Sighing, Grace poked Melissa in the side. "You okay sweetie? You look sick."
Melissa shrugged, blinking up at the Lupa. "Just tired. My nose is stuffing up, but that's probably allergies."
"You smell sick, Sweetie." Grace reached over. "And you've got a fever."
Melissa sneezed, covering her mouth at the last second. "Oh."
"Call someone, or I'll take you home. You'll get everyone else sick, sweetie."
"I'll call Misty in a minute." Melissa sniffed, stamping a book.
"Ah... that's right... you live with her now."
"Mmhmm."
Grace smiled. "Call now, Sweetie. She can come right into the library."
Melissa nodded, brushing her hair back from her face, "Should I call from the office?"
“No need… you can use my phone here.” Grace pointed. “Just dial nine, then out.”
"Thanks." Melissa smiled slightly, picking up the phone.
Grace nodded, continuing her work as she glanced at the clock. Hm. Maybe she should eat lunch today...
Melissa glanced at Grace, then blinked, hanging up the phone before she'd even begun to dial. "Um... Grace?"
"Yes, Sweetie?" The librarian Lupa faced the young girl.
"You... ring... Mr. Zeeman?" Melissa blinked again, looking at the ring on Grace's finger.
Grace blushed, looking at her finger. "Hush! We're waiting to announce it to the... family."
"Oh..." Melissa grinned, "Okay."
Grace smiled. "It's mostly your fault, you know."
Melissa's grin turned into a smirk, "Really?"
Grace stuck her tongue out at the other were. "Call."
Melissa picked up the phone, hitting nine. "Calling... But really?"
"Hush!" She rolled her eyes before nodding. "I think so. Happy?”
"Maybe." Melissa fought back a giggle, dialing Misty's number.
"'lo?" Misty sighed as she answered.
"Misty?" Melissa bit her lip.
"Yeah? Mel? Hun, is that you? Aren't you at school? What's wrong? Are you hurt-"
Melissa smiled slightly, "I'm just... sick. Grace says I have a fever, but I feel fine."
"Grace?" Misty frowned.
"She's a friend of mine."
"You... are you saying..." Misty sighed. "Fine. I'll be there in a jiff. Where should I meet you?"
"The library?" Melissa bit her lip again.
"The library? Why aren't you at the nurse’s?"
Grace tapped the young girl on the shoulder. "Want me to talk to her?"
Melissa nodded, not bothering to try to answer Misty's questions and handing the phone to Grace.
"Ma'am? This is Grace Alistair... I'm the librarian... and...well, I suppose you could say queen bitch..." Grace blushed.
"Queen bitch?" Misty repeated, "Oh... You're a-"
"Yes... I help run the meetings Melissa attends each month."
Melissa stifled a giggle in her arm. She had to bring up the whole 'bitch' thing, didn't she?
"Alright. What's wrong with Melissa? She's not usually sick."
"Well... the school has had a virus going around... I think she's starting to come down with it... I mean, I can nearly smell it." Grace reached over and poked the girl. "And that's not funny."
Melissa giggled again, before sneezing violently.
"I'll be there shortly." Movement was heard on the other line, "May I speak with Melissa?"
Grace nodded. "Of course. It was nice speaking to you."
"You too."
Melissa took the phone that Grace offered her, "Hi."
"Mel, I'll be there in a couple of minutes. You need to get around to all of your classes and get the work you'll miss, okay?" Misty grabbed her purse and keys.
Melissa bit her lip, and nodded, "Kay."
"Good. Love you, Mel."
"Love you too." Melissa sighed, hanging up the phone.
Grace quirked a red brow at the girl. "You'd best head around."
Melissa groaned, and stood, "If I have to...."
"You have too. I don't like people failing in our family."
"But I'm not-"
"I mean our family, puppy." Grace's tone was soft, but determined.
Melissa blinked, then nodded, "Oh... I'll be right back... " The teen smiled slightly, then moved around the desk. Yay. Homework.
Grace watched the girl go before picking up the phone and dialing the number for her lover's room. He was on his prep right now so...
"Hello, Love." Richard's voice was smiling as he picked up the phone.
"Richard..." She smiled back. "Playing with the new caller I.D. are you?"
"Maybe." Richard grinned, leaning back in his seat, "What do I owe the call to? Not that I mind or anything..."
"Well... I was wondering if you'd like to have lunch with me..."
"Lunch? Mm... sounds good."
Grace smiled. "I was thinking... back rooms? There's a nice private table in the library filing room..."
He laughed softly, "What kind of lunch date is this, Love? Are you trying to seduce me?"
She blushed. "Well-"
"You could at least buy me dinner first." He teased gently.
"I offered..."
"That was lunch."
"Tonight, then." She laughed into the phone, her beast caressing his.
It rose to the invitation, Richard's voice becoming slightly gravelly, "I look forward to it."
"Mm. McDonalds."
He cleared his throat, "Aw... had me all excited..."
She laughed again. "Over what? You don't like the fries?"
"Mm... grease stick." Suppressed laughter was clear in his voice.
"Ah. Maybe I should make you some chicken and dumplings..."
"Love? I love you."
Grace blinked. "Well... I knew that... but-"
His lips quirked, "So, seduction after dinner?"
"Wait... Rich, you've confused me..."
"I'm sorry."
"Mmhm." She smiled, shaking her head. "You're sorry you're not here to tease me about it."
He laughed, "Maybe."
"Uh huh... and you're laughing now... meany." The librarian pushed her hair back. "Does this mean you won't have lunch with me?"
"Depends. What's for lunch?"
"Well... you... me... I figured-"
"Oh... You're for lunch? I'll be there."
Grace blushed. "I meant we could choose when you get here..."
"Well... that works too, I suppose."
"Bad Rich..."
"But that's how you like me..."
"Mm.... I like you anyway possible..." Grace bit her lip, doodling on a random sheet of paper.
"Hmm... that has possibilities..."
"Mmm..." She sighed before blinking. "Did you ever call your mother back?"
There was a distinct, uncomfortable silence from Richard's end of the line.
"Richard!" Grace fought not to growl. "You promised! What must she think of me... that... that I didn't give you her message-"
"I didn't not call her, I just... forgot!"
"The difference being?"
"I'll call, alright? As soon as we're done on the phone." He sighed.
"Uh huh... and you'd darn well better make sure she knows I told you."
"Alright."
Grace sighed. "Rich?"
"Yeah?"
"I'm sorry I got so darn upset... I don't know why..."
"It's fine, Love. You're right. I should have called."
"No... I mean... you're a grown man-"
"Love, it's okay. Seriously."
"I sound like my mother." Grace pouted.
"You're cuter than your mother."
"Don't let my pa hear you say that."
"I won't, but it's true."
Grace smiled slightly. "Alright. So what did we have planned?”
"For what? Lunch, dinner, or the wedding?"
"Oh. All of the above?"
"I think we were going to plan lunch when I get to the library, dinner is going to be at home, right? The wedding..." He shrugged, "Next Month right? Then a large ceremony later."
"Oh. Yeah. Did you want chicken and dumplings, cause then I have to make a run to the store...."
"We need to run to the store anyway. We're out of toothpaste."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Grace bit her lip. "Well... I'm going to let you call your-"
"Excuse me, I'm looking for Melissa Randall?"
Grace jumped, eyes flashing. "Oh... I..." Grace swallowed. "She's getting her homework."
Melissa stepped into the library behind Misty, moving over to her bag, "I'm back now."
Richard's frown was evident, "Love? What's going on?"
"Nothing bad, Rich. Melissa's got that virus so she's heading home. Her sister's here." Grace smiled as Misty hugged the girl, kissing her forehead to check her temperature. "Love you."
"Love you too. See you at lunch, Love."
Melissa glanced at Grace, smiling slightly up at her sister, "I'm fine...just sick." She slid her homework into her bag, slinging it over her shoulder.
Misty nodded. "Alright. I called my doctor... he can see you tomorrow."
"Bye." Grace hung up the phone before offering Misty her hand, who took it gladly.
Melissa blinked, "Oh. Yeah. Misty, this is Grace. Grace, this is Misty, my sister."
"It's nice to meet you." The women said at the same time.
Melissa's lips quirked, and she stifled another giggle.
Grace glanced at the girl before laughing as well. "I'll see you later, Melissa."
Misty smiled. "Alright. We need to get back. Woody'll be up any time now."
"Bye Grace." Melissa waved at the older woman before following Misty out.
Grace watched the girls leave, pausing to talk with "Mr. Zeeman!" before departing
Richard slipped into the library, shutting the door behind him. "Melissa smells sick."
"That's what I said." Grace smiled at her lover.
He smiled back, moving over to her, "Just confirming it."
"Mm." She hugged him around the waist as she was still sitting.
He rubbed her back, pushing a stray hair from his face. "Mm?"
"Nothing." She looked up at him. "Missed you."
"Missed you too."
"What'd Mom say?"
"Got the answering machine. So, 'We're not here right now, leave a message, and we'll try to get back to you'. Or something like that." Richard smiled slightly.
She sighed. "Darn it... but you'll tell her I told you, right? I mean, it's not like you didn't know..."
"I left a message saying that I needed to talk to her, and that you told me." He leaned down, kissing the top of her head. "Okay?"
Grace smiled. "Okay." She glanced around the library. "So..."
"So...?"
"Are you ready for lunch?"
"Depends."
She frowned. "On?"
"What's for lunch." He smiled slightly.
She poked a spot near his navel. "The chicken sandwiches I made yesterday for lunch today."
His stomach tightened, and he reached around to catch her finger, "That sounds good."
"Good. It's in the fridge in the file room."
"Oh... we get to go in the file room? For 'Staff Only'? Now I feel special." Richard smiled, letting her go and stepping back.
She blushed at his suggestive tone. "Richard."
"Sorry. Kiddies are having a bad effect on me."
"Or you are on them." Grace stood, blowing a lock of her red hair back.
His lips quirked, "Could be that."
She rolled her eyes and grabbed her keys, putting up the out to lunch sign on the library door.
He waited by the filing room door, leaning against the wall and watching her move towards him. "Have you called your parents yet?"
She nearly dropped the keys. "Er... not yet. I was planning to do that when we got home."
"Ah." He nodded, "Are you alright, Love?"
"Fine." She smiled at him before unlocking the door. "Pa'll just... be Pa... and Ma will demand to be up here for both... or make us have them in Tennessee... Or-"
Richard smiled, "I think I get the gist of it."
Grace bit her lip. "Sorry. I'll... be crazy by the time that call's over..." She stepped into the room, flipping on the light.
He followed her in, resting a hand on her hip, "You'll be fine. If they need to talk to me, just hand me the phone, alright? I'll talk to them if you don't want to."
She shut the door, nodding. "Alright."
He looked around the room, only slightly interested in the filing cabinets. "Love?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you."
"I love you too." She smiled at him, moving to hug the Ulfric.
He wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her back. "Did Melissa notice the ring?"
"Oh yeah." She laughed softly. "She said, and I quote....'You... ring... Mr. Zeeman?' unquote."
He laughed, "Very eloquent of her."
"Mm. You had to be there." Grace kissed the corner of his mouth.
"I'll believe you." He brushed his lips over hers.
"Mm." She smiled, running a hand down his back.
He shivered, nipping gently at her lower lip, "Lunch time, then?"
"What're you having?"
"I'd like to try a sample of you." He trailed his lips down her jaw.
She shivered. "A sample of... me?"
"Mmhmm..." He nipped gently.
She whimpered, pressing up against him. "Richard..."
"Yes?" He soothed the nip with small kisses, holding her against him.
"Mm..." Was his response.
He smiled against her skin, trailing his mouth down to her neck.
She slid her hands into the back pockets of his jeans, nipping his jaw.
His bum tightened under her hands and he shivered, sucking a bit of flesh into his mouth.
Grace heard the footsteps approaching the door in the back of her mind, and was at the door and locking it before she realized she'd moved.
Richard heard Laura try to muffle a curse and bit his lip, stifling a chuckle.
Grace sighed, opening the door to peer out. "Laura... honey... I mean this in the nicest way... file it later."
Laura quirked a brow, "Why? Do you have Rich in there- Oh. Hello Rich."
"Hello Laura." Richard stepped up behind Grace, resting an arm around her waist.
"Laura... Please. You love me. I'm your friend... Please file it later? And don't let anyone else come up?" Grace sighed again, pushing her hair back.
Laura blinked, "One condition, and nobody finds out. Especially Karen."
"Yeah?"
"Nice ring, Rich. Did you go to the store I suggested?" Laura grinned at the Ulfric.
"Yes, Mom... I went to the store."
"Excellent. So you're engaged?"
"Nope. Just wearing it because it's shiny." Grace rolled her eyes. "Out, Laura."
Laura sighed, moving away from the door. The last thing Richard heard was a joking, half spoken cry of "Karen!"
Grace shut the door, locking it. Stupid Nimir Ra. "That woman is... evil."
"Micah corrupted her. Or maybe the Pard in general." His lips quirked, "She used to be nice. And seemingly innocent."
Grace looked up at her lover. "Where were we?"
Richard pulled her to him, "Mm... no idea."
"Mm... I think my hands were in your pocket... these pockets?" She slid her hands into the front pockets of his jeans.
He swallowed, shaking his head. "I think it was these..." His fingers tucked into the small back pockets of her pants.
She bit her lip, the muscles tightening. "Oh..."
He brushed his lips over the slight pink mark on her jaw, "Any bells ringing?"
"Mmm... yes." She moved her hands, sliding them over his chest.
His chest tightened, and he shivered, "Good..."
She nipped his lower lip. "Richard..."
"Mm?"
"Want you..."
"File room?" He kissed the corner of her mouth. "We could get caught..."
Grace swallowed. "Oh. Yeah. Sorry." She looked down.
He brushed his lips over the spot behind her ear, "I'm more then willing if you are. We'd have to be quick, and Laura would know, but-"
She struggled not to shiver. "But? It's... a public place..."
"Door's locked..."
"Be quick..." She met his gaze again. “Can we be quick?”
He pressed into her, "Probably."
"Probably?"
He nipped at her ear, "If I say yes can we try?"
She whimpered. "Try... I..." She gripped his shirt.
His fingers moved to her fly, and he nipped gently again, "Is that a yes?"
She kissed his jaw. "Mm. Hurry...?"
He opened her fly quickly, pushing her pants and panties down slightly.
She tugged at his shirt, chewing her lip as she tried to undo his fly as well. "How're... we going to-?"
"We don't have time... for complete nudity..." He helped her free his pants, then slid his hands into hers.
"I know..." She kissed the corner of his mouth, taking him into her hand.
He bit his lip, muffling a moan. "Mm... good..."
"Mmm.... very good..." She nipped at him, stroking gently.
He pressed his face into her neck, fingers slipping past her folds.
Grace cried out as he brushed her. "Richard... mm...." Her hand tightened.
He groaned into her neck, "Sh... Gracie, we'll be caught..." He pressed into her hand, fighting back a moan.
"S...sorry..." She shifted her hips, her pants easing further down her hips.
He brushed his fingers over her clitoris, rubbing gently.
She bit her lip, hard. No noise. None. But...
He moved his fingers back, leaving his thumb to caress her sensitive nub.
She stroked him, her thumb teasing his tip as she kissed and nipped his jaw.
A moan welled in his throat and he fought it back, "Gracie... I need..."
"Mmmm?" She swallowed.
He pressed into her hand, fingers pushing deep into her, "I need... you..."
She bit at his shoulder, a muffled whimper leaving her as she managed a nod. She was ready, just this quick.
He pulled his fingers from her, tugging her pants and panties all the way down, "Love you..."
Grace kicked her shoes off, stepping out of her clothing. "Love you too..."
Richard picked her up, forcing her to wrap her legs around him as he pressed her back into the door.
She grabbed at his shoulders, her breath hitching. "Richard... mm..."
He pressed against her entrance, swallowing.
She shifted her hips, kissing his jaw.
He pushed into her, pressing his face into her neck against to muffle his groan.
Grace managed to not whimper, no matter how hard it pressed. "Please..." She whispered, rocking against him.
He bit his lip hard, thrusting into her with a long, sure stroke.
She grabbed at him, her nails digging into his shirt. Darn... Holy cow...
He thrust again, trying not to moan. God, she felt so good...
She nipped his mouth, moving with him.
"Gracie..." His voice was low, and he thrust harder into her.
"Mm. Clo...close...." She swallowed. Lordy... when he said her name like that... Her hips jerked. "I... quiet... I... can't... oh..." She bit her lip hard, closing her eyes.
He muffled a moan, continuing to move inside her with hard strokes. He was approaching his release, and he was sure her climax would bring his.
She brought her hand to her mouth, trying to muffle any noise she might make as she exploded around him.
His eyes shut tightly, and he proved himself correct as he came hard with her.
Grace whimpered as she came down, sighing. "Mm..."
He kissed her neck, holding her against the door for a moment before pulling out of her and setting her down.
She nearly fell, grabbing at him. "Oh... legs..."
He wrapped his arms around her, "Don't fall..."
"Trying... not to." She panted. "Whoa."
"Mmhmm..." He brushed a kiss over her lips, "Was that quick enough?"
She leaned against him. "I... yes." Grace swallowed. "Can we do slower at home?"
"Definitely... before or after the calls?"
"After." She smiled, raising her head. "I want this to take a while... and I've got an idea..."
"Do you now?" He smiled slightly back, quirking a brow.
"Uh huh..." She licked her lips, swollen from her biting. "I need to clean up a bit..."
"Yeah..." He looked down at himself and slowly began to do up his fly. "Two more classes left till the day is over."
Grace smiled, grabbing some tissues and wiping at the moisture dripping down her leg.
Richard watched her for a moment before looking away. He'd be sitting behind his desk for the rest of the day if he watched.
She tossed the tissues into the trash, covering them with some scrap paper. "Richard? Are you okay?"
He blinked, looking back at her, "Better than okay." He smiled.
"Oh." She smiled back. "Mmkay. I should... get dressed." She bent, slipping into her clothing.
Richard swallowed, waiting for her to finish buttoning her pants before unlocking the door.
Grace smiled, fixing her hair. "Richard?"
"Yeah?" He looked over at her, raising a brow.
"Don't I get a kiss?"
He smiled, moving over to her, "Of course."
Grace brushed her lips over his just as the door opened.
Laura stepped inside, inhaled, and rolled her eyes. "Alright bunnies, out. I have to file."
Richard blinked, looking over his shoulder at the Nimir Ra, "You're..."
Grace blushed deeply. "Laura, Hun?"
"Yes, darling?" Laura's lips twitched. Oh... The Pard was a bad influence on her.
"Shut up."
Laura mimed zipping her lips, before moving over to one of the filing cabinets and pulling open a drawer.
Richard shook his head, looking back at Grace.
She blushed. "Stop smirking, you."
Richard struggled not to smile, "I'm not smirking..."
Laura snorted, pulling out a folder from the drawer.
Grace glared at both of them before moving out of the room.
Richard sighed, following her out and leaving Laura to file in silence.
