On with part 2!
Chapter 1 Lineage Part 2
I had a stop to make first. I was getting an odd vibe from Uncle Damon at the moment and as far as I knew, we didn’t have the mind connection. Only twins had that power.
I apparated into the living room or popped in as Uncle Damon referred to it to see Uncle Damon and another woman, who was being attacked by a wolf. I quickly said, “Stupify!” pointing my wand at the wolf, which was immediately thrown back against the wall.
Uncle Damon and the woman quickly got up and turned to see me.
“Hi Uncle Damon and mystery woman,” I said with a smirk on my face, “looks like the wolf has been knocked out cold. Do you want me to kill it or wait until the poor creature wakes up?”
“Uncle? She sure has spunk,” the mystery woman muttered, she didn’t seem to be thrilled about not being killed just then.
“Thanks,” I said back, she turned to look at me amazed I could hear that.
“What is she? She has a beating heart,” the mystery woman said.
“Eh… she’s what you might classify as special?” Uncle Damon tried to describe, though I couldn’t help but to scoff.
Uncle Damon had picked his glass of blood up from the bar table on the backside of the couch. The smell of the blood was enticing I noticed.
“Special Uncle Damon? How about a mixture of your family curse and my father’s family curse? Oh what the hell, ok mystery woman, I am a vampire and a witch.”
“A what?” she spat back.
I had enough of this. She clearly didn’t understand. I quickly grabbed her shoulders, apparated both of us into the kitchen and back. Once I let go, she stumbled a bit.
“Now are you convinced? And can I at least get a name instead of referring to you as mystery woman?”
“Isabella this is Rose,” Uncle Damon scolded and handed me my own cup of blood, “Quit being a brat and calm down with this.”
“Sorry, Uncle Damon, it’s just my nature. And it’s Bella.” I took the cup of blood, bringing it to my nose and breathed in deeply, it had been months since I had had a cup of blood. I began to drink the blood as if it was an elixir of life. Uncle Damon noticed this I thought.
“Like I said, you have spunk.” Rose said.
I took a look around after I finished the glass of blood; especially where the wolf ended up, the place was a disaster. I looked back towards my uncle.
“So want me to take care of this?” I said referring to the wolf.
“Gladly,” he responded with gesturing his hand towards the mess and also with a hint of sarcasm.
With a wave of my hand, the wolf was gone.
“How did you do that? The other witch I have seen, Bonnie, one of Elena’s friends always uses a chant and she’s definitely not in the same level as you are.” Rose said; she seemed to be impressed by my abilities.
Ever since Harry and I were little, we were able to simply just get rid of people with a wave of our hands. We accidentally did that to Sirius once, Dad was a little miffed but we found him about a week later. He was sopping wet and a bit cold, we accidentally sent him to Antarctica. It was a good thing we had put a protective spell on him right before that, at least he didn’t freeze to death. Mum just about didn’t know what to do with us, either laugh at accidentally sending him away somewhere or scold us for doing so. She loved that the children of the Maurader’s were able to pull a prank even if it was just on accident to another Maurader.
“It’s hard to explain, my brother Harry and I, we’re twins but we’re also what you would call once in a life time kind of people I guess. We have special abilities. Our mum was and is still very smart and gifted herself but we’re a bit more beyond that you could say. Where’s grandfather? He would be able to explain better.” I asked looking at Uncle Damon.
“Well he’s gotten himself locked away so to speak,” he replied, he had a certain look on his face that I didn’t like.
This could only mean trouble. Sometimes it seemed like we always were having to go and save somebody. Heaven help us, there’s no telling what grandmother had gotten into with her fiery spirit.
“Where is he?” I asked again. I’m not quite sure I wanted to know the answer truthfully. I took another glass of blood and drank it a little quicker this time.
“In the tomb,” he paused, “with your grandmother.”
“Wait, Katerina Petrova is her grandmother? How was she able to have a child as a vampire?” Rose asked.
“Bella….” Uncle Damon started in as he could sense I was about to apparate away.
“Long story, save for later. Thanks for the drinks Uncle Damon! Bye!” I said apparating away to the tomb with a smirk on my face once again.
The tomb was dark and dreary but with a simple wave, the place was lit with the torches on the wall, fire spread not too far but just enough to fill the place with enough light to see. It looked somewhat dirty but then again, you couldn’t expect a place to clean up after itself. On the far end, there was a darker section, which is where I assumed my grandparents were at the moment.
“Alright my dear grandparents, what did you do now? And why are you in here? Don’t tell me you’ve reconciled and are going at it. If you are, I’ll leave.” I muttered.
“Oh my dear Isabella, how nice of you to come see your grandmother,” Katerina spoke, “Care to join us?”
“No Bella, don’t!” Stefan said coming into view.
I took a step closer to the boundary line where apparently they were stuck in. I stuck my hand out towards it, I was able to put my hand in and bring it back out.
“Now tell me, before I decide to let either of you out, why are you in here? Doesn’t our family have enough trouble without you furthermore creating more for your own entertainment grandmother?” I asked.
I noticed Grandfather had a smug look to his face.
“You know nothing little girl,” Grandmother spat back at me.
I rushed through and had her pinned at the wall, holding her by her neck and arms.
“You’re not supposed to be able to do this,” she said in breaths.
I gave her a smug look, “And just why not Grandmother?”
“Bella…” Grandfather said, I turned to look at him, “are you what I think you are?”
“Yes, I am pregnant with…”
“You can’t be this strong, I wasn’t with your mother.” Grandmother said as her vampire veins in her face were starting to appear, growing irritated.
“Haven’t you learned anything over the years or bothered to study other vampires with the same or similar curses on your family as was on my father’s side?” I said looking into her eyes again, “The Potter women always carry twins, no matter if they are by blood or by marriage, they will have twins. Twins make the line stronger, stronger in blood, stronger in unison and most definitely in power.” I dropped her to the floor of the tomb. “Not to mention, Uncle Damon gave me blood, two glasses in fact.”
Grandfather took me into his arms, holding me and breathing in my scent. I could sense Grandmother trying to run at me to attack but I simply stopped her with my hand.
“You know half of my genetics are from your side so I can assume either I received all of Grandfather’s smart brains or I could assume that you really are smart and just have forgotten your sense of control. Do I have to stick Mum on you? Or who is it you’re afraid of these days? Klaus?”
“Bella, easy there,” Grandfather interrupted, he has always been and always will be the peacekeeper. “Let’s just get out of here.”
“What is it that got you in here the first place?” I asked.
“To put a long story short, your grandmother is the reason why I’m in here. I was trying to save Jeremy, Elena’s brother. We were trying to get the moonstone from her. Jeremy went in before we could stop him. She fed from him, though from the looks of it, she’s hungry again.”
I waved my hand again, this time close to a solid giant rock. A cup of blood appeared. Grandmother instantly went for it, though she was repelled against it when she hit the force field around it.
“Well if you would wait for the spell to be over, it would replenish itself for you when you reached the bottom of the cup,” I said finishing the spell. “Now you can have it.”
Grandmother hesitantly went back but once she had a hold of it, she drank it and then kept drinking for another ten minutes.
“Keep in mind, no matter how much of that you drink, I’ll always be stronger than you so don’t try to harm me.” She nodded in agreement and understanding thankfully.
“Bella are you sure you can get out now?” Grandfather asked.
I quickly tested it by running back out and then back to him.
“Yep, it works,” I said, “Now let’s go.”
I lifted the force field with my magic and while Grandmother did try to run off away from us, she quickly found out she couldn’t get too far.
“Bella what did you do?” Grandfather asked as we walked out of there.
“When Grandmother drank the blood, it also binded her to me. She can’t just run away causing havoc wherever she goes anymore. I have control over her.”
Grandfather laughed and said, “That’s pretty clever, you’re just like your mother.”
I smiled back up at him.
“Now it’s time you told me why you’re here Bella,” he said, “Don’t get me wrong, I am grateful you got your grandmother and myself out of there but there’s a reason why you’re here by yourself isn’t there?”
“Do you want the simple answer or the complex answer first?” I looked at him sheepishly.
“On second thought, lets just get back to the house first. How did you get here?” Stefan asked.
Katerina wasn’t too far from them now. She had given in and just stayed near.
“Apparated?” I said. Grandfather wasn’t a fan of apparating. Mum did it once with him, he nearly fell over and couldn’t get up for hours.
“What’s that?” Katerina asked. Mum had never apparated with her before, she favored her father more.
“Go ahead and apparate with your grandmother Bella,” Grandfather said with a smile, “I’ll meet you at the house.”
I caught his meaning and nodded, taking Grandmother’s arm tightly, I apparated on the spot to the boarding house, right back to where I left Uncle Damon and Rose.
As I had grabbed a hold of Grandmother, I noticed she was starting to struggle but I had apparated so quickly into the living room of the boarding house that the possibility of splinching her was not possible.
Grandmother had fallen to the floor in shock and for once, was out of breath. That was sure fun to see, I thought and grinned.
I could hear laughter from both Uncle Damon and Grandfather as they watched Katerina fall so gracefully as she tried to muster up to the ground. Rose seemed to be wanting to laugh but was trying to hide her laughter behind her hand. (AN: Yes I know apparating is faster than vampires running but for the sake of the story, Stefan manages to get to the Boardinghouse just as fast.)
“See what did I tell you?” Stefan, my grandfather snickered towards Uncle Damon, “Bella apparating with someone who doesn’t know the effect of it, is fun to watch.” My grandfather and uncle could only laugh and grin as my grandmother, Katerina was still trying to find her way to an upright position.
I held my hand out to her to help her up. Call it a truce of sorts.
“Come on Grandmother,” I said. The look on her face was still one of shock. “You know you’re going to have to get used to that feeling since I’m taking you home with me later.”
“Excuse me young lady? I’m not going anywhere with you.” Katerina spattered.
“Oh I believe you are and if you dare to try to harm any of us—that includes Mum, Dad, Harry, Cameron or Katie, then not only will you have myself coming after you but Mum as well. Mum can be scarier than me so don’t mess with her.”
This whole protective instinct stuff with the special pregnancy in our family was like a mortal’s crazy hormones going awry but just without the craziness factor.
“Hell you’re scarier than Damon here,” Rose chimed in.
“Hey I take offense to that!” Uncle Damon interjected.
I only smiled at the two of them and then I noticed there were currently more blood bags out than before. Grandfather noticed I was eyeing one of the bags so he picked one up and tossed it to me.
“Here,” he said, “You’ll need this. Have you told your Mum yet about this?”
As soon as he had tossed the bag to me, I had it open and began drinking heavily like. It was almost as good as sex, if not better at some points. I began to moan while drinking it and at the same time, I had caught another bag he had tossed my way.
To them, I’m sure I looked ravenous.
“Bella what’s going on and why are you acting like you’re having an orgasm with that blood bag?” Uncle Damon asked. Only he would be so crude.
“Damon! Shut up,” Grandfather sniped.
“What? That’s what it looks like Stefan,” Uncle Damon shrugged and let it go.
“Do you want to inform him of what you are at the moment Bella? Or shall your grandmother or I spill the beans?” he asked.
“Alright,” I gave in, might as well and looked at Uncle Damon, “So I’m pregnant. No big deal.”
“No big deal?” his eyes started to become dagger like and his nose flared.
“Ok so it is a big deal…considering,” I said in a lower tone towards the end and working on my third bag of blood.
“Isabella,” Uncle Damon said, rushing to me and almost succeeding to grab the blood bag away from me. I apparated a few feet back to prevent that from happening, nobody was taking my blood away from me.
“What do you mean considering?”
This time it wasn’t Uncle Damon who spoke: it was Grandmother.
Perhaps it was my guilty look in my eyes that gave it away or my need to drink more blood but she knew. I knew she did.
“You didn’t?!” she raged and tried to pin me at the wall but I stopped her from fully reaching me by putting my hand in front of her. There was a force field around me and she couldn’t get completely through.
