Once again, the defenders of Narnia, now far larger than the last two times Rishda had attacked, watched. However, instead of the High King and Kind Edmund putting on a show, King Edmund and Shazarraah Tarkheena were going at it.
"Are you sure this is wise?" Tirian asked with concern.
"They would end up doing this anyway, so best to let them get it out of their systems now," Peter explained.
"I've never even heard of a Calormene woman even having the right to learn the scimitar," Tirian added.
"They aren't the most civil of people I can tell you," Susan said, speaking from experience. Peter nodded and everyone gathered saw as both combatants disarmed each other at the same time, their swords flying out in two different directions.
"Draw!" Peter called out and the two looked at the High King first then at each other. It appeared, for now, that nothing would be settled.

"I think they got all their initial aggression out, but I have my concerns," Peter said as he walked with Aslan. "I know you trust her, but what if even her motives are hidden from you by Tash? We don't know Tash's capabilities."
"He is my opposite, however, sending a woman to spy on us goes against all current Calormene beliefs. No, she is genuine."
"Then, until proven otherwise, I shall believe you, and her. Can you beat Tash?" he asked. Peter had been hesitant in asking, but Tash was far more of an opponent than Jadis was.
"My battle should not concern you. Your battle with Rishda, however, should be your concern."
"Understood," Peter said and spoke no more of the matter.

The two glared at each other from opposite sides of the tent they were forced to share. Neither moved, nor said a word. Then, Shazarraah lunged and knocked Edmund to the ground and the two started fighting, this time with their bodies instead of their swords. To Edmund's surprise, Shazarraah was as adept with physical fighting as she was with her scimitar. Then, the Narnian king got a cheeky grin on his face and pulled a somewhat childish move.

Peter arched an eyebrow, hearing the sound of laughter, feminine laughter coming from the tent that Edmund and Shazarraah were being forced to share so they would learn to get along.
"Uh...."
"She needs to laugh," Aslan remarked.
"True, but my brother isn't known for his...humor."
"No, but anyone can tickle anyone else," Aslan replied with a smile. Peter shook his head. What was that brother of his up to?

"Give up!" Edmund demanded as he tickled Shazarraah.
"Why you...dirty...!" she shouted through her laughter.
"Na-ah, that's not what I wanted to hear," Edmund growled and continued to tickle her. She bucked hard and finally threw him off of her. She dove on top of him and got nose to nose with him.
"You've got some gall pulling that, or you thought that the only way you'd beat me is by pulling such a childish move."
"Hey, it worked didn't it?"
"Not long enough for you to declare victory," Shazarraah countered. She smirked. If he wanted to play like that, then she could do something that would guarantee that he wouldn't attack her for the rest of the night.
Edmund's eyes popped out of their sockets for a moment as he felt her lips pressed against his own. He desperately wanted to pull away from the kiss, thinking she was about to pull her own dirty trick, but the thought of her pulling such a trick was slipping to the back of his mind.
Shazarraah was about to give the king a little taste of his own tickle medicine when she felt Edmund respond by returning the kiss. Her eyes widened, realizing that the stupid Narnian had enjoyed it.!
He rolled so that now he was on top of her and continued to kiss her. He stopped, pulled back and press his forehead against hers.
"By the lion's mane, what are we doing?" Edmund breathed out.
"I kissed you so I could start tickling you, then you started kissing me...did we both like doing that? I mean you are an ass of a king."
"Not to mention that you are an ass of a Calormene woman," Edmund countered.
"I guess then we are a couple of asses then?" she questioned with a grin.
"I guess so," Edmund answered with his own grin.
"Well, will the king continue?"
"This king will not dare take your..."
"Stuff it Narnian," I haven't much virtue left from almost being raped half a dozen times on my journey to escape that hell of my former home," she retorted and Edmund bit his lip.
"How close...?"
"I was made to pleasure several with my mouth, my virginity was taken, but no one Calormene's seed got into my womb. They all paid for that when I got my hands on my scimitar," she said and Edmund winced, not wanting to know what she might have done to those fools.
"Wish I'd been..."
"Will you quit playing the heroic Narnian barbarian riding on his white horse? I'm not a damsel you need to save," she growled.
"Yeah, you certainly are not a damsel," Edmund blurted out and she shoved him onto his back and the two fought again, eventually tiring and falling asleep against each other.

"I guess you approve of them?" Peter finally asked the lion.
"He can heal her and she can keep him in check," Aslan replied
"Or they can both kill each other," Peter quietly said, but the lion ignored that, looking towards the horizon where Calormene laid.
"They are here."
"Who?"
"Their entire army has entered Narnia."
Peter bit his lip. Rishda was ready to wipe them off the face of the map, and take Narnia for himself.
888
Rishda looked upon the rest of his forces that were coming towards his encampment. He smiled. Narnia would burn soon enough.
"Remember, kill all of them, leave no Narnian alive," Tash reminded Rishda.
"I hear and obey, Lord Tash," he replied and Tash smirked venomously. Soon, the emperor's favored son would die.
