The Last Battle: War of the Gods
Battle for the Border

All that following day, plans and preparations were made to drive the Calormene army back up the river, back into Tashbaan, and to destroy Tash's temple there. This was not the only thing though...a feast for the returning King Caspian and Reepicheep had also taken place.
So, one would think that with all this that had taken place, the High King would be asleep, but the High King Peter once again could not sleep. His mind would not allow him to sleep. Thoughts of the next battle ran through his mind. He felt confident, but at the same time, he felt alone. Without Aslan, he felt alone, and slightly unsure of himself due to the fact that the lion wasn't there.
He then felt a pair of arms wrap themselves about him, strong, yet feminine.
"Come to bed, my Kin."
Peter shivered, not from cold, but from some deeper place within him that he wasn't wanting to explore. this new Jadis was stimulating something that he was timid to let be stimulated by her submissiveness.
He turned his face to look at her and spoke, "What are you doing to me?"
"You defeated me in battle...you should show me who truly rules Narnia," she whispered in his ear. He turned, his eyes blazing. He tried to stop himself, but his need to conquer the former witch overrode all of his judgement.
His lips crushed hers, making the once evil queen whimper in pleasure. The two fell back onto the floor of the tent as Peter continued to dominate Jadis's mouth. She parted her lips and Peter's tongue plundered her mouth. He pulled back and look down upon his former enemy with lust.
"Not now," he growled. "My final conquest of you shan't take place until I may have you in my bedchambers at Cair Paravel."
Jadis shivered in pleasure. She had hoped to have him now, but to be conquered in his own bed...it made her want to destroy the Calormenes by herself and let him carry her over his shoulder all the way back to Cair Paravel.

"How can you keep that beautiful smile for so long?" Caspian asked Susan. The queen had not left Caspian side ever since he had come back. She didn't want to leave his side for even a second for fear he would disappear.
"You're the reason for my smile you silly," she giggled.
"Oh, I thought you were happy to see Reepicheep," Caspian quipped and Susan smacked him playfully across the back of his head.
"You and Peter and Edmund are all the same...you sure you weren't a lost brother?" she asked and Caspian laughed and kissed her on the cheek.

Edmund awoke, feeling no one sleeping beside him. He peered through the darken tent to see that Shazarraah's scimitar was missing. Getting up, he headed out. On the outskirts of the camp, he found her, training.
Her deadly dance with her invisible partner was beautiful and awe inspiring to Edmund. He stood and continued to watch her practice.
'Ok, so she's a hot head, impulsive, and not someone a king should marry, but I don't want some dolled up girl.' he thought. He then saw her drop her sword to her side. "You done?"
She turned to look at him. The pain he saw in those eyes made his fury come back to the surface for only a moment or two. Controlling himself, he came to her and put his arms about her. She tried to pull away from him, but Edmund wouldn't be denied.
"I could keep those..." she began.
"Shhhh," he said, not wanting her to speak any further on the subject. "We didn't realize that they wanted you back so badly. It's strange that they would go to so much effort to get back a Tarkheena."
She flushed, her cheeks hot as the fires that were being lit in order to cook the army's breakfast. She knew, but she didn't want to say for fear that they wouldn't let her fight.
"I think I know why they want me back so badly," she began.
"Go on," he encouraged.
"I am the last living child of the previous Tisroc before Rishda was named Tisroc by Tash."
Edmund bit his lip for a moment until his brain kicked him, remembering that she was rightful ruler of the Calormen Empire.
"Did he have a son?"
"That was the strange thing...all my brothers started dying from mysterious illnesses before I took my leave."
Edmund's eyes lit up. If he were correct, if he were to take Shazarraah as his wife, and he was beginning to want that greatly, he would become Tisroc of Calormen and Narnia would have control over Calormen.
He kissed her, "You may have given us another way to win without spilling another drop of blood."
She scowled, "If you are going to keep me..."
"Like I'd try to keep you from a battle," he said with a lopsided grin.
"You better not, or I'll kill you."
"c'mon...ten to one Peter's up and I've been struck with inspiration."

"Your plan would spare a lot of lived, Ed, but Aslan said..."
"Listen, we kill Rishda, inform the Calormenes that Shazarraah is their rightful ruler...I marry her, have babies with her..." he was stopped for a moment to recover from the blow to the head Shazarraah gave him, "and as High King, you can have all the temples to Tash destroyed."
"Hmmmm, I wish Aslan was here to hear that plan. It was his father that had said that all of Tash's followers had to be killed."
Edmund sighed, "I hope his father would be agreeable to this plan instead. We don't have the man power to kill that entire army."
"I haven't thought much on how much it was going to take to wipe out that entire army before us," Peter said.
'They aren't barbarians...my people are fools,' Shazarraah thought.

"Goodness, this is certainly a mess," Professor Digory Kirke said after Aslan had explained everything and why only he and Polly were in his country.
"But, aren't they supposed to be dead?" Polly asked.
"When I felt Tash beginning his revival of Jadis, I pulled Peter, Edmund, and Lucy just before they died and they waited, but no time passed for them. When Jadis appeared back in Narnia, I sent Peter and Edmund to dispatch her. I then sent Lucy to talk sense into the wayward sister."
"But must all this death be necessary?" Digory asked.
"My father has commanded it. He has given the two armies into each other's hands. Edmund's plan would be the correct path to take, but my father's commandments cannot be broken."
"Couldn't Tash..."
"Tash couldn't stand the light that comes from my father," Aslan replied. "Now watch, the battle once again is on."

"I grow tired of this, little king of Narnia," Rishda growled. "Now, feel the wrath of Tash!" he shouted and proceeded to twirl his sword above his head. Peter didn't know what his opponent was about to do, but then the fruits of Rishda's labor were seen. A dark blue energy gathered and when the sword's movement's ended, an attack made the Narnian army hit the dirt.
"You see? I have the blessing of Tash. Let's see how many of your army I can kill in one blow!" Rishda shouted.
Peter could only do one thing. "Retreat!" Peter called out and the Narnian army backed up behind its border. Rishda fired again and the army's retreat quickened.
"Chase them to their demonic lion's stone table!" Rishda called out. The Calormenes, now bolstered by their Tisroc's new power, chased the Narnians back into their country, to continue the battle.

Hope you enjoyed that chapter.
Let me know if the whole PeterxJadis thing is not to everyone's taste. I like it but I'd like some feedback on it.
Also, Rishda's attack should be familiar to you Inuyasha fans. It's the dragon twister from the 3rd movie.
