We arrived in the strange parking lot and parked our car. Our car, I was starting to think of things as jointly owned. They went on either side of me as we crossed the cotton field, as if I would be stupid enough after my mercy beating to do that again. I grew up with a learning disability but I’m far from stupid. Eric closed the door behind him and locked the locks. We we’re alone and I knew that even if we weren’t that most of people that they knew, including my best friend would urge them on to rape me until they came in me and on me.
They surrounded me when we entered. “You look delicious,” Alcide moaned out. Eric turned on the IPOD to an erotic scary song. “I tremble. They’re going to eat me alive, If I stumble they’re going to eat me alive, help I’m alive, my heart is beating like a hammer, come take my pulse its running like a runaway train.” He turned to me with a hungry expression. “Sookie you need to thank us properly,” he said lazily. I bowed my head and felt small. “Thank you guys,” I submitted and felt sick. “Say thank you masters,” Alcide said coming close to me. “Thank you masters,” I said. He patted my head and pushed me down onto the sofa. They both stared at me as the song ended. “Tell me that’s not the hottest girl you’ve ever seen?” Eric said to his lover. “I can’t,” Alcide replied. They advanced but stopped,Eric sat by me and Alcide sat in the corduroy chair. Eric laid out some lines and even though my nose was aching from the lines earlier I took the straw when he passed it to me. The drain felt all consuming; both life affirming and life ending. That’s what cliff jumpers feel, I thought distantly. I stood up and did a back flip and they both clapped. I felt ashamed for some reason. I hadn’t done one of those in years and now I’d impressed my rapists. “I didn’t know you knew gymnastics,” Alcide said frowning overtly down at the coke laid out on the table. “I started training at the age of three,” I told them sitting back down. Eric smirked and he was all admiration. “Is there anything you can’t do perfectly?” it was such an echo of what Anton had said in Florida that I flushed. “Yeah lots of things, I can’t do math, or skip, or do cursive, the list goes on and on,” I replied. They took that in in silence. “Well thank the devil for that much at least,” Eric murmured. It was a creepy thing to say. It made me recall him saying that God was a psychotic asshole. The blonde tipped his head down to the cocaine and the sound of his ingestion was loud to my tender ears, though why they felt that way was unknown to me. “But basically anything physical and you’re good,” he said after lifting his head. I shrugged my ascent. “That’s so sexy,” Alcide said taking one of Eric’s smokes and lighting it. I curled up my legs to my face and hid from them. They were going to rape me and some fucked up part of them was starting to crave their touch, like I was an island slowly disintegrating and they were my last remaining soil, the only thing keeping my mass together. I peered up at them and drew in a breath as I took in the spectacle they made. Had God or the Devil ever made two more beautiful men? They both wore black as was their wont and their eyes burned at me with a preternatural light, his so green and bright and Eric’s like a gas stove. Alcide did his first line in days and sighed. “I’m going to buy us a TV tomorrow,” he said to his boyfriend. Eric frowned. “But Miguel said…” “Fuck him, she’s not even on the news anymore.” He said nothing and reached down into the coffee table drawer and withdrew some sticky stuff. “You know how I feel about that shit,” Alcide said choosing each word carefully. I assumed that it was some form of heroin. “It’s not the white kind and fuck off, don’t you dare try to rule me,” Eric replied with a dangerous light in his eyes. He smoked the stuff and then packed more in and passed it to me. Any pain in my body evaporated as I took my third hit. Alcide looked frustrated but said nothing, that strain of fear was in his eyes, like always when he dealt with Eric. “Are you with Eric because he’s dangerous?” He seemed taken aback with the question. He was quiet so long I didn’t think he would reply. “Yes partly,” he admitted. Eric for his part looked smug and reached over and grabbed his lover’s crotch. It was something that I had suspected all along like a trickle of water under my skin. I wondered if they were both in love with me, but I too afraid to ask, too afraid of Eric having a fit and killing me. Alcide rolled a joint and lit it and took a big hit and held it in a long time. He passed it to his boyfriend. Eric looked down at the joint for a moment with some weird expression before hitting it. “Miguel is coming over tomorrow,” he said glancing up at me. I started shaking so hard at the announcement that my teeth rattled in my skull. “Alcide told me about him being his uncle,” I whispered. Eric nodded with a faint glance that held like five different things; part of it looked like he was disgusted another part was aroused, another part was jealous. And two other emotions were there but I couldn’t read them. He turned on some rap and l listened to the words and felt like a badass as I hit the pipe when he passed it to me. I was so high. The blonde sighed. “Time to rape her,” he said so causally that it made me feel bizarre. “No, not tonight,” Alcide said to my surprise. Eric frowned. “Why not?” “Because I promised my uncle that we wouldn’t fuck around with her until he gets here tomorrow night.” His lover said nothing but I could see he didn’t like it, not one bit. They put me to bed and hours later I felt them climb in on either side of me. I moaned with pleasure as their hands touched me protectively, I know how that sounds, I’m not dumb but I was starving for warmth, for affection. They cuddled me all night. When I awoke it was to a techno song and Eric got up and clicked his phone off and I saw him getting dressed and it reminded me of a scene in this scary movie I saw, where the main character gets dressed every day in perfect suits and kills at night. That movie had scared me so bad. And here I now belonged to someone just like that guy; pathological and beautiful. I watched him under my lashes but somehow he still knew and smirked down at me. “Off to work darling,” his southern accent was obvious to me in that moment. He adjusted his tie and leaned down and kissed Alcide. The sun hadn’t even risen yet and it occurred to me that Eric was one hard working motherfucker. He worked for darkness to reign, I reminded myself. Alcide awoke me with blueberry waffles and real maple syrup. He laid a napkin on my lap and I devoured them. “I’m sorry I forgot to feed you dinner,” he said quietly. “That’s OK, these are scrumptious,” I replied truthfully. “You’re going to be eating a lot from now on,” he promised. I looked forward to each meal and told him so. He seemed flattered by that and pleased. He took me downstairs and sat me down in the living room while he dusted. He put some rap on and bustled around. That was his favorite music I found out in coming months. “When is that sick fuck uncle of yours coming?” Alcide turned from wiping the empty entertainment center. “Around five, or six.” I shuddered at the thought of his uncle’s yellow eyes nailing me in place. “Is Stellen coming?” “I don’t know, why did you like it when he fucked you?” he turned with a grimace on his perfect face. “No I was just trying to prepare for this,” I muttered. Alcide worked his tail off making the house immaculate, even though there hadn’t been a spot of dirt or dust before he started. “Why are you so into cleaning?” He was busy wiping the floors, polishing, but he still answered with his back to me. “Because my parents were slobs, I lived in filth.” I pictured a tiny Alcide learning to walk on a floor that was dirty and felt lost. I was starting to love my tormentors and the knowledge of that scared me. It made me feel as if there was nothing left of the girl that had played rugby to my family’s cheers. I could almost see my brother signing “Good job” from the bleachers. Tears filled my eyes, it was strange but out of all the people that had once been in the orbit of my life I missed him the most. “I want to see Matthew,” I said. He turned and stood up after dusting the couch side table. “Well you can’t,” he retorted. “Please, you don’t understand, I need to say goodbye,” I started sobbing and Alcide came over and held me. Finally after I could cry no more he said something so astonishing that I lost all breath. “Fine, we’ll pick him up from daycare and you can see him,” he paused and stroked my hair. “After all it’s not like anyone will believe that he saw you.” Over my gratitude I felt a chill and some shadow passed over my heart and I knew that if I saw my brother that I would be signing his death warrant. “Never mind,” I muttered. Our eyes met and he nodded with understanding as if he knew the truth. You can’t go back in this life, you can only go forward or off the tracks, and by off the tracks I mean death. The doorbell rang and we both froze. His uncle was here to finish what he started. Hey everyone! Thanks go to all the astonishing reviews for last chapter, almost never (well since Web anyway) have I received such wonderful and indepth reviews. Thanks go to Sophi and Skarsgirl in particular. And special thanks to Southernebell for sharing her very real, very raw story with me. If I’m forgetting anyone I’m sorry, I try to mention every review that touches me but I don’t sleep anymore and sometimes I get so sad and feel so lost inside my skin. Anyway thanks again. I will update again after I get drunk and pass out. I’m a massive drunk which I justify because I don’t do drugs anymore. While AFF and its agents attempt to remove all illegal works from the site as quickly and thoroughly as possible, there is always the possibility that some submissions may be overlooked or dismissed in error.
