Kit glared at Izayoi and saw the blood.
“What did you do?” she asked her dark eyes softening.
“I took care of.” Izayoi replied. Jeff walked stiffly into the room. “Jeff-san?”
“I’m okay Izayoi. Thank you.” Jeff said as he eased himself into the recliner. “However the heart attack you gave Kit pisses me off.”
Izayoi looked at Kit. Kit glared at him. “Um also don’t use the bathtub for a few more hours.”
Izayoi looked at Jeff with questioning eyes. Jeff looked at the dried blood on Izayoi and arched an eyebrow. Kit went to get bowl of water, and started to clean the blood off of the kitsune.
“Izayoi you should have let me go with you.” Kit whispered.
“I not want you hurt Kit-chan.” Izayoi replied with a sigh. Kit started to get him out of the bloody clothing.
“We’re going to have to burn these.”
Jeff shook his head.
“Izayoi I hope you killed the bastard painfully.”
“He die slow.”
A man with metallic silver hair came out of the bathroom. He saw Kit cleaning dried blood off of Izayoi and arched an eyebrow.
“So this is the one you told me about.” Frost said softly. Jeff looked up from where he was sitting and nodded his head. “Young man you might want to take a shower.”
Izayoi really didn’t notice the man, but headed off to the bathroom to take a hot shower. Kit heard the water running and took the bowl of water back to the kitchen.
“It’ll be a bit before he realizes you’re here Frost.” Jeff said.
“That is not a problem young one. You wouldn’t believe the heart attack I nearly had when Sara called me about what happened.”
“Come on Frost you shouldn’t have worried.”
Frost glared at Jeff, and then shrugged.
Kit went to get Izayoi clean clothing and to get rid of the bloody set. She watched Izayoi shower, and waited for him to get out of the shower before handing him a towel.
“Feel better?” she asked as Izayoi dried off. Izayoi slowly nodded his head.
“Who other man out there?” Izayoi asked.
“Oh that’s Frost. He’s an elf lord.” Kit replied. “He’s also Jeff’s foster father. So do you feel sociable or do you want to sleep?”
Izayoi looked at Kit and smiled softly.
“You have to forgive. Izayoi tired and want to sleep.” Izayoi said softly while trying to avoid yawning. Kit chuckled lightly, and nodded her head.
“I’ll explain to Frost about you wanting to curl up and sleep.” She said as she gently pushed him onto the bed. She wrapped the blankets around him, and then walked back into the living room.
Frost smiled and noticed the other fox wasn’t with Kit.
“I take it he’s asleep?” Frost asked. Kit nodded her head slightly as she sat down near Jeff.
“Yeah he was tired. Being gone for two days.” Kit replied.
“Two days?”
“Yeah. He took care of Kenjo and his lackeys.”
“You found a very honorable young man, and since I know the living arrangement you three have, I have a gift for you.”
“Dad…” Jeff began. Frost held up his hand to silence the younger man.
“I had wanted to wait until the other one was present, but I think he’ll be asleep for a week.” Frost said before pulling out a sheet of paper. “I bought you a house in Brentwood.”
“You didn’t have to do that Frost.” Kit said. “We could have found something.”
Frost smiled.
“Yes you could have, but consider this and something else for that young fox a gift.”
“Something else?” Kit and Jeff both asked.
“Yes, the deed is under the deed to the house.” Frost smiled and vanished.
“I hate it when he does that.” Kit said.
“It’s his way.” Jeff said as he flipped through the paper. “Oh shit! Kit you’re not going to believe this.”
“What?”
“Frost bought a restaurant for Izayoi.”
Kit’s eyes went wide.
“You’re joking!”
“I kid you not sis. It’s right here. Do we wake him up for this or let him sleep?”
“Let him sleep he needs it.”
“Sis you’re mean. When will we tell him?”
“When he wakes up.”
