-------------------------------------------------------------------
“I don’t think so!”
The form of a galloping centaur knocked Edmund and Susan back at the entrance as he spoke it. Tumnus was running to Lucy. They both fell back and stared up into the eyes of Kale and shade Lucy! She was on his back! She was alive!
“You cowards.” Shade Lucy jumped down. “You are nothing but black hearted cowards.”
“Lucy!” Edmund pushed him self up. “You’re alive! How!?”
“Love.” Shade Lucy smiled. “Someone dared to love me.”
The roars of two lions made all of them turn. Aslan and Nalsa were slashing at one another. Nalsa grabbed for fur on Aslan’s neck. Aslan snarled and jumped away. The temple was alive with this battle of brothers.
“We have to help father!” Edmund started to stand but found he couldn’t. “What?”
“Not this time.” Shade Lucy smirked and shook her head. “You two will live to be punished for your crimes.”
“Your just as guilty as us!” Susan screamed.
“I have repented and made up for my crimes. I sacrificed my self for them.” Shade Lucy looked over at Kale. “And I was saved.”
There was a light in her eyes. It was strange. There was warmth behind her smile. Susan and Edmund gasped. This was even greater than the battle of brothers to them.
“Look.” Kale pointed above. “The sun is almost up.”
“Oh no.” Shade Lucy looked at Aslan and Nalsa. “The dagger will fall and pierce her stomach if Tumnus can’t move her!” She tried to run.
“No.” Kale grabbed her. “I don’t think they want to move. Look at them.” He whispered, holding her back.
Lucy was awake and looking up at the stone and dagger. Her tears were falling but she didn’t move. The battle of lions couldn’t make her. Tumnus was beside her. Kneeling down at the alter. His hands were holding hers.
“They are the legend.” Kale shook his head. “They are sacrificing them selves.”
“No!” Shade Lucy turned and hugged onto Kale. “They can’t! ”
Aslan and Nalsa were grid locked. Nalsa panted and shoved Aslan away.
“You can not stop my destiny!” Nalsa shouted it.
“You don’t have to do this, brother! We can stop the hurt of Narnia together!”
“You are a fool, Aslan!” Nalsa charged again.
“If being a fool means that I love my people than so be it!” Aslan met his charge with his own.
The two crashed into each other. Blood splattered from a claw swipe into Aslan’s fur. Nalsa struck again but his paw was caught. Aslan’s mouth gaped around it and flung him back. This battle of brothers had been coming for a long time.

“Tumnus.” Light Lucy whispered. “No matter what happens, I love you.”
“I love you too, Lucy.” Tumnus held her hand tighter. “I will always love you.”
“I’m scared.” Lucy panted. “The sun is almost all the way up.”
“I am here with you.” Tumnus smiled as best he could. “I won’t leave you.”
“Tumnus!” Light started to peek through the cracks at the top. “I love you.”
“Lucy.” Tumnus trembled and embraced her in a hug. “It is okay.” She whispered. “Please, it will be okay. Narnia will come through for us.”

The light rays were starting to fill the tower. The shadows of the towers were fading with every second. The shade Lucy Pulled away from kale and pointed up at the stone.
“Kale.” She whispered.
“I see it.” He wrapped his arms around her. “The light is almost touching the stone.”
Edmund and Susan struggled against the invisible bonds. They didn’t want to be punished for anything.
“Let us go Lucy!” Edmund panted. “We have to get out of here!”
“Lucy!” Susan winced. “You let us go!”
Kale and the shade Lucy ignored them. Their eyes traveled between the fighting lions, Tumnus, and Lucy.
Aslan slammed his paw back against Nalsa. It sent the black lion flying. When he turned to see the alter he saw the figures at it. It was just like in his vision before. He p anted and ran forward but he was stopped by Nalsa’s charging form.
They slammed back into a wall. Nalsa snarled and stepped away. Aslan was forcing him self up from rubble.
“I will win!” Nalsa let his claws flex.
“Nalsa stop this! I have to get to that alter!” Aslan trembled when he stood.
“Not before I get there first!” He jumped. “And kill the hope of Narnia!”
“No!” Aslan jumped and rammed into his chest with his forehead. “I won’t let you!”
The two slammed back. Nalsa Swiped a claw forward and Aslan caught it in his mouth. He flung the lion back and away.
“Tumnus!” Light Lucy screamed.
The light rays were there. They started to shine down on the alter. Aslan didn’t pay attention to his brothers retreating form. He was as cowardly as Edmund, Peter and Susan. He saw the dagger dropping right for Lucy’s stomach. He ran and jumped.
“No!! Lucy!!” Aslan yelled.
He rose over Tumnus and Lucy into the light of red. The dagger, that had once pierced his heart, pierced deep into him self again. Lucy screamed and sat up. Tumnus was pulling her from the alter quickly. Aslan’s body came crashing down where she once had been.
“No Aslan!” Lucy pushed Tumnus away as fast as she could. “Aslan no! This was my burden! NO!”
Her hands hit down against the stomach of Aslan. She started to cry fiercely. Lucy buried her head into the stomach of the dead lion. Tumnus was behind her. He tried to pull her away from him.
“Tumnus no!” Lucy cried.
“Kale.”Shade Lucy looked down. “What have we done?”
Her eyes traveled to Edmund and Susan. They were disappearing? Both of their bodies was suddenly consumed by shadows. The shades were returned from where they came. Shade Lucy looked at her self. She was one of them. Would she disappear?
“You won’t follow.” Kale pulled her close. “Narnia does not let hearts leave her love.”
“Kale.” She smiled. Her tears were freely falling. “But Aslan is dead.”
“Yes. A great Sacrifice.” He pointed.
Tumnus, Lucy, Kale and Shade Lucy all looked to the body of the lion. It was rising from the alter in a beautiful light. The stone Gryphons at the statues feet started to break apart as he rose upwards. First a beak was freed and then wings.
“Nahh!” Razor beak broke from the stone.
“Razor!” Cara was broken free from the other stone.
All eyes traveled up again. Lucy hugged onto Tumnus in tears still. The body of the lion burst into light. The hands above on the statue started to open. Two glowing crystals were formed in the hands.
“Could those be the,” Lucy whispered.
“Crowns.” Tumnus finished her sentence.
Kale and Shade Lucy both stepped forward slowly. The other people of Narnia that were disappearing, started to reappear all around them in the room. Tumnus and Lucy didn’t se eit but kale and Shade Lucy did.
“Look at all of them Kale. Who are they?” Shade Lucy looked up at him.
“They are the people of Narnia. They are free from the towers grasp.” Kale smiled. “The crowns. Look at them.”
“Beautiful.” Shade Lucy gulped.
The two crowns were floating down right towards Tumnus and Lucy. They both bowed their heads in respect of what was happening. Aslan sacrificed him self to save their child. Upon realizing this, Lucy gasped.
“Their love and a great Sacrifice.” She whispered.
“Aslan knew..” Tumnus held her hand. “He knew he was going to do this for us and for Narnia.”
The two crowns started to shine brighter and brighter until they vanished into the light. Lucy blinked. That was strange to her.
“They are choosing.” Kale spoke up from behind them.
“They are choosing the destined rulers of Narnia.” Tumnus looked at Lucy. “No matter who is chosen, you are my queen.”
“I love you, Tumnus ”Light Lucy whispered.
Light Lucy leaned forward and kissed him deeply passionate. When their lips met a light formed above their heads and the crowns appeared on them. One silver crown of leaves and gold rimmed berries was on the Lucy, the Valiant and one crown of three mountains, and a land of gold was on Tumnus.
They heard a whoosh of silence and awe behind them. For the first time, they heard the people talking. Light Lucy and Tumnus turned slowly to look upon the hundreds of eyes on them. The people that were gone were no longer gone. They were all bowed before the king and queen of Narnia. Even kale and shade Lucy were bowed down before them.
That familiar tingle rushed through Lucy. Tumnus’s mouth opened to speak but nothing came.
“Hail Queen Lucy!” Kale stood first and shouted.
“Hail Queen Lucy!” Everyone followed his lead.
“Hail the High King of Narnia, King Tumnus!” His fist raised into the air.
“Hail King Tumnus!” Everyone yelled again.
They all stood and even though their hearts were saddened because of Aslan’s passing, they were happy inside. They felt the warmth and love of Tumnus and Lucy fill them. Every person here knew they would rule over Narnia fairly. They would be just as great as Aslan,, and maybe even greater.

Epilogue...
Eight months later...
The sun shone down on the land. The trees were alive and healthy. The People were alive and well. They were happy now but all remembered that time, so long ago. It felt like it had been eons ago in their hearts but they still remembered.
Aslan sacrificed him self for all of them and left behind Lucy and Tumnus to rule in his stead. It was a golden time for Narnia. It would always be if Lucy and Tumnus had their say.
“Push my lady.” A woman was helping Lucy. She was in labor. “Push just one more time. You’re so close!”
“Ahh!” She screamed. Lucy grabbed Tumnus’s hand and squeezed. “Y..You push if you think it is so easy!”
The woman smiled. She knew labor hurt. The head was crowning. She could see a curly head of black hair peeking. Tumnus grunted but bared the pain of the squeezing. He had become strong in the passing time.
“One more time!” The Mid wife smiled. “The baby is almost here!”
And he came to be born. He was the son of Queen Lucy The valiant and Tumnus the Noble high King of all Narnia. The Midwife handed the small baby to his mother.
“He’s so beautiful.” Lucy was crying.
“He has your hair.” Tumnus grinned.
Lucy smiled and held the small bundle close. Tumnus ever present at her side. Dark, black curls peeked from a top the babies head. The small coos were a sweet melody to both their ears. Tiny eyes opened to look at them. They were deep, beautiful brown. A line of black seemed to surround them.
“Oh , Tumnus.”Lucy whispered. She looked up at him. The mid wife was in the corner. She knew when to give privacy. “Thank you.”
“No.” Tumnus smiled. “Thank you. You have given me a son.”
Lucy brushed the curly hair on the babies head aside. She felt something? Two, peach fuzzed nubs Protruded from his head. His tiny Ears flickered when he heard his mothers gasp. They were pointed, as an elf's ear might be. As he grew their point would be more clearly seen. The boy was otherwise human looking and had beautifully pale baby skin.
“He has your horns, Tumnus.” Lucy smiled. “And your ears.”
“He is our son.” Tumnus hugged them both. “Our own little Rayven Tumnus Pevensie.”
“You remembered.” Lucy was crying constantly. “I told you that in your sleep.”
“I always hear you, my love.” Tumnus kissed her softly. “ I always hear my hearts.”
They both looked at the baby. He was, to them at least, the most beautiful sight Narnia could ever offer.

Three more months later.....
The throne room of Cair Paravel...
“Kale!” Queen Lucy smiled. “You came.”
“I wouldn’t miss seeing the young prince for anything my lady.” The centaur chuckled.
“We heard you had a little colt of your own.” Tumnus sat down on his throne. “A little boy?”
“Yes. He is only a month old though.” Kale said proudly.
“Does our captain of the guard need a vacation?” Lucy smirked. The baby boy, Rayven was in her arms. “So you can help your mate, Keeta, with the baby?”
“She insisted on coming along.” Kale turned. “She should be along any moment. Young Aslan is with her.”
“Oh! Wonderful!” Queen Lucy smiled. “Is he walking?”
“Yes my lady.” kale nodded. You could see he was beaming with pride. “He stood twenty minutes after being born.”
“Kale.” The shade Lucy stepped in. She was his mate? Aslan was walking beside her. He had as black as fur and hooves as his daddy. His face was more like Lucy’s though. “Had to round him up. He was every where.”
“Your majesties,” Kale bowed. “May I present my wife, my mate and my love. Keeta and our son, Aslan.”
Tumnus and Lucy both looked shocked. It was a happy shocked but they were shocked.
“He is a handsome fellow Kale.” Tumnus cleared his throat. “I,” he paused. “Pardon my question here but I thought she was Lucy and she was,”
“Dead?” Kale interrupted. “No your highness. We shared each other. I used a special magic that centaurs possess to save her. “He looked at Keeta. She had renamed her self. “She didn’t deserve to die.”
“I renamed my self because I was given a chance at a new life.” Keeta smiled. “Here in Narnia.”
“Indeed.” Lucy nodded and cuddled her boy close. “A new life for us all.”
