"Our archers have nothing to shoot at the Calormenes," Susan said and Peter sighed.
"We have been forced to make our last stand here," Tirian said.
"Then, we make our stand here. We Eathers fall here or we push them back out of Narnia," Peter Proclaimed.
"Can we beat them back?" Lucy asked.
"We'll give it our best try," Peter remarked.
"We shall beat the Calormenes back, or die trying," Reepicheep proclaimed.

It was a little before dawn. The four Pevensies, along with The three eldest siblings' love interests, stood with goblets. No one said a word as they silently toasted to their health and luck in the next battle. Their confidence wasn't shattered, but they knew that they had their backs against the wall.
Peter, even though he didn't show it, was the most concerned. His battles with Rishda had all ended in stalemates. His theory about he and Rishda not being to kill each other accept for on the lands of the stone table and Tash's temple in Tashbaan. He knew that he had to be more careful or he would end up dead and death wasn't something he wanted at the moment.
"Calormenes! They are coming up the hill!" a lookout cried.
"Now? This early?" Susan asked worriedly.
"Damn," Peter swore. The Calormenes wanted to get an early start of it.
888
"Kill them while they wipe the sleep from their eyes!" Rishda shouted. His army charged and the sleepy, but quickly waking Narnian army met the charge.
"Rishda!" Peter cried, his sword drawn.
"Good morning High King, I see you didn't have the good graces to prepare us a victory breakfast," Rishda taunted.
"We were going to wait for that when we drive your army off our lands!" Peter fired back.
Rishda growled and then saw that the witch was at Peter side, looking as if she were going to watch the High King's back. This meant that the fight that Azaroth and Zardeenah wanted to have was going to be quite close to his own with the high king. He would have to be careful if Azaroth started swinging her weapon wildly.

They were back to back, giving the Calormenes before them challenging looks. Edmund smirked. If they were going to die trying, then he was going to make sure he took as many Calormenes as he possibly could.
"Let's have some sport, the one who kills the most has the right to get pleasure from the one that kills the least," Shazarraah offered.
"Hmmmm, I accept your challenge," Edmund said. This infuriated the Calormene soldiers and they charged in an attempt to kill the pair of them.
888
"How goes it, Susan?" Jill asked.
"It's too close to say," Susan said. "I hate this!" she fumed.
"This wasn't what I was expecting when I and Eustace came back," Jill said.
"No, and this is just as bad as the war that took place in our world," Lucy commented.
"There's Caspian," Susan said with a smile as she saw him and Eustace fighting back to back as hoards of Calormene soldiers surrounded them and the two fought them all off.
888
"You are keeping yourself very close to your High King," Azaroth called out to Jadis.
"That is none of your business!" she said and fired off more magic towards Zardeenah.
"Fight me, not her!" Azaroth shouted.
"No, I shall fight this battle my way, not yours," Jadis fired back.
888
"C'mon, what's wrong? Can't kill a lowly Tarkheena and a Narnian barbarian?" Shazarraah taunted.
This seems to enrage the Calormenes more, but that was what Shazarraah wanted. She knew that if they were all mad, they would all start swinging their swords wildly, and that would lead to one Calormene accidently killing a fellow. And, as Shazarraah wanted, one ended up killing one, and slicing off the arm of a second. This lead to a fight within their numbers and Edmund and Shazarraah picked them off like a pair of vultures.
888
'I must try...now how did Rishda do it?' Peter thought and held the sword above his head and start twirling it.
"Hahaha, do you think you can pull off the attack that only my sword can do?" Rishda taunted.
888
'I feel something," Jadis thought, feeling the build up of magic from the battle between her king and Rishda.
888
Rishda continued to laugh, but then stopped, seeing a bright, golden light. His eyes widened in horror as he saw it. And, like Rishda did to him, Peter sent the attack at the Tisroc. A loud roar, that sounded a lot like Aslan, was heard and the light cut the ranks down of the Calormenes, breaking the formation of the archers who had been ready to send their fiery arrows against the Narnians.
"What do you think now, Rishda?" Peter asked.
"Why you!" Rishda snarled and charged. With renewed confidence, Peter met the charge and two continued their deadly dance.
888
"Amazing," Susan gasped.
"Look! It looks like releasing that attacked help our side," Lucy said. Susan smiled, seeing that Caspian and Eustace had cleared their immediate area and were chasing the Calormenes. In fact, the Calormene lines had been broken and the Narnians were now on the offensive.
888
Hours passed. The sun now beat down on the two fighting armies. The Calormenes had been taken a pounding. Then, things got worse for the Calormenes. Susan and the rest of the archers had found arrows that the Calormenes had carelessly dropped in their short retreat.
"Aim!" Susan called, "Fire!" she shouted. The arrows went flying which made the Calormenes back off further.
888
"Retreat! Fall back to beyond their lands!" Rishda ordered, having been wounded by Peter, and with those orders given to the rest of the army, the Calormenes once again fled Narnia.
"Everyone, collect materials that can be used for arrows. I don't want to be put in this situation ever again!" Peter shouted. The army split up to find materials and discarded arrows.
888
A celebration was held that late afternoon and well into the night. The battle had started to go in the Calormenes' way, but the moment Peter had done what he had done, it seemed to turn the tide of battle back in their favor. The celebration would continue well on into the night, but most of the major players had been so tired that they didn't stay up as long as the majority would, having been through their roughest battle yet. Soon though, the Narnian army would begin to push their enemy back to Calormen.
