I'm back!!
You really thought you could keep me away? Bahahaha!
Anyhoo, on with the show...Time to find out what the vengeful Tsubaki is really after. And whether she has killed Carlisle...Dum dum dah! PS. *_* <-- This dude stands for change in the point of view. The name of the person who is narrating is next to it. OK? Cheerio.
Disclaimer: I can already tell I'm going to find this annoying. The Twilight fandom and all associated characters belong to Stephanie Meyer and publishing company, not me. I claim no ownership over them nor am I trying to make any money.
Also, as I feel I should give credit where credit is due... Tsubaki, my creation, was largely inspired by the InuYasha fandom created by Rumiko Takahashi and I am in no way claiming ownership over Takashi's artistic brilliance. Thank you, and goodnight.

I saw it all and I couldn't even tell you what happened.
One moment, I was on Edward's back and we were running through the woods and the next, with a crash of thunder, we're slammed to the ground. Carlisle and Alice are at my side immediately. Edward gracefully rolls off me and Alice pulls me into a hug.
"Are you injured?" She whispered so softly I could barely hear it.
I didn't have time to think of a response as I saw a beautiful woman emerge from the trees. She was of Asian descent, with smooth tan skin and fair eyes. In fact, they were unnaturally fair, light blue like the colour of the midday sky on a cloudless day. Her luxurious black hair flowed around her shoulders and down to her bottom. She was dressed in black leather pants with a midnight blue leather halter. Over her stomach, the fabric was corseted making her waist seem far too small. Strapped to each leg, where one's arms would rest naturally were two very large black guns. Her black leather pants disappeared into satin black boots with silver buckles down the side. In her right boot glinted a long silver blade that fit perfectly against her leg. Her boots added two or three inches to her height but she was already quite tall. Statuesque. Perhaps it was simple the way she carried herself. It was in a very regal, authoritative manner. Like that of a Queen.
"Tsk, tsk. I should have known you'd be unable to resist the temptation of flesh for so long, my old friend" Even her voice was beautiful. Melodic, like a gentle breeze of wind.
Carlisle hissed at the woman and took up a fighting stance. His eyes flashed as he bared his venomous teeth to the stranger. How could he be afraid of her? Granted, she had weaponry but it was no match for Vampire strength and speed.
"Tsubaki." He spat distastefully. Even when he was trying to sound mean he was extraordinary.
The woman flashed a pretty smile, showing her perfect white teeth. "I can't say that I thought you would have forgotten but it's nice to make an impression."
Another low hiss of anger escaped Carlisle as she spoke with such familiarity. Then, something odd occurred. Not that this wasn't already odd enough but something strange happened.
A soft blue light seemed to encompass the mystery woman and change her subtly. One moment, she was clothed as I described and the next she was wearing foreign...robes, I guess. My vision seemed to blur slightly, like she was out of focus or faded. She was now wearing billowing red pants and a long white shirt that tied shut. Over her back was a quiver of arrows and a bow that seemed to be too large to be of any use. On her feet she wore socks and wooden sandals with two blocks, one at the start of her heel and the other near the start of her toes. Her hair was arranged differently, two pieces hung next to her face while the rest was tied back behind her ears with white string.
As suddenly as it happened it disappeared. In a blink, the ancient clothes were gone and the blurriness faded. No one else seemed to notice the strange shift and I questioned myself whether it really occurred.
"Why are you here? We haven't broken any laws!"
Laws? I thought, could she be one of the Volturi minions sent to check up on my Vampire status? I wanted to say something but the words caught in my throat.
"No, you haven't" She replied smoothly. Then in one quick motion too fast for me to see, her gun from her right leg was in her hand and pointed at Carlisle. "Not yet."
With a echoing blast, she shot Carlisle. Luckily, he seemed to have been prepared and put out his hand to presumably catch the bullet. I knew that Vampires had skin like granite, which very little could penetrate it. To see the bullet go through his hand and into his shoulder was more of a shock than actually seeing him catch the thing.
Gasping in pain, he fell to the ground, clutching his wounded hand. Alice was gone from my side and kneeling next to Carlisle, examining his wound as she helped him into a sitting position. The anger was plain on her angelic face as she screamed at the woman.
"What have you done to him? What do you want?"
The woman called Tsubaki holstered her weapon and spoke softly. "What I want is peace. What I am here for is information."
"Does that require you having to shoot him?" Edward spat as he shielded me from her.
She shifted her attention from Alice to Edward and looking him in the eye for a long time. Her eyes were unnatural. They were the only thing that gave away her human guise.
"It proves a point."
"And what is that, Tsubaki?" That was Carlisle's voice.
He sat with Alice's help and cradled his injured hand to his chest. He wasn't bleeding as the blood inside him didn't pump through his veins but the holes were clearly visible as blood dripped out slowly.
"That I can hurt you." She said candidly, in all seriousness. "That I can kill you right now but I'm not going to. You are correct. You haven't broken any laws but there are those here who have. I have come to eliminate them."
"There are no others here. We're the only coven in this area." He responded, his tone was guarded.
"I'm not looking for a coven of Vampires." She said, looking him in the eye with her unnatural gaze. "I'm looking for a coven...of wolves."
The pause was long and awkward. She was hunting werewolves. The La Push werewolves. Jacob!
Edward was the first to speak. "They prefer to call it a pack." Pause. "What have they done? What are you?"
The one called Tsubaki smiled again, showing her perfect teeth, as Carlisle groaned audibly.
"She was testing us. She knows they aren't a coven. She wants to know how much we know."
"Very true, old friend. As for your second question...I'm surprised Carlisle hasn't shared my existence with his new...family."
Then those pale eyes fell on me. Her stare was disconcerting...Even more so than Edward's. Rather than looking into my soul she seemed to look right through me to my thoughts. I knew that couldn't be possible; no supernatural powers seemed to work on my messed-up mind but the feeling made my skin crawl nonetheless.
"Come to me, child." She called, her voice like a tinkering silver bell.
My body acted without my permission as I rose and walked slowly over to the woman. Edward was on his feet and beside me in a flash but when he grabbed my arm to stop me he was thrown backwards as Emmett had been.
"No, Edward!"
"Don't try to stop her!" Carlisle yelled. I noticed Alice was on her feet but his words stilled her movement.
A tear slipped down my cheek as I stopped before the beautifully destructive Tsubaki. She gently brushed the tear away with her fingers, her touch was soft and light. She let her finger slide down my cheek before she spoke.
"Are you their pet or their prey?"
I didn't respond. I couldn't as I didn't even understand the question. I simply stared mutely at her, trying to convey my hatred for her. She made me hurt Edward. I would never intentionally hurt him!
She looked me over, taking my chin in her fingers and tilting my head up. She turned my head to the right and then left, scrutinizing my appearance. Then, her eyes flicked downwards and she saw my left arm with the long scar that ran up from my wrist to my elbow; a reminder from my previous birthday. She gently grasped my wrist and extended my arm before her. Eying the scar critically she spoke again.
"A pet, I see."
"She is not a pet! She...She's my bride!" Edward yelled hoarsely.
Tsubaki laughed for the first time, a pleasant sound from such an exquisite creature. Deadly as she may be.
"Vampires don't take humans for companions. They are food." She paused and looked at me again. "Are they holding you against your will? You can leave now any time you wish and I will do nothing to stop you."
"I don't want to leave." I mumbled pathetically.
She eyed me critically before releasing my arm and stepping back. My body seemed to be back under my own power and I ran over to Edward and Alice. I moved to throw my arms around him but he dodged me swiftly. It took a moment for me to realize why...He was afraid of me. Afraid I would hurt him again.
Tsubaki laughed again at Edward's reaction. "Don't worry. She won't hurt you now."
Slowly, he brought his hand to my face and cupped my cheek. As soon as I felt his cool skin touch mine he wrapped me in a fiece embrace, crushing me to him. He held me so tight I was unable to draw a breath but it felt so good. Just as I was about to ask him to let me breathe he anticipated my need and loosened his arms. Not releasing me altogether but rather holding me gently around my waist. Her attention shifted again from us to Carlisle as she spoke again.
"Tell me what I want to know and I will show you how to treat yourself." She said, with a hard edge in her tone.
Carlisle looked at her darkly, his honey-coloured eyes flashing with anger. "Why should I tell you where to find them, you should already know."
"The pack is not complete. There is one missing. I've searched for months but I cannot find it anywhere. Tell me where it is hiding!"
Carlisle laughed darkly as he rose to his feet. He swayed slightly but remained upright. "Why would Vampires hide a lone wolf?"
Her gun was once again drawn in a flash and aimed at his head. "Because only Vampires could hide it so perfectly. Tell me where to find it and I will leave you and your dark family in peace."
"Yes, for how long this time? Another centuary or so before you decide to rid the world of our 'evil' presence?" His voice had bit and his tone was dripping with sarcasm. "We have no information on the lone wolf's whereabouts. Now let us go and leave us alone!"
Tsubaki eyed Carlisle darkly before inclining her head in a perceptable nod. "You know nothing. Very well. I will not harm you or your...family. It is against the laws...Though very few apply to dark creatures."
She paused for a moment and took in the sight of the three Vampires and one human. Edward held me protectively while Alice supported Carlisle, her venomous teeth bared.
"I request to be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. " She asked politely. "I shall even offer my blessing should you so wish."
Both Edward and I opened our mouths to tell her to go to hell but Carlisle spoke first.
"We would be honour by your presence. However, as non-believers of your faith, we cannot accept your traditional blessings."
She eyed Carlisle again but much more softly this time. Her eyes held a warmth that went beyond recognition. "Very well. I shall take my leave of you."
Closing her eyes, Tsubaki bowed her head. All four other beings present watched in utter amazement as powder blue wings burst forth from her back; stretching out 3 metres in either direction. She carefully folded her wings behind her as she walked towards me again. She stopped short as Edward had commenced growling, growing louder with each step she took towards us. She outstretched her arms to me and once again my body no longer answered the commands from my brain. Despite Edward's unbreakable hold, I walked out of his arms and into hers. Placing her hands on my shoulders, she held me comfortably as her enormous wings enclosed us in a feathery cocoon. She stared at me with her pale eyes, scrutinizing my face. I avoided looking into her eyes and instead tried to concentrate on the giant wings surrounding us. Upon finishing her scrutiny, she took her right hand off my shoulder and reached up to her ethral wing and plucked a long, blue feather. She held it for me.
"I offer you my protection. Take this and should the need ever arise, use it to summon me."
I looked at the feather in her hand then up at her. Though I assumed she was obviously older than she appeared, she looked close to my own age. Her face looked kind, despite all the bad things I had seen her do. She looked good. I gently took the feather from her. It was incredibly soft and about 7 inches long.
"I don't need protection from them; they are my family." Even though I meant to sound firm and believable, my voice trembled.
"And they protect you as such. But, I know with some certainty, that you are one who requires the protection of many." She paused and brushed my forehead with her fingers. "Your soul is pure. Even the darkness of the one you love cannot taint that. Though I may not appear good to you, I am a protector of light and purity. I restore harmony and balance to a world of chaos. Should chaos try to consume you, call me and I will be there."
Her lips brushed my forehead softly as her wings opened and she released me. After taking three steps backwards, she knelt down on her right knee and looked up at the sky. In a motion too fast for my human eyes to comprehend she rose up and streaked towards the heavens.
And she was gone.
