Hi Guys! Sorry for the first chapter to be so short. This one is much longer. =D

Chapter Three: Unreal
Neither of them budged for a good second until the Hatter spoke once more. “You’re not Alice.” He said in confirmation.
“No! Can you go, now? You’re scaring me!” Adina said in a nervous tone. All she wanted to do was just go to a concert to see one of her favorite bands play with the one she had a crush on for years. Not sulk the whole day and meet a psychopath.
“Very well, then.” Throwing the parchment into the air, it instantly became a black cane with a huge oval garnet crowning the top. He grabbed it and waltzed toward Adina with grace. “Thank you for your time.” His hand raised the cane and seemed to ready himself for a brutal attack towards her.
“Oh my god! Your cane just…” Adina was overwhelmed. A piece of paper turned into an expensive cane, and that cane was going to hurt her by the serial killer that she always new this guy was. “What are you doing?!” She hollered as she crawled backwards to her bed post. This was really going to be the end for her, Adina thought. She was going to be right about everything she thought about earlier.
He stopped, and gave the most confused face Adina seen in her life. “What do you mean? I’m going to kill you.” Cullen distinctively heard her say that she wanted to die. So, why not show a bit of appreciation for taking time from her life by ending it? ”You want to die, yes?”
“I did but-”
“Then why do I sense an emotion of fear from you?”
“I just want a happy life! Is that wrong?! My life is going no where!”
A sigh escaped from the porcelain face and let go of the cane as it vanished into thin air. “Neither is mine. I’d like to kill myself, as well.” Cullen folded his arms.
“Then why don’t you? You were so quick to put me out of MY misery.”
“The future queen of my world adores me for reasons that are unbearable. She gave me immortality. Therefore, I cannot die.” He thought of all the times he tried jumping off of cliffs, stabbing, and poisoning himself and failed miserably. “No matter how hard I try to die, I can’t.”
“You,” she paused and looked at his face and recognized that he was relatively young to be the mad hatter. “You’re really the Mad Hatter?”
Cullen’s eyes sparkled a little when Adina mentioned the man he looked up to for decades; chuckled lowly. “Oh, heavens no. That would be impossible.”
Relieved to know that he wasn’t as insane as she thought he was, Adina gave a little smirk towards him on such silly thoughts.
“I’m his great-great grandson.”
Maybe not. “O-oh!” she stuttered. Adina was thinking about how things were becoming very illogical now that this man is her. Then began to think that she was sleeping and this was a dream. It would defiantly explain the paper-to-cane-to-nothing morph. “I must be dreaming.”
Cullen chuckled some more. “If you say so, dear.” His body gracefully swirled away from the boyish girl and trotted back to the corner of her room where her life size mirror hung on her wall.
“If this is a dream, you wouldn’t mind coming back to Wonderland with me and never return, would you?” his voice was very casual and calm. He needed to get her back to his world until he could find out what hidden power was in her soul. If she really was Alice, then all will be well for his land. “You can always wake up to return home, after all.” He smiled and held out his hand towards Adina as the mirror’s reflection began to distort.
“Dream,” To Adina, all this had to be a dream because the mirror was now tripping out. “Alright, I’ll go.” It wouldn’t be a problem. Like the mad man said, this is a dream and will always wake up from it.
She slowly slid off her bed and tip toed around the clutter towards the Hatter. Adina refused to accept his hand, though. Even though this was a dream to her, she still felt that physical contact was needed. Her eyes glazed the surface of the mirror and inhaled. It was like nothing she ever seen. She thought that if she touched it, she would get absorbed from like Neo in the first movie of the Matrix. This caused her to have second thoughts, now.
“You know, I don’t think I want to go any-” Adina wasn’t able to finish her words due to a quick wrap around her shoulders from Cullen’s arm, a forcing hull into the mirror and a bright flash of light in her eyes. Her eyes adjusted and found both of them on a cliff with grass and vines of flowers overflowing the edge. It was Wonderland.
“Welcome to my home.” Cullen said in a seemingly sad voice. Adina didn’t seem to notice at all. She was too amazed by the view.
There, she saw fields and fields of flowers. They seemed to change colors and change each time the wind blew, trees that were so big, the smallest one had to be at least ten feet wide, and a village with houses that seemed to be made of mushrooms. There lay a manor far on the other side of the village; closer to the large tree forest and a huge white palace with swirled, abstracted hearts decorating its flags and walls.
“It’s breath taking.”
“To bad our future queen will be a total cunt.” Cullen hissed with a snarling face, “That is why I brought you here. My home needs Alice to be our future queen, instead.”
Adina was pretty sure she convinced him that she wasn’t Alice. Maybe this guy just doesn’t listen very well. “But I’m not Alice, remember? How can I help anyone?”
Relaxing his expression, he turned to Adina with a grin. “I believe you are, dear.” His arm that wrapped around Adina pulled her closer to him, and then stared down to have direct eye contact. “I can feel her power in you.”
Adina’s heart began to beat fast as he hypnotized her with his eyes. At that moment, she couldn’t help but find him very attractive. Cullen’s hair glistened in the sun light making it seem the color of silver and his breath smelled as sweet like vanilla and almonds. ‘To bad he is only a dream’ she thought.
Cullen broke the eye contact. “Imagine something. If you’re Alice, your dreams will become a reality in this world.”
“Uh,” Adina noticed that they were now inside a huge entrance room with marble flooring, pillars and a grand stair case on the left and right side of the room with two doors under its balcony. She was going to ask how they got there, but didn’t even bother. “Yeah, sure.”
Her mind began to think of the color blue. Adina loved the color blue, she wished that if wind had a color, it would be blue. Nothing happened when she waved her hand to create a small wind currant, though. “Sorry, not your girl. I think I want to go home now.”
“You can’t leave.” Cullen instantly replied. “You’re not dreaming.”
“Yes I am.”
“If you were dreaming, could I hurt you?” He reached over and pinched her shoulder.
“Ow, you bastard!” Adina said in shock. “This can’t be real. I don’t want to be Alice!”
“That’s why you’re here, to make sure you’re not Alice.” Cullen started to walk to the staircase on the right. “Come, we have many tests to do.”
Adina sighed and stared at the window. Her feelings towards this whole Alice thing didn’t seem to good to her. If she was Alice, then she’d have this whole world depending on her and if she failed, everyone’s life would be miserable because of her. However, if the wind in this world ever wanted to look like a translucent ocean, it seemed that she did succeed in making it happy as the blue waves crashed onto the trees from afar.
