Here is another Chaper for your enjoyment. First though I wanted to give some shout outs. First to Bella McCullogh who is my mentor for this being posted here. I was (and still am) posting to a twilight fanfic yahoo group where she is the only one who has said a single thing about this story. She suggested I post elsewhere as well so if you happen on here sweetie; thank you!
Second to LadyVoldemort87 and LadyPandorarose thank you for being the first two to comment here on this. It is very greatly appreciated.
To Ancheto; I tried to email you back but your email wasn't public. I do have other fanfic but none from this fandom. This is my first Twilight fanfic. I do appreciate your comments and if you do want to read some other stuff, I am in the process of setting up my own website and will be happy to give you the addy when I finish putting it up. email me iama.puppylover@gmail.com and let me know.
Lastly: To Rhiannon, signing up just so you can leave feedback is one of the highest compliments an author can receive. I know I only do things like that for stories that truly move me so thank you from the bottom of my heart. I went to go see the movie again so I could get more Jasper inspiration so more is on the way.
also thanks to those who have rated my story. I'd thank you by name but the site doesn't tell me who.
Now to what you clicked here for:
Chapter 11
“So did Jasper say anything about me? It’s so exciting having new boys in school especially really hot ones. And I think you will have your pick of guys here.” Jessica said in a rush.
Alice clenched her teeth. “You know, Jessica, ALL of my brothers are pretty much off limits. You’d be much better off if you didn’t go after any of them. Especially Jasper.” She added under her breath. “As for the guys, no local boys interest me. I like my guys a little dangerous.” She said with an air of disdain as she left the locker room, leaving Jessica staring at her.
Gym went by quickly and Alice changed back in her regular clothes not having time for a shower. She could hear Jessica whispering to people all during class. Looked like she had lost a potential friend. She shrugged. Oh well. Not much of a loss with Jessica. She headed over to her next class. Only two more to go before she was free. She danced into the classroom and spotted Jasper immediately. Some girl was sitting beside him and talking to the girl on the other side of him. She was obviously flirting, twirling her hair with one finger while bending slightly and leaning across his desk giving him a straight shot down her shirt. Lauren and Angela were the two girls names. Although Angela didn’t look like she was interested at all in the conversation…or Jasper. Edward sat in front of him laughing silently.
Alice took a deep breath and then made her way over to Jasper’s desk. He looked up so relieved to see her it was comical. “Um..Lauren right?” She asked the girl leaning over his desk.
“Yeah.” The girl responded belligerently.
“Um..listen, I don’t mean to interrupt your conversation but I have to talk to Jasper for just a second. Can I sit here?” She asked motioning to the desk Lauren really wasn’t using for anything more than a prop.
“But I’m talking here.” Lauren complained.
“Yes, but all the other seats around my brother are filled and you are talking to that girl,” she said pointing to Angela, “and she doesn’t have anyone behind her. I would think it would be more comfortable to not have to lean so much.” She said sweetly.
Lauren knew it would make more sense that way, but she wanted Jasper to notice her. How to keep the seat and make it seem right? “Well, this is my seat. I always sit here because I can see the board best from here. But I’ll let you talk to your brother for a second.” She said and stood up.
“Thanks.” Alice chirped taking the seat. Edward seeing what was in her mind was struggling so hard not to laugh. “Jasper, I just talked to mom and she wanted me to remind you not to forget to take your medicine when you get home. That rash is bad enough and she doesn’t want it spreading anymore. It’s embarrassing as it is.” She said in a low enough voice that it would seem like she was speaking only to Jasper but she knew Lauren could hear her.
“Eww.” She heard Lauren whisper. “You can keep the desk.” Lauren said to Alice. “I think I will sit behind Angela. We have so much to talk about.”
Edward laughed out loud then, he couldn’t help it and Jasper’s lips twitched. “Thanks.” He whispered. “Although you couldn’t have come up with any better way of getting me out of that situation?”
Alice grinned back. “This way she won’t be back for awhile.”
“By the way, good job in gym. Edward told me what you said to that girl. I’m happy to know that I’m off limits.” He teased. Alice’s cheeks flushed and she shushed him as she turned her attention to class.
When the day was finally over, Alice headed for the car only to run into Jessica cornering Jasper against the wall. “Jasper, your sister says you’re off limits but a guy like you not into dating is a crime. She’s not right is she?” Jessica pouted.
“You know she isn’t actually my sister right? She’s a Cullen, I’m a Hale. We just live in the same house.”
“Oh I knew that.” She flirted. “I just meant that she was kind of rude to me earlier when she told me that all of you were off limits. Are you? I mean not even dinner or a movie?” She hinted.
Jasper looked up to see Alice heading his way and a smile burst out. “Sorry, uh, what was your name?” He asked knowing it perfectly well.
“Jessica.” She responded heatedly.
“Right, Jessica, we are all off limits. Or at least I am for sure. My heart is taken.” He said looking at Alice the whole time. “Hey darlin’.” He called out to her. “You have a good day?”
Alice took his out stretched hand and twirled under it like a ballerina. “I had a great day but I can’t wait to get home. Are we still gonna watch that movie tonight, you promised?”
“I know I did.” He responded as they headed for the car, leaving Jessica behind. “Damn, you are quite the liar and improviser.” He said softly as the got out of ear shot.
“That’s a good thing in this family.” Alice said with a smirk and climbed in the car door he held open for her.
