"What will you do now?"
The lion turned to look at the white tiger.
"What has to be done," the lion replied.
"You do realize that if you and Tash fight, he might not be alone. Azaroth and Zardeenah have been silent during this cold war between yourself and Tash. I have no doubt that you can handle Tash alone, but if Azaroth and Zardeenah join in, you won't survive One on three, even you can't survive those numbers."
"We shall see," Aslan said and faded away.
"Either he is confident or he's a fool," the white tiger said to himself and confident his watch over the island where the emperor ruled.

He couldn't sleep. He didn't know why he couldn't sleep, but he couldn't. The High King of Narnia laid on his side, looking at the wall of the tent he was in. The warmth that was spooning him should have put him to sleep, but it didn't.
'I know what this is,' he thought. 'I get like this just before a major battle takes place.' He quietly sighed to himself. He turned his head slightly to see the tall figure that was sleeping beside him.
'Who knew that this would be my lot now,' he thought. 'Taking care of Jadis who has now become a servant,' he mused, seeing the less than regal looking clothes she was now adorning. 'She's been acting as if she's my personal servant.' That thought struck Peter as almost too unbelievable, but as Aslan put it, she was atoning for sins by submitting to the leader of the ones that fought against her.
The problem that was cropping up was the way she would try to lull him to sleep by rubbing his back with those cool fingers of hers. It seemed, through this process of redemption, her cold look about her was fading.
What made the whole thing even more frustrating was the fact that his own traitorous body was reacting positively to the contact. He hated himself for that, but yet, a part of him, a part of him that he didn't want to acknowledge wanted to conquer the one that had brought Narnia to its knees. He sighed, got up, dressed and left.
No more than five minutes passed before Edmund came, stealthily, into the tent. He drew his sword and press it against Jadis's throat. Her eyes opened to see the inflamed ones of King Edmund.
"You might be ageless, you might be brought be back Tash, but I ought to take your head for what you put me and the rest of Narnia though, especially me you evil, fowl, bitch," he growled.
"And you would have the right to do so. I put you through hell, but you also must admit that half of what you went through was your own fault."
He looked away. She was right. He had come into a strange land and had talked to a stranger when he should have ran away. He then had lied that he had visited Narnia with Lucy. So, yes, he was half to blame, but killing her should be easy, right? Edmund sighed, put his sword back and stormed off out of the Tent. His path crossed that of his brother's and the two looked at each other.
"I hope I won't find a horrific sight in there," Peter began.
"You won't. But, if she even thinks of..."
"Aslan has assured me of that, and that should be good enough for you," Peter remarked and Edmund sighed. If Aslan was on Peter's side, then he himself better get on theirs quickly.

The sun bathed Aslan in a golden light. He was waiting at the spot where he would bring the two Queens back to their dominion. His head sharply turned and looked at the figure of Tash standing there.
"Do you think that bringing back the four that defeated Jadis, Jadis, and yourself can defeat the Calormens and myself? Are you that arrogant?" Tash asked.
"Are you so confident that you'll just be able to wipe us all off of the Narnian map just like one wipes off one's sword?" Aslan retorted.
"Your High King cannot defeat Tisroc."
"Rishda isn't the best warrior at your disposal."
"Ah, but with my scimitar, he is."
Aslan gazed at his opposite. "So, you've given him your blessing then?"
"I have, and since High King Peter doesn't have a magical weapon, he cannot win."
"Magic isn't always necessary to win a battle, Tash."
"Maybe, but it doesn't hurt to have it at one's disposal," he returned and vanished.
The lion turned his head and their before him appeared Lucy and the formally wayward Susan. Tears came to the older girl's eyes and the great lion came over and nestle his muzzle against her.
"You were not meant for him. Remember this lesson, love, while it can bring the greatest joy, can bring the greatest pain."
"I will," Susan said, her tears drying.
"Lucy, well done, now, we must leave this place and join your brothers, for they are now in battle as we speak," Aslan said.
"Oh but Aslan, we don't have any..." Lucy began and at their feet appeared a pair of bows and a quiver full of arrows.
"You were saying?" Aslan asked with a grin and the two blushed before taking their weapons. "Now, on my back and we shall head on to the battle."

"Do you think you can beat one who has been blessed by Tash!?" Rishda asked with an evil glint in his eyes. "Your sword is just that, a sword."
"Don't declare your victory until the battle is over!" Peter proclaimed and continued his fight with Rishda. A roar halts all the fighting that was taking place for only a moment. Then, several arrows take out several Calormens archers. Peter smiled to himself. Only Lucy and Susan should have been able to hit from such a distance.
"Care to claim victory now?" Peter growled.
"Die!" Rishda roared, but his blade's advantage didn't seem to be giving him the advantage he had once had.
"I guess your blade loses its power when Aslan is near," Peter said and continued to press his advantage.
"Retreat!" Rishda ordered and the Calormens fell back. Peter turned and smiled at the two girls. Edmund joined and there was a four way sibling hug. Aslan smiled at the four. They would win, no matter what they had to do.
