Camp Jupiter
Jason sat in his quarters, he was trying to work out something. His best friend Reyna had been ignoring him for months now. He was wondering what was causing her to avoid him. He thought about all he knew. Two months ago she had been summoned to see Lord Perseus, after that meeting she lost control of her powers, causing a minor battle involving the un-dead. Her father then whisked her away, and she wasn't seen for a couple of days. She then returned and started to isolate herself from everyone. Then there was her recent visits to the infirmary.
Jason had tried to find out, why she was visiting, only to be told, that it was none of his business, and if he wanted to know, then he should ask her. Jason also wanted to know why she had stepped down from her position as Praetor, Lupa had informed him, that he would have to find someone else to take the position. Most puzzling of all, was she kept being visited by Lord Perseus. He was interrupted by a knock on his door. Standing from his desk, he went and opened the door. He found a young girl, at the door. He assumed she was from one of the lower rank legions.
"Yes, what can I do for you?"
The small girl trembled before handing him a note. She then ran, leaving Jason more puzzled then before. He took the letter and carefully opened it.
Dear Jason
I know I've been avoiding you for these past few months, and I apologize for that. I am also aware that you have been enquiring about my recent trips to the infirmary I suppose by now you are pieced everything together, but if not. Then you have a right to know. I'm pregnant. Lord Perseus is the father, before you jump the gun, I wanted this. I am doing Olympus a great honour by bearing his child. The fates have foreseen an event where Olympus will be in peril, and it will be up to our child and his other demigod children to protect it. I know you had feeling for me, beyond friendship, and I am sorry I could not return them, however I see you as a friend and nothing else. I will be moving to Olympus very shortly. Lord Perseus is insisting that I spend the term of my pregnancy under his watch. Please don't be angry with me Jason, I never meant to hurt you. I hope we can still be friends, when I return.
Love Reyna x
Jason crumbled the letter, and set in on fire with a small amount of electricity. His blue eyes began glow, dark clouds began to form over his quarters and the sound of thunder rumbled in the sky. Jason was furious, how could Reyna do this to him? After everything, they had both been through together. He had always thought he would be the one to love Reyna. His eyes then darkened as he thought about the new God of Heroes, the one responsible, for stealing Reyna’s heart from him. Jason vowed, God or no God he would make Lord Perseus pay.
“Son of Jupiter here me.”
Jason spun around, drawing his gladius. "Who's there? Show yourself."
Jason looked at his floor as cracks began to form, suddenly a load of vines, began to form a sort of cocoon. Jason braced himself for an attack. The vine then parted revealing an elderly woman made of earth, walking out. Jason noticed plants began to sprout up over her whole body, as they wove themselves into a green dress. The figure smiled.
"Do not fear me son of Jupiter. I mean you no harm."
Jason gulped, "Who are you? And what do you want with me?"
The earth figure extended her arms sprouting vines from her fingers. Jason tried to slice them as they closed in on him, but found there were too many. Soon he was wrapped with his arms pinned by his side. He felt the vines retract as he was forced to move closer to the earthly figure. He held his breath, an awful stench of decay filled his nostrils. He soon found himself a few inches from the elderly woman face. He could see every wrinkle and saw several earth worms wiggling in her brow.
"My name is Gaia, the primordial Goddess of Earth, and I have a proposition for you."
Seven Months Later
Olympus, for the first time in its history was filled with high pitch cries. Percy stood between three doors, with a very pregnant Reyna sitting behind him. He had no clue which door to go to first. All three of his girls had gone into labour together, Percy knew the fates were responsible for this. Percy was happy that Reyna wasn't due for another month yet. Finally on deciding he walked into one of the rooms. He looked to the bed to see Calypso, cradling a small bundle in her arms. He smiled and walked to her bedside.
"How you feeling love?" Calypso turned to Percy with tears of joys in her eyes. "Oh Percy. He just perfect, would you like to hold him?"
Percy nodded, before taking his son into his arms. He looked down into the tiny face of his son."Hello Theseus Orion Jackson. I'm your daddy."
At the word daddy, Theseus' eyes opened revealing a golden glow. Percy looked down and was about to say something when the eyes reverted back to sea green. He then handed him back to Calypso, has Theseus had started crying, no doubt he was hungry. He watched Calypso lower one side of gown, allowing Theseus to latch on to her exposed nipple.
Calypso adjusted herself to get a little bit more comfortable. She turned to Percy and raised an eye brow. "Hadn't you better see your other children Perseus?"
Percy's eyes widened, as he thought about the possibilities of mount Thalia and mount Annabeth erupting. He leaned down and gave Calypso a gentle kiss. "I will be back soon."
He walked out and Reyna was still sitting there. "Rey, why don't you go in and sit with Calypso, you can meet Theseus then." Reyna smiled and nodded, before entering Calypso room, and shutting the door. Percy sighed.
"Now what door next?"
Annabeth laid back in bed, exhausted from hours of huffing and puffing. She cradled her newborn son in her arms, while her mother paced back and forth with a frown on her face.
"Where is he? The useless spawn of Barnacle beard. He should have been here for the birth. I knew he was no good." Annabeth sighed, she and her mother had mended the cracks in their relationship a few months ago when she had been sitting in the garden of Olympus.
Flashback
Annabeth strolled through the garden of Olympus. She had to get away from the other girls as they were driving her mental. She laughed as she thought about poor Percy, flashing, here, there and everywhere, trying to keep them all happy with their cravings. She took a seat on one of the marble benches as she felt Alex kick. She saw a brief glow from the corner of her eye. At first she thought it was Perseus, she turned and smiled, only to frown.
"Oh it’s you."
Athena recoiled at the venom in her daughter voice. She sighed. "Annabeth, I've had some time to think about what you said, and you’re right. I was never there when you needed me. Perseus was right, the rules need updating, many times I looked down from Olympus when you ran away from home, just wanting to bring you here and raise you, however due to ancient rules I was forbidden from doing that, But I swear, from now on. I will be there for you and my grandson whenever you need me."
Annabeth raised an eyebrow, she was rather shocked at her mother’s statement, it was extremely rare for her to admit she had been wrong, also deep down she was happy that she was going to be there for her and Alex. To be honest she had no clue what so ever about raising a child. question did pop into her head though. She turned to her mother.
"What about Perseus, will you finally accept my choice?"
Athena face softened a little. "I will try Annabeth, but I won't make any promises, as you know, my feeling on my uncle’s son, but if he proves to me, that he can be there for you, especially with his other girls and friends. Then I will accept him."
Annabeth smiled and patted the vacant space beside her. She allowed her mother to sit down, before resting her head against her mother's body "I'm scared mum, what if I am not a good mother, what if Alex grows up to hate me?"
Athena wrapped her arms around her daughter. "I won't allow that to happen Annabeth. We will raise him together, even if I have to break the ancient laws, I let you down once. There is no way I will let you down again."
End of Flashback
Annabeth grinned at her mother pacing. "Mum, you know we all agreed not to have Percy present at the births, it wouldn't be fair for him to choose, which one he was at."
Athena looked at her daughter. "Yes well that all well and good Annabeth, but you gave birth to Alex an hour ago, and I know for a fact he his not with Thalia, as father and Hera are with her now."
She turned to see the door slowly creep open, and a very sorry faced Perseus peeking in. "Is it ok if I come in?"
Athena glared before huffing and turning her back on him. She walked around the side of her daughters bed and took a seat next to her.
Annabeth looked up and smiled. "Well of course Seaweed Brain, after all he is yours as much as he is mine."
She watched amused as Percy slowly walked over to her side, never taking his eyes of her mother. She heard Athena snap.
"Oh for goodness sake Perseus, If I was going harm you, I would have done it by now, honestly how you got made God of Heroes I will never know. You’re as courageous as the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz."
Annabeth couldn't hold back the snigger after hearing that. She handed Alex over to Perseus, and smiled as he cradled him in his arms. Perseus held Alex and looked down. "Hello Alex Chase Jackson. I'm your daddy."
Just like before he saw Alex eyes opened, revealing the same gold as Theseus' before they reverted back to his ocean green. He handed Alex back to Annabeth and kissed her gently.
"I will be back, soon. Better go see Thalia. Good to see you Athena."
He frowned as the goddess just huffed and stuck her nose up in the air. Taking that as his cue to leave he left the room, slowly closing the door behind him.
In the other room, Thalia was wishing she was anywhere, but here, it seems Hera had found out about Zeus little fling on his last night out with Perseus, and now a mortal woman was expecting twins. She shook her head as her father ducked and dodged Hera's hand from slapping him.
"You good for nothing snake, just couldn't keep it in your toga could you."
Zeus tried to defend himself. "But sugar plum, we used protection, how was I to know she would fall pregnant."
Hera's eyes flashed "Don't you give me that, you good for nothing cheat. You know perfectly well that once a God mates with a mortal, that said mortal will fall pregnant."
This time Zeus wasn't quick enough and felt a smack against his face, as he was slapped big time.
Thalia gritted her teeth, before allowing her eyes to flash, thunder rumbled across the skies and bolts of lightning descended on to Olympus.
"Enough! If you’re going to fight then take it somewhere else away from me and Cody. I don't need this right now. I am tired and just want a little bit of peace and quiet."
Zeus and Hera recoiled at Thalia's voice, before both of them bowed their heads.
"We’re sorry, Thalia, you’re right, this is no time to fight, especially with my new grandson present, may I hold him."
Thalia calmed down, before handing Cody over to her father.
Zeus and Hera smiled down upon the little bundle. "He’s gorgeous Thalia, you should be very proud of him."
Zeus had to agree. "Yes, a fine looking grandson, we will begin all their training as soon as we can."
The King and Queen of the Gods were pull from their thoughts as Percy walked in.
"Is it ok for me to come in, I heard the rumbling outside."
Thalia smiled. "Everything's fine Percy, mum and dad was just having a little argument that all. Would you like to hold your son?"
Perseus nodded and walked up to Zeus, who handed Cody over to him. He carried Cody back over to Thalia's bedside, before sitting down and staring into the small face below him. Like before the eyes opened, revealing gold, before they reverted back to sea green. It seems all the children so far, had his green eyes. Percy looked up and grinned.
"He's perfect, well done my lighting angel." He gave Thalia a sweet kiss on the lips, before rocking Cody in his arms.
Camp Jupiter
Jason made sure every thing was packed, he had been instructed by Gaia to leave the camp and journey to an ancient place, so that he may help release her brothers and sisters from there prison. He had been filled with so much rage and anger these last few months, that no one at the camp wanted to go near him. In the space of four months he had become a total outcast. He had lost his position as praetor due to his fellow campers turning against him. Even Lupa had been avoiding him. Jason thought enough was enough and that he would follow his new Mistress’s orders. He picked up his sack, before walking out of his cabin for the last time. He marched over to the side gates, and turned to take one last look at camp Jupiter, before vanishing into the woods, never to return again.
