A/N: Hello friends! First I must thank my pals Jessica and Leslie for helping me out muchly with this chapter. I appreciate it tons ladies!
So recently I’ve had a few questions come up. One is, can I ask you a question? I lost that message, but the general answer is yes lol. The ones I won’t answer are things like, when is this going to happen, is this going to happen, ect. If you ever need clarification on something, ask away!
Another one was, how old is everybody?
Ness is 19, and looks it. Swan and Anthony are both 11. She looks about 18, he looks early 20's since he is a wolf. The twinnies are about to turn 11. Mollie was always a little smaller, even more so now since Xandra went wolf. So Mol looks like a petite 18, and Xandra looks early 20's, but a touch younger than Anthony. Asa is 7 and looks about 16. Jake looks the same as he did at the end of Twilight and is (woah!) 36. Still lookin good Jake *wink wink* Since it’s easy to loose track, if you ever bookmark a chapter, this would be the one.
Blah, blah, blah. Enough! ;)
*Swan*“I was cuter, right?” I said to Mom.
We were in lawn chairs in the backyard, watching Daisy swim with Anthony and Amy.
“You are both very adorable in different ways,” she insisted.
“Eh, that’s such a mom answer.” I was just messing with her anyway, and she knew that.
Today was the first day I’d actually seen Amy go in the water. She didn’t have a suit, she just wore boxer type shorts and a t-shirt. It looked uncomfortable to me.
Anthony living with Amy made me wonder, when are we old enough to go out on our own?
I had asked Mollie about it.
“How come you and Seth don’t just move in together? Why worry with school? Anthony’s not,” I said.
“He is going to go back next year. He promised Asa, it’s his first year, so he’ll go.”
I wasn’t so sure about that myself. I knew Xandra wasn’t either, and she’d been in his head.
“With those two, it just sorta happened. She needed a place to live, he gave her one, and just never left. He couldn’t, and I get it. Mom wasn’t about to try and get him to come home. Which is how I know nobody will try to tell me I can’t move out,” she reasoned.
Meaning Mom and Dad.
“So then live together, and finish school.”
“We are going to, he’s got some money, and so do I. We just wanted to wait until everything calmed down. Don’t say anything yet though. I don’t want anybody to get upset about it until it’s all for sure.”
Meaning Xandra.
Mollie sighed.
“But we’ve looked at a couple apartments, and a cute little house we liked a lot.”
“Where at? The rez?”
“Nah. It’s a bit farther away from school, but it had such a big yard,” she replied. “It was private, too.”
“Ah, yes. So you guys won’t have to go ‘camping’ like every weekend anymore. You can do the dance with no pants all you want, and have a bunch of sticky, smelly kids running around that yard.”
“That’s the idea!” she said brightly.
That was what she wanted. Having Mollie as a mother would probably be an adventure. I wanted to have adventures, but not in Forks, that was for sure.
The list of places in the world I wanted to see grew all the time. Like Japan, Xandra said she’d go there with me. Italy, India, Barbados, lots of islands.
For now, adventure meant ballet class. Some of the class was my age, I’d say everybody in there was probably under thirty years old. There were some good looking guys in there. They were human, and some of the best looking ones were gay, but it was lovely to watch them dance and think about making out with them on the drive home.
I was excited for a special workshop that was being held on Russian ballet. It was every Saturday for a month, and it was an all day thing. We were going to have guest teachers. Rumor had it, they were actually from Russia.
I got a brand new outfit for the occasion. I spent so much time getting ready, I’d have looked a lot better if I’d shown up on time. I drove way too fast to get there. Once I finally had, I stopped short right outside the building.
What is that smell? I know that smell.
When I entered the lobby, it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and I knew for sure what it was.
There was another vampire here.
I didn’t even know what to do.
I acted as natural as I could as I walked into the studio. My eyes quickly scanned the room, and focused on the two new people. They both looked like vampires. Both the man and the woman had that supernatural beauty, and now that I was in the room with them, the smell was overwhelming.
I couldn’t tell if they were siblings, or a couple that looked alike in that vampire sort of way that my grandparents did. They both had dark features, and eyes that didn’t look quite right. They looked a little too...red.
They were obviously fine with humans, but would they see me as a threat? Vampires are so territorial.
“You must be the elusive Swan,” the man said, looking less than pleased. “Have a seat.”
That was the last thing I wanted to do, but it was obvious that was not a suggestion. Part of me wanted to run. If I did, would he follow me? I needed to find out where we stood. This had never happened, I didn’t know the protocol.
His oddly colored eyes followed me as I walked to sit on the edge of the cluster of other students that were sitting on the floor at the back of the room. In the wall of mirrors behind the two vampires, I could see that everybody else’s eyes were on me too.
I had never been so uncomfortable here.
I sat as still as I could as the two gave their talk on the history of Russian ballet. They were very no nonsense. The words just swirled around me as I wished I could get my phone out, but one of them was always looking at me.
Did you ever just want you’re mom? I wanted my mom.
I wasn’t sure what to do, and I couldn’t afford to make a wrong move here.
We took a break far sooner than I expected, considering this workshop was an all day thing.
“Meet me in studio C.”
I knew he had been talking to me, even though he wasn’t looking at me as he walked out of the room. It was so quiet, that none of the humans would have heard.
I didn’t want to see what would happen if I didn’t follow him straight away. I ignored the slowly growing din of students behind me, taking the chance to talk about the instructors now that the woman had left the room too. Too bad for them that wherever she had gone, she could still hear them calling her a ball buster.
The hallway that lead to studio C was dark. This side of the building was totally silent, our workshop was the only thing happening here today. Even though every room I passed was empty, he’d had to choose the one at the very end of the hall.
Drama queen much?
My heart was pounding in my ears as I reached the doorway. He was facing me, leaning against the ballet bar in front of the wall covered in mirrors.
“Be sure to close the door behind you.”
His Russian accent was slight, but it was there, and a little intimidating.
I got a better look at him, now that we were alone. He had to be about six feet tall. His dark, wavy hair was almost long enough to touch his ears. He had kind of a swimmers build, with broad shoulders.
He was sexy, and suddenly I wasn’t sure if I should run, or throw myself at him.
“Are you what I think you are?” he said once I’d closed the door. I didn’t go any closer, and stayed right in front of it. “You can’t be, because I can hear your heart beating.”
You mean...overly? Yikes. Embarrassing.
“I am,” I answered. “What you think I am. Partially.”
“Impossible.”
“I’m standing here aren’t I?”
He looked me up and down. I was frozen as he started to approach me. For the first few steps, he walked at a human pace. Then I blinked, and he was right there.
He bent his head, and deeply inhaled at my neck. His nose brushed my skin, just briefly.
“Are you what I think you are?” I asked, my voice trembling.
“Fully. Perhaps you are possible after all, but how?”
“My mother is half.”
He finally lifted his head from my neck, and looked at me to raise an eyebrow.
He was right, that really didn’t explain anything.
“My grandma was human. She was turned just after my mom was born.”
“By?” he wanted to know.
“My grandpa.”
“He was present for the birth?” he said with surprise.
“Well, yeah. They were married. I mean, they are married.”
“And your mother, she lives still?”
I explained that she was half, and healthy. I wanted it to be my turn to ask the questions.
“You are both vampires?”
“Kira and I? Yes.”
“Are you...together?”
It probably wasn’t any of my business, but I still wanted to know.
He let out short, but deep burst of laughter.
“Traveling partners, yes. If you mean lovers, no.”
I felt sort of silly for asking now.
“Kira prefers the gentler sex...mostly.”
I didn’t catch his drift right away, and he could tell.
“Females,” he said simply.
“Oh!”
Now I felt really silly for asking.
“Does that make you uncomfortable?” he asked, looking like he’d be amused if my answer was yes.
“No,” I said quickly. “It just kind of took me by surprise is all.”
“I see,” he said with a smirk.
I felt my ears turning red. I didn’t care if she was gay, but now I couldn’t help picturing it, and that was strange.
“Sasha!” Kira called from down the hall.
So that was his name. I’d always thought it was a girls name. I guess not in Russia.
“It seems that it’s time to restart the workshop. Why don’t you stay once things are over for the day. We have much to talk about.”
He walked past me and towards the door, but I stopped him.
“Hang on. You aren’t planning to feed from anyone in this class, are you?”
With those eyes, there was no way he was a veggie vamp like me.
“Only if they ask me to,” he said with a grin. I didn’t know him well enough to tell if he was joking.
“Please don’t. Please.”
His grin faded.
“If it will bother you, I’ll refrain.”
“It would. Very much. Thank you,” I said, sounding a little formal.
What would have happened if I hadn’t asked him that?
That was a question I wasn’t going to ask, because I was pretty sure I didn’t want to know the answer.
RenesmeeBilly and Grandpa Charlie were easy men to please. An afternoon with the grandkids, some card games, and a platterful of sandwiches, and they were happy as clams.
Asa had wanted to play for money once Billy started teaching them poker.
“Nope, you are not taking money from your grandfathers,” I said.
“He won’t,” Billy assured me with a confident smile.
“You got that right,” Grandpa added, and the two clinked their beer bottles together.
“Play for pretzels,” I suggested, setting a bag of them in the center of the dining room table.
“Mom, that’s ridiculous,” Asa complained.
“Asa. Build a bridge and get over it. Not happening,” Jake told him.
Jake always backed me up, and I was thankful for that.
Once they had gone home in the early evening, I realized Swan was late. When I called, I got her voice mail.
“That’s weird,” Jake commented. “She is in love with that phone, I can’t remember the last time I called her and she didn’t pick up.”
“Same here,” I agreed.
The twins and the Asa were quiet. That was the strangest thing of all, and it was starting to freak me out.
“Why don’t you guys go...go do something,” I said.
They stared at me as I stuttered.
“Seriously. Go outside or something,” I told them.
Of course once they did, it was even more quiet and that just made things worse.
“You don’t think something happened...do you?” I asked Jake.
“No,” he said, far too quickly.
It wasn’t like her to not let me know what she was doing.
I was afraid to call her again, if she didnt answer, it would worry me even more. I stared at my phone until it finally buzzed.
im so sorry Mom. im on my way home. gotta talk to you guys.
I slumped into the couch and loudly exhaled.
you scared the crap outta me. U ok? I asked.
100% c u soon
“What the hell,” Jake muttered, reading her text over my shoulder.
I shook my head.
“At least we know she’s fine,” I said.
We waited for her, mostly in anxious silence, until she burst through the front door.
“Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit!” she shouted.
“Quit being a drama queen and just tell us what’s going on!” Mollie shouted back.
Swan appeared in the doorway to the living room, and dropped her purse right on the floor.
“There were two vampires teaching the workshop today!”
I was positively stunned.
“What are they doing here?” Jake asked her.
“Teaching the workshop! It’s on Russian ballet.”
“So what happened?” I pressed.
Talking a mile a minute, she told us about her first encounter with them.
“She’s gay ?” Xandra said. “How weird.”
“Xandra, grow up,” Swan said, annoyed at being interrupted.
She went on to tell us that Sasha and Kira were European nomads. They weren’t a couple, but they weren’t exactly a coven either. She had stayed after class to talk with just Sasha. He assured Swan that he and his companion wouldn’t feed from any of the students. He claimed they only fed from humans who wouldn’t mind. However, he wouldn’t elaborate on that. Sasha also declined to tell Swan how old he was. He was certainly very curious about her, and that was even without knowing about the shifter genes that also ran through her blood.
We called Grandpa Carlisle to see if he could tell us anything about the pair. He didn’t know them personally, but he knew of them. They traveled the world, but liked to stick to Russia as much as possible, practicing ballet under different names. In his opinion, which we valued very much, if they were changing their names it was safe to assume they were probably quite old.
Disturbingly, Grandpa wasn’t able to answer for sure our main question with any certainly, so we didn’t find out anything more about their feeding habits.
“I can’t believe it. Freaking vampire ballerinas,” Mollie said.
“Let’s go, baby girl,” Jake said to X as he stood from his seat on the floor by my feet. “Go ahead outside.”
He put his hands on my knees, and leaned down to touch his forehead to mine.
“Wanna go for a quick hunt when I get back?”
I nodded quickly.
“That sounds perfect.”
They went off to tell the rest of the pack.
I stayed in the living room, by myself, just thinking. I wasn’t sure if I wanted her to keep going to the workshop. She had made it clear to me before she went upstairs to her room that she didn’t want to quit, not in the slightest. I wanted her to trust her own instincts, and I wanted to trust them too, but it would be difficult.
Xandra interrupted my thoughts when she came through the back door.
“Dad’s waiting for you outside.”
“Thanks, sweetie.”
I got up, and realized my butt was a little sore from sitting there for so long.
“How is your brother?” I asked.
“Seems fine. He didn’t actually come meet us. He phased but stayed home with Amy. Quil did the same thing. Anyway, A.J. says he’ll call you tomorrow.”
I was glad, it was always nice to talk with him.
I thanked Xandra again, and went outside to find Jake. It wasn’t hard, he was right in the middle of the back yard, still a massive beautiful wolf.
He gave me a big goofy grin, and motioned for me to get on his back.
The wind seemed to almost flow through me as he ran, and my cares and worries were temporarily behind me. I savored the familiar scents of the woods all around me, and Jacob beneath me.
I was thrilled that we quickly found a gigantic bear, I took him down easily.
While I leaned against a tree and licked my fingers clean, Jake danced around in front of me.
“What?” I asked.
I stared at him. I knew that expression, it made my heart pound, even when he was a wolf.
With our eyes locked, he approached me slowly, like he was now hunting me. I sure wasn’t going to make him chase me.
He rose up on his back legs, towering over me. In the blink of an eye, he shrank back down to normal, and his hands were on my shoulder. They moved slowly, his grip firm down my body.
“You’re so sexy when you hunt,” he mumbled against my neck. A shiver went down my legs and landed right between my legs, then one of his hands did the same.
I pressed myself against it, realizing suddenly that I needed him, more than I needed anything else.
He pulled the zipper of my jeans down much slower than I would have liked, then shocked me by plunging two fingers inside of me before my pants had even hit the ground. I leaned my head back, moaning as he pumped his fingers. I tried to keep my eyes open to return his gaze, but it required far too much effort, so I let them flutter closed.
When he arched his fingers, I felt my whole body tense. My second shock came, and it was a big one, (pun intended) when he replaced his fingers with the entire hard length of himself right in the middle of my orgasm.
As he held me up against the tree, I started to shout incoherently, and push back against him. It was almost too much to take. If I could have talked, I might have asked him to stop.
Thankfully, I couldn’t.
He didn’t let up as I scared away every animal in a fairly wide radius.
Good thing I had already eaten.
Once I remembered that I had arms, I grabbed him by the shoulders. He let me push him back, and we fell to the ground into the soft ferns.
“Touch me,” I demanded as I quickly snapped my hips back and forth.
His hands, rougher than usual, reached up my shirt.
I just couldn’t get enough of him.
We were blissful together in the woods for quite a while. Eventually, we’d have to go home and face life again, but for right now, it was all about us.
A/N: Well, well. What do we think about Sasha and Kira? I’m looking forward to finding out!
Sorry for any editing issues, it’s not something that I normally do, but this was kind of a speed edit lol
