A/N on mass; This is the darkest of any story I have ever written or published anywhere. I have written a lot in my time, and this has to be the most powerful of them all. I give major warning now that this story is not anything like any of my other queerytales, and may not suit all readers. It contains what I can only describe as humanoid sex and demonic/occult scenes. If these things do not appeal to you, please do not read past the authors notes, but please finish reading the notes before you close this chapter if that is the case.
I would also like to point out that I will soon be bringing this book of Queerytales to a close. I aim to reach 40 chapters, sign off and finish this book. But do not feel sad, as I will be creating another series just for your amusement, and hope it will be as successful as this one has been. It should also be noted that I am seeking a title extension rather than just calling it ‘Queerytales 2’, so all suggestions welcome. Keep an eye out and I will keep you posted. This story, in all its darkness, was inspired by a piece of music I have listened to a lot of my life, and it is the classical music piece called ‘A Night on Bald Mountain.’ Using some ideas inspired from Disney’s Fantasia and some of my own, I have managed to pull together what will probably be my darkest writing of all time, or at least to date. I hope you enjoy this story, as it is darker than I can imagine. Lastly, I want it made perfectly clear that I have no belief in devil worship, Satanism and the like, and that this is purely a story, not to be taken to heart. As a white witch, I can only say that it is a creation of my twisted mind and not a sexual manifestation of my own desires. Please don’t think too badly of me when you finish reading. Enough talk, let’s tell a tale. A Queerytale. The Accursed Men
Chapter One: Ostracized It was long ago, when the Church ruled the world, that the events of the Accursed Men came to pass, and to this day, no one really knows what it is that happened to these men. Some say they had it coming, some say they made a mistake and some say it was the result of pure vengeance. Whatever the means, let it be a lesson to all. I do not know what happened, but from what I have been told, this is the best account of the three men. They were young men, in their early twenties, each man married to a beautiful woman and living in their own home and on their own land. Roland, Jerome and Hal were men of simple pleasures, but when they were together, they came up with all sorts of tricks to play on the town. While everyone knew it was them, it was never enough to an offense to appear before a judge. They let lose all of the McGregor horses, released lice into the Hailey farm and put itching powder in the Mayors robes. However, they soon came up with a trick that got them into a lot of trouble, as they spiked the wine for Holy Communion. Every person who drank from the Holy Goblet became rather ill for a day and could only be found on their lavatories trying to relieve themselves. Needless to say, the Priest was furious, and he would not accept any amount of their lamenting. He cast them all out and bade them never to return, and that they should pray to God from their homes. This outraged the men so, and they gathered one night to work out a perfect revenge. It was agreed by the men that they should use some dark magic to scare the townsfolk and they would not lift it until the Priest let them back into the church, but how to go about such a thing was unknown. At last, one of them remembered the dark fairy, Caraboose, who lived in the deepest part of the mountains that could be seen at a distance. No one dared disturb her lest they bring her satisfactory tribute, but the men were sure they could gather enough. Taking as much gold, jewels, sweetmeats and dark dresses they could, the three men set off to see Caraboose, telling their wives that they were simply going away for a few days to lament to God in the mountains. Upon their travels, they talked of nothing else but of how well this was going to work, and as they talked and walked, they drew together the final parts of their plans. Days later, they came to the darkest gulley of the mountains and there was the dark and damp house of Caraboose. Bravely, Roland went to the door and knocked. It was answered by a middle-aged looking woman wearing a black evening gown, a black crown and she had a pair of dark wings upon her back. Offering her the many gifts, Caraboose accepted their deal and handed them a jar of black powder. She warned them (as she seldom does) to ensure the circle was properly cast, or else they would lose control of the magic and it would corrupt them. She gave them instructions and sent them on their way without food or water, for Caraboose never gave up what was more than necessary. The three men read their instructions, and while many have pondered what it was they really did, it is said that Caraboose gave them the magic to open a dark circle to let darkness take in many souls in exchange for darkness to reign over their intended lands. It was done through much chanting and the burning of a fire. Many days later, when they returned home, they waited patiently for the full moon to come into the sky. In the town, however, lived a White Witch. She suspected that the three men were up to something and she begged them not to go through with their plans, that God might forgive them if they didn’t. But the three men ignored her and sent her own her way, so the witch, Hazel, slunk back to her house and there she stayed. When the night of the full moon came, the three men stole away into the night and made their way to the cemetery that was on the outside of town. They searched with a single torch for the perfect place to set up their spell. Finding the area, they set up wood to burn, a knife to draw blood and everything else that was needed. As they continued to get ready, they could not but laugh and sing about how clever their plan was, and in so, they became distracted, and when they began to pour the black powder Caraboose had given them, they were careless and didn’t close the circle properly. Once they were set up, they began chanting, and from the light of the fire their shadows grew and spanned across the graveyard. Once the area was in complete darkness, they saw their shadows and started to use them to call the dead. With each grave the shadow of their hand passed, a ghost would rise out of it and make its way to them. Soon, all the spirits within the graveyard had been called, and they were flying around the black powdered circle in a loop of ghostly matter. But still it was not enough to open the portal to the darkness. Looking to the town, they sent their dark shadows down to the gallows and to the moats of the castle, and from there called forth all the souls of hanged and drowned men, of all those who died in warfare or were sentenced to death. As they crossed the town to join the place that they were summoned, Hazel happened to see these dark figures ghosting over the town, and knew that something was very out of place. In the cemetery, enough spirits had been summoned to allow them to open the portal. The three men called the shadows up into the sky and then brought them down in a waterfall of energy into the very heart of their dark circle. Each ghost laughed and cheered as it sailed past and into the place where the portal was growing. But as the men had been foolish not to complete the circle, the portal grew much too quickly, and the darkness gained control. The fire at the edge of the circle picked itself up and dived in after the last soul. The three men looked down into the portal. The fire flashed dimly but quickly, and with each flash it got brighter and brighter, until there was a whoosh of flame that shot out of the portal and into the night sky. As the flame settled, it revealed a being that had been conjured. It was mistakeable for a man at first glance, but when the three men saw that he had huge wings like those of a bat, and horns on his head like those of a bull, and skin as black as the hair on their heads, they knew something had gone terribly wrong, and tried to flee. The three men stood, stunned by the thing that stood before them. It demanded to know whom had summoned him, but none of them dared answer. The being grew impatient quickly, and from within the portal came imps and boggarts, fiends and ghouls. They all jumped around the dark circle, laughing and praising their dark leader. The three men tried to run but the evil beings held them fast as their dark master, Diablo, created such a fire from the portal as was never to be had again within the town. The evil beings let their captives go in a fun game to see how far they could run, and run they tried, but Diablo chased them with black smoke that surrounded them. As they inhaled the fiendish cloud of darkness, their minds turned from panic to blind simpleness and worship. The smoke drew them back within the circle, but they couldn’t be seen. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
