The plan was simple; wait for Elphaba to return and then make the green girl red with lust. Glinda could hardly wait as she explored the cramped room, knowing it was only a matter of time before her love would be in her arms.
Night arrived and Glinda’s anticipation finally paid off. Elphaba arrived in a cloak that hid all but a hint of her green face. Glinda had hidden herself in a dark corner and was not noticed by the green girl.
As Elphaba went about her chores of feeding the cat, then making herself dinner and finally reading a book at the dinner table, Glinda figured it was time to put her plan into action. She knew that Elphaba was always alone unless Fiyero was there, and he wasn’t coming tonight, so when she strode out of the corner, and took a seat at the table, she did so with elegance and confidence.
As she pulled the chair away from the table, Elphaba jumped in surprise, dropping her book and losing her place in the process.
“Hello dear, it’s been far too long,” Glinda smiled, giving nothing away.
Elphaba stood there, dumb-founded and apparently at a loss for words. She stuttered a little and looked around as if this was her first time in this particular room. At least she gathered her thoughts into the most obvious question, “How did you find me?”
“Simple my dear, Fiyero led me right to you. Mind you he didn’t know he was being followed. I’ve grown quite fond of magic these past years, and now all that work has paid off,” Glinda laughed boisterously with the back of her hand over her mouth. “Did you think you could keep me away forever?”
“You have to leave, now!” Elphaba ran over to the door, her black skirt bustling with the exertion. However, as she pulled on the door handle she found that it was locked. She examined the bolt to find that it was open but she still could not move the handle.
Glinda got up silently as Elphaba continued to struggle with the magicked door and moved behind the frantic green girl. “Now, now Elphie, is that really the way you treat a friend from your past. I mean a simple ‘hello Glinda what an unexpected surprise’ would’ve been nice, don’t you think?” She said as she laid one of her hands on Elphaba’s shoulder, trying to calm her down.
Elphaba froze, “What did you come here for Glinda? I left all those years ago to protect you, just by being here you’re in danger!” She turned and looked pleadingly into Glinda’s eyes.
“What about Fiyero!” Glinda was truly insulted and got caught up in the moment, “Isn’t Fiyero in danger, huh? He was just some boy from the West that you didn’t even know very well. Is it because he’s sleeping wi-”
Elphaba blushed and turned around as the words slipped out of Glinda’s mouth. Realizing her mistake too late, Glinda silently cursed herself and decided that it was time to speed things up. “You know Elphaba, I could be much more than Fiyero has been. I’ve seen you two together. I could give you more pleasure and love than he ever could.”
Elphaba turned around, stunned, the woman who had just spoken sounded completely different than the one from two seconds ago. “Who are you?” She asked, then added, “What was the real reason you wanted to find me?”
“Simple,” Glinda stated as she began to stalk forward, “Revenge.”
Elphaba felt like she was a cornered rabbit. Her eyes were darting everywhere as she looked for some way of escape. She ran to her bed and pushed it to reveal a secret hatch that must have been there in case of a raid by the Gale Force. Much to her chagrin, she experienced the same problem she discovered on the previous door. Glinda had left nothing untouched.
Elphaba backed up against the wall. Like a cornered rabbit she stood there shaking in fear and…anticipation? Elphaba didn’t know what to make of this situation. She hadn’t seen her friend in years, but now that she was here, Elphaba felt drawn to her former friend. She remembered how much it hurt when she had left Glinda all those years ago. Not just the emotional pain, but also the physical when she had found a place to live and had cried herself to sleep, the tears had burned so badly that she couldn’t go out because her skin had to heal. Now that Glinda was here, Elphaba’s sadness, longing, love for her friend resurfaced suddenly and drowned out all her rational thinking.
Glinda stopped a mere foot away from the green girl and leaned forward, whispering in her ear, “There’s no way out Elphaba, tonight you will be mine!”
