Shortly afterward, Freyanna moved her hand from Talon’s uninjured hand to his forehead. There she concentrated on sending healing into his body and spirit. The flesh immediately started mending itself, growing back where the flesh was totally gone. A good half to three quarters of an hour later she opened her eyes and Cougar asked, “Will he make it?”
The fear in his eyes for Talon, made Freyanna smile tiredly as she said, “Absolutely!” They are both tired, but should recover…Um, Cougar, they were in an Alchemist trap, and it was really just a very complex spell. They will need to clear their systems of any residual Alchemist magic…Um you and I were there too. We should have been protected from the spell, but I’d rather be safe than sorry. I know how my people clear out Alchemist magic, but how do Lunarians.” Cougar actually felt the blush creeping up to his face. He looked away before, rasping out “we have to experience an orgasm.” Freyanna’s nod heralded her confirmation, “that’s what I thought. Fae use the same method…Perhaps when your friends wake would be a good time. I should close the circle, and then you can call anyone you need to. But first I’d like to try a little charm to restore the Lunarian race.” Freyanna faced the flame and chanted, “We thank you spirits for your gracious aid and make one plea more. The Lunarian race is failing. The Breed Warriors have decreased from twenty-five to eight of the nine animal spirits remaining. More Warriors are needed. Divine Spirits you originated the Lunarian race, you nurtured and sustained them, but now through their own oversight and others malevolent plots they are endangered. Spirits, if you will, please absolve the Lunarians of their mistakes and restore them. I offer you my power, use me as you will. The Lunarians were friend to my people, I ask you to save them. For your glory, for your service and the benefit of all mankind, we offer up this plea. So as we will, so mote it is.” The central flame flared high and a voice, like rushing wind and thunder sounded from within, “Your plea has been heard daughter. The Lunarians will have one last chance. Their breeding problems will immediately be remedied and their offspring will be full-blooded Lunarian no matter the mix of parentage. You, daughter will bear the brunt of the task. From you will be born a new race of Breed Warriors. New Warriors, new Shifter breeds for Warriors, will issue from each mating. Your confinement will be a third of the regular term, your pains fewer, and your lust exponentially greater. You will endure mating heat frequently and bear fruitfully. The existing Breeds will be joined by four more of their own species. Those that are mated will bear four young of their species. And in this manner your request will be granted. Just in case you forget all the details, have no fear, I will appoint an emissary to help you along. Far well daughter. You really have done well.” Freyanna fainted for the first time in her life. Cougar stared dumbly into the flame. I know I heard wrong. Exponential lust! Multiple Children! With that he fainted as well.Chapter 4
Pamela Palmer is the author of the Feral Warrior Novels upon which this story is based. I in no way own these characters but did borrow them for your entertainment only. Freyanna is my creation. Waking slowly as dawn approached the eastern horizon and not remembering the blessing (curse) the flame voice had given; Freyanna stood and approached each candle. In reverse order from her invocation, she thanked the spirits, and then magically whisked away the remnants of the invocation. With the clearing set to rights and all evidence of the nights enchantment cleansed, Freyanna turned to Cougar, who was sitting up next to a waking Talon and Tig. Tig’s cell phone rang. Tig answered, “Bronx?” Everyone in the clearing could clearly hear Bronx’s exuberant “Thank God! Tig, I’ve been so worried and missed you so much. Don’t you ever scare me like this again? I knew the second you were safe. You are safe? Are you okay? I’m almost there. I ran out the door and jumped in the Lexus RX the second I felt you. I didn’t even take time to say a word to the others. They’re back there somewhere; Lion called me moments after I took off. I think they’re using Talon’s GPS tracking thingy to follow me. Are you okay? Talk to me.” Tig laughed, “I will gladly talk to you beautiful, but I thought it would be terribly rude to interrupt you. I am well and missing you too, my love. Where are you now?” Bronx must have paused to consult her surroundings before she continued, “I followed our connection to the national park and am now about a third of a mile from the crest. The map I grabbed at the visitor’s center shows a clearing. Am I right that you’re there?” Cougar nodded as Tig glanced his way and then said, “Yes, we’re in the clearing…” Bronx continued, “I’ve been calling your cell phone every five minutes since I felt you had returned to us. Why haven’t you answered?” Tig shrugged and Cougar mimed and mouthed Magic. Tig immediately responded to Bronx, “some kind of magical barrier was preventing transmission. I answered the first call that made it in.” Bronx interrupted again, “I’m nearly there, a few more yards...” Then she was and found herself caught in a fierce tiger hug. Cougar smiled and told Freyanna and Talon, “I believe we should give them a bit of privacy. I’ll touch base with Lion.” He then moved off to call his leader.Freyanna knelt beside Talon and immediately began checking him for any other injuries. At her touch, Talon took her hand and spoke in a near whisper, “Are you a goddess? I was sure I was dead.” His other hand brushed curls from Freyanna’s face as he gazed at her. Truly this must be a goddess, he thought.
Freyanna smiled and answered softly, “I am not a goddess. My name is Freyanna. You were grievously injured, but not dead. The spirit of the Eagle within you was very weak, but remains intact. You must rest. Even though your most serious injuries are mostly healed, both you and your animal require rest.” She tried to push back him back down horizontal with no luck. She noted it was like trying to push a bolder; a very large, very-masculine shaped, very warm and clean male-scented bolder. Freyanna felt flushed and a bit dizzy as she thought, Great Divinities Above, what am I thinking! Obviously, I am not thinking. Here I sit feeling him up, getting all hot and excited, when he’s virtually just been through a near death trauma. I am one very, very sick Fae. Talon smiled a boyishly handsome and thoroughly sexy crooked grin at Freyanna while using his thumb to caress the inside of the wrist he held captive when he asked, “So you healed me? Do I also get to thank you for my rescue? I assume I have you and Cougar and maybe even Tig to thank for that. That was by far worse than my most horrific nightmare…I guess I have a new worst nightmare.” Freyanna used the other hand, not the one burning from his sensual touch, to push Talon’s hair back out his face. She replied slowly, “I could take your memory of the experience from you or maybe block the emotions it evokes if you like. Cougar and I rescued you and Tig, and then I healed your injuries. As your healer, I insist you lay back and rest.” Freyanna could not help but think, Goddess of Love I have to get away from this overly male, male before I rip off all his clothes and do far more than heal his wounds. She bit her lip as she tried to pull away, but Talon wouldn’t relinquish possession of her hand. Cougar came up to them then. Talon finally released her hand as he took Cougar’s arm in their warrior greeting. Freyanna took the opportunity to move a little further away. Gazing up at Cougar she felt her body heat even more. She had not realized how ruggedly handsome Cougar was or how virile he smelled. Goddess what is wrong with me, she thought as she caught herself before she could start fanning her face or embarrass herself with some display of carnality like jumping on one of the Breeds and sucking his tongue out of his head while rubbing herself against his sex. Talon greeted, “Thank you my friend. This lovely creature tells me Tig and I have the two of you to thank for our rescue. I don’t have to tell you, I really expected to die there.” Cougar briefly tightened his clasp on Talon’s areas the voice in his head snarled; he thinks Freyanna is lovely too. Out loud though he responded, “Freyanna did the hard part. I just came along for moral support, to make sure we picked up the right passengers, and for unneeded muscle.” Cougar warmed up as he spoke, “You should have seen that demon bounce off of Freyanna’s shield and the scream it let out was like nails on a chalkboard times about ten or twenty. Then, she blasted the Sorceress right out of her own trap. Goddess, it was a thing of beauty, much like our enchanting Freyanna.” Tig and Bronx had joined them in time to hear Cougar’s response. Freyanna found herself caught up in a big hug from Bronx as she cried, “Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!” Freyanna had honestly never seen anyone so happy and relieved that they both laughed and cried simultaneously. Cougar said, “Lion’s on his way, with the Oracle, Fang, Hijinks, and Celestia. Everyone, this is Freyanna, Princess of the noble Tuatha déDanann. Freyanna; this is Bronx, Tig’s mate, and my fellow Breed Warriors, Tig and Talon. I hate to bring this up but Tig, Talon, Freyanna, and I need to get clear of any residual Alchemist magic before the Oracle arrives. I assume Bronx won’t have any trouble taking care of Tig.” Tig and Bronx smiled at one another then took off into the woods. The others laughed. “Eager Beaver, I see, instead of Timid Tiger, “Freyanna tittered. “Never timid that tiger,” laughed Cougar. “That just leaves the three of us,” Cougar needlessly intoned. Freyanna now bit her lip harder, both males knew she had a choice and both seemed willing. Freyanna knew she could take care of it herself, but was unsure if that would really work. No, in this she must be logical. She murmured, “I suppose I could clear both of you. I don’t know how that would work; I’ve never done this before.” Cougar and Talon glanced at each other. Neither of them had shared a female either. They nodded simultaneously. Cougar suggested, “Perhaps we should seek a bit more privacy.” They headed south into the woods. Freyanna mentally noted, South is Fire is Passion, how fitting. In a clearing caused by the a large pine falling and taking out several smaller trees, Freyanna summoned a bed; a large bed, ten feet by ten feet with cream satin sheets and pillows. “Oh, heavens! Where was this last night,” joked Cougar. Talon was shocked by his friend’s jocularity. It was truly rare for him to crack a smile, much less joke. Truth be told, he had seen more emotion in Cougar this day than at any time before. Oblivious to Talon’s stunned silence, Freyanna impishly twirled around with her arms stretched toward the lightening sky and smiling said, “A wish away. Paradise was but a wish away.”While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
