I know she would be mad if I looked like total crap. I got out of the car an started to head towards the house.
Before I could even reach the door , it was flung open. Alice came running out of the house. She picked me up an spun me around in her arms.
“Alice, put me down or I going to be sick” I said. She stopped putting me back down on the ground. “I can’t believe that your hear” she said. “Of course , I told you I was coming” I said.
“Come on every one is inside , there’s some stuff I so have to tell you” she said pulling me towards the house.
I was pulled into many arms of people who loved me. I looked across the room to see , Alice’s boy friend. There was something about him , he was great great great great uncle.
“Hi ,Jasper” I said. “Hi , Elena how are you?” he asked. “Good” I said. He was still unhappy that he hadn’t been able to take me away from a bad home sooner.
“Did you drive?” Jasper asked. “Yeah , but it’s a rental piece of crap” I said. “I’d like to buy you a car” he said, “You Don’t have to try to make up for this” I said. “I’m not , I want you to have a reliable car” he said. “Ok , no pansy cars though” I said. “That is so my niece” he said pulling me into his arms an giving me a hug.
“Do you mind if I crash hear for a little my place is not set up yet?” I asked. “Of course , Alice saw you coming” he said. “Good , I need to sleep” I said.
