Part Two: The Trickery
It was a few days later when Aladdin was at the Palace visiting his beloved Prince. Whenever he was there, he took the lamp with him. He had shared its secret with Sho. However, he did not share the secret with anyone else. It was also at this time that the Wicked magician Johan had worked out that Aladdin had survived and was now living quite well. He knew he had to get the lamp back ad he planned his evil deed. The next day, in disguise, he spoke to the Emperor and said that Aladdin and Sho would need their own place, and the Emperor was to demand that Aladdin have it made within a day. The Emperor was much taken aback, but agreed to test Aladdin’s devotion. That evening he summoned Aladdin. “I am to test your loyalty, young Aladdin. I wish for you to build me an estate within view of my own, that I may look upon a building made of gold, with silver a the edges. The windows of the most perfect cut diamonds and rubies, that sapphires and emeralds are coloms within the courtroom and everything be ready to move in by the dawn of the day after tomorrow.” “Your Majesty,” Aladdin bowed. “You ask me such difficult tasks, but for you and for Sho I shall have it done.” Aladdin went off. He took the lamp from its hiding place and rubbed it. At once, the Genie appeared. “The Emperor wishes to test me, and I need your help to make it so,” Aladdin explained, describing the castle. “I shall do that for you,” the Genie said. “At dawn the day after tomorrow, the Emperor shall look out his window and see what it is he desires.” The Genie then disappeared. That night, just according to Aladdin’s wish, the Genie went to the land reserved for the estate and opened her parasol. Gold smoke flowed over the land and there stod the golden castle, with all refinements, servants and food stocks. Nothing was I want. The next morning the Emperor awake to the golden light of something shining through his window, and upon looking out, saw the castle. He ran over and inspected it and everything was as he had wished. Johan was also very happy, and disguised himself as a servant within the castle. After some days, he turned to Aladdin and said, “Your palace is grand, but it is requiring a Roc Egg to make it complete. I know not where to find one, but you surely could find one.” With that said, he slipped away. Aladdin, thoughtful yet curious, rubbed the lamp and the genie appeared. “I wish for a roc’s Egg to be placed within my Palace,” Aladdin said. “How dare you?” The genie said, her golden clothing turning bright red. “You ask me to take an egg of my parents?” The genie seethed for a moment, but then controlled herself. “No, this is not your thoughts. You were tricked in hopes I would hurt you. Where is that servant who suggested this?” Aladdin searched high and low but Johan, seeing his trick failed, had slithered away. Some days later, Aladdin was invited to go hunting with the Emperor, but Sho was ill and could not go. In the courtyard, there was an old man pushing a trolley, calling out. 'New lamps for old. New lamps for old.' Sho had heard the cry of the seller but not specifically what he said, and asked one of his servants to help the old man and send him away. The servant, seeing Aladdin's lamp took it to the old man and exchanged it for a new one. Now the old man was really Johan who had awaited this opportunity. With the lamp in his possession, he rubbed it, and at once the Genie appeared. She looked at him, very surprised it wasn't Aladdin or his Mother who had called her. 'How may I help you?' she asked. 'I wish for you to take me and Aladdin’s castle to the distant reaches of Africa.' Johan said. The Genie sighed at what she now had to do. She opened her parasol and gold smoke covered Johan and the castle. When the smoke cleared, both were gone. Aladdin returned later that day to find that his Prince and the castle were gone, and nothing but a bridge was left. The Emperor demanded an explanation and when Aladdin could give none, the guards were set upon him. Aladdin was arrested and placed in the dungeon. Aladdin fell to his knees, crying bitterly. The lamp was no longer in his possession and he had no way of getting it or Sho back. He sat on the ground, rubbing his hands on distress, and as he did so, he rubbed the ring. At once, the Genie of the ring appeared. 'I wish my Palace and all those who dwelt within to be brought back to me.' cried Aladdin. The Genie shook her head. 'I cannot undo the powers of the Genie of the lamp, for she far outranks me in the amount of magic she can perform.' The Genie exclaimed. 'Then I wish to be taken to the Palace, wherever it is in this world.' Aladdin said. The Genie bowed. She walked over to him and put an arm around him. Opening her fan, she waved it and petals fell across them. At once, Aladdin was aware of moving. Then when the feeling stopped, he was no longer in China, but somewhere in Africa. There stood his Palace. He sneaked into the castle, and looked around. In the audience Chamber, Johan was sitting with Sho and the servants kneeling before him. Aladdin sneaked off to somewhere he couldn't be overheard. Rubbing the ring, the Genie appeared again. 'I wish for the lamp to return to my possession.' he said. 'The lamp cannot be bent to the powers of another Genie.' she said. 'Then I wish for Johan to fall into a deep sleep,' Aladdin said. The Genie bowed and waved her fan. However, nothing happened. The Genie disappeared and Aladdin went to look in on Johan and see what was happening. Sure enough, Johan had fallen asleep on the spot, and was snoring quietly. Sho was just wondering what had happenined when Aladdin entered the room, and everyone was pleased to see him. Aladdin took the lamp from within Johan's cloak and rubbed it vigorously. At once, the Genie of the lamp appeared. She was very happy to see Aladdin again. 'I wish for this Palace and all who dwell in it to be returned to China.' Aladdin said. The Genie bowed, but then looked over at Johan. 'And the Magician?' the Genie asked. 'Leave him here.' Aladdin said. The Genie opened her parasol and gold smoke carried the estate back to its original place. Aladdin was very relieved no one was hurt, and the Emperor, discovering all was well, pardoned Aladdin. Meanwhile, Johan woke from his enchanted sleep to find himself all alone, without the lamp in a faraway part of the world. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
