Chapter 6

After leaving Lilly, Lucan told Miles to guard her while he was away, and then decided he had better tell Rian what was going on.
“Well, are you going to yell at me?” Lucan asked as he stood in front of Rian with his arms crossed.
Rian shook his head and said, “Lucan I know that you would never take advantage of anyone. What has Lilly decided?”
“Nothing yet, she needs time. How can I ask her to mate with me? Look what has happened to her so far,” Lucan said as he started to pace back in forth.
“Lucan I think she can take care of herself. She is very powerful. I’ve seen how she looks at you when you aren’t looking. She cares for you. I think you two need each other.” Rian had always sensed this restlessness in Lucan. He hoped Lilly would give Lucan whatever he was searching for. “Don’t make any rash decisions just now. You have three weeks,” Rian said earnestly.
“I know,” Lucan nodded, “I have Miles guarding her until I return. We are almost ready to make a move on the hunters. I need to check in with Phillip. I will talk to you in the morning,” he said then flashed out of the bedroom.

It was late when Lucan returned to his room. The tessera had made plans for a late morning attack. One group would take care of the hunters and another would go thru Edward’s house to confiscate whatever evidence he had. Then they would prepare to take care of Nigel and whoever was involved with him.
Changing into sweats Lucan crawled into bed next to Lilly who immediately cuddled up next to him in her sleep. Lucan relished the feel of her against him. He breathed in her scent and swore to himself that he would somehow convince her to stay with him because the thought of loosing her was unbearable.
Lilly woke to find herself cuddled up to Lucan. He was in his panther form and she just looked at him for a few minutes thinking back on these last few days. How wonderful to never have to wake up alone again. She couldn’t use the excuse of his life being dangerous as a reason not to stay with him. Her life was dangerous before Rian came into her life. She had to move and hide three times from witch hunters. There was a family that for generations has been hunting witches and that was who killed her mother. If Lilly stayed she would bring that danger with her.
Lilly ran her fingers thru his fur and scratched behind one of his ears which started him purring. Smiling Lilly leaned down and whispered, “Lucan, wake up.”
She wanted him. She couldn’t deny the craving she had for him and she was the one who started to purr when he changed into human form.
Lucan was on fire. He was so hard he ached. Lilly was kissing his chest and started sliding her way down to kiss his stomach, darting her tongue into his navel and he hissed from the pleasure.
Looking up, Lilly smiled at Lucan’s reaction. Leaning down, she ran her tongue from the base of Lucan’s shaft to the tip, savoring the taste of him. Swirling her tongue around the tip she then took him into her mouth, relaxing her throat, swallowing as his cock hit the back of her throat.
Lucan had to fight the urge to raise himself off the bed. Reaching down, he threaded his fingers thru her hair, trying to regain some control. Her mouth was truly magic. He growled and tried to give her a few more moments because he knew she was having fun making him crazy. Not able to take anymore he pulled her up to kiss her senseless.
Lilly drank in his pleasure. It made her blood boil. She soon found herself on her hands and knees and Lucan entering her, causing her to scream.
Lucan was out of control. He needed his mate, needed to take her like this, driving them both out of control. He felt her in him. How he ever survived all these years without her he didn’t know.
“Sweetling, come for me. Let me hear you scream again,” he breathed in her ear. Reaching down he touched her pearly nub and drove both of them over the edge. As the pleasure ripped through them they screamed and fell to the bed.
It took minutes for Lilly to catch her breath. Still connected with Lucan she could feel how he felt, how he cherished just holding her. Before she knew it, tears were falling down her cheeks.
Lucan turned her over to look down into her eyes and words weren’t needed. They both understood that they needed one another. Wiping her tears away he bent down and gave her a gentle kiss. “After we take care of Nigel we will talk. There is no rush.”
“Lucan, thank you for everything,” Lilly smiled as she reached up and caressed his cheek.
Lucan couldn’t move. Before Lilly withdrew herself from him she sent her feelings thru him. He had never thought anyone would feel the way she did for him. Knowing that she wasn’t ready to say the words yet he carried her to the shower. After they lovingly washed each other, he went and retrieved food for them. They ate, enjoying their time together, and then they walked to Rian’s chamber.
Before they entered Lilly was surprised by someone flashing in front of them.
“Lilly this is Miles,” Lucan said, nodding towards the tall, ruggedly handsome man standing before them, “He will guard you while I am away. If you need anything he will get it for you.”
After being introduced to Miles Lilly entered Rian’s chamber to find him sitting up in bed, “You are looking much better today.”
“I feel a lot better. How are you?” Rian said, smiling at her, and then looked at his brother.
Lilly saw Rian looked to Lucan and she knew what he was asking. “I am fine. Lucan and I are working things out.”
“Yeah, she pinned me to the wall,” Lucan chuckled.
Lilly turned to him with her hands on her hips, “Well you wouldn’t answer my questions.”
Smiling down at her, Lucan laid a kiss onto her lips then flashed out of the room.
Lilly scowled, “He had better not do that again, leave without any warning. I swear I’ll zap him.”
