this chapter shows some of Edwards thoughts and fills in a couple of details also shows Jasper's remorse.

Edward’s POV

I drug Jasper out of there hoping he didn’t wake up before he was away from Alice and this new girl, if he woke up we were down for we would have to leave now, no explanations, no nothing, we would just have to leave, ‘please dear god, don’t wake up Jasper stay knocked out long enough to get out of your range of them.’ As weird as it was for Alice not to be at lunch it was normal, probably had a vision and was straightening it out before she told us about it, that was how I needed up with Tanya. ‘Tanya why do you have to stay in Alaska, why didn’t you come to Folks with us’ I yearned to be near her, but she had her reasons and I visited her as much as possible. ‘What was with Alice sure she can be impulsive but why that girl, sure she was cute but still’

Jasper started to shift in my arms, “urgh, what’s going on where am I, where’s Alice?” he jumped up faster than I thought he could and started growling at me, if I didn’t know what was going through his head I would have been scared.

“Jasper, buddy calm down she’s fine, she is…….. Not near us right now, you need to get your head straight” his thoughts were of anguish, he regretted calling Bella a whore but she was with his mate, ex mate, and with that he collapsed to the ground.

“How did I lose her, what did I do wrong?”

“Sometimes it isn’t what you did but whether you were meant to be, you know she wasn’t happy”

“ya but I thought we could work on it and then one day she had one of her cryptic visions and said we were done, that it was too hard for her to do anymore, what did she see?”

“I don’t know,” and I really didn’t she had hide it from me so well but what I saw in her head when I was near her.
‘my Bella mine, she isn’t destined for Edward she is meant for me that was what the vision meant, she was to be with me, my angel mine’ that was all I could read from her mind, it was so incoherent that was all I could make out of all the ramblings. That and a picture that was mostly likely from her vision it was of our family; I was with Tanya, Charsile with Esme, Emmet was with Rosaline, she was with this new girl, and Jasper was with someone we had never seen before. But this vision was at least 100 years in the future…… ‘Wait does she mean to change Bella, or does something happen’

“Jasper I don’t know I would have told you than if I did, things will get better you know that”

“ya I know, it was just a shock to see her wrapped up in that, in that girl, I’ll be fine I just need to get used to it is all”

“I told you we shouldn’t have went any further, I told you something was off about her thoughts” in truth I was trying not to tell him what those thoughts were, they seemed different from Alice’s thoughts, more primal than they ever had been…..

“Ya I should have listened but I was over whelmed by how they both felt at the time, I over reacted I’ll apologize tonight”

“That would be for the best, she hit you pretty hard didn’t she?”

“Fuck yes damn it hurt, she REALLY made her point clear”

“Come on Rose and Em will be worried we should head back”

We made our way back towards the school, I led him as far away from those two as possible, I didn’t even look in their heads, I knew how I would react and well Jasper was just calming down, when we got back to the school we were greeted by Em and Rose and we both look at them and told them nothing was wrong and not to worry but they saw the look on Jasper’s face but they knew not to bring it up right now, maybe later but not now.

Bella walked in the room and I could really see the number Alice had done to her, but I was sure no one in this room beside me could. Her lips were slightly swollen, she seemed flushed and still out of breath, I could still smell her arousal, and what was worse in some cases is she smelled more like Alice than I thought she would, ‘Alice must have been all over here.’ The only thing that saved her form me was the look on her face it was one of guilt and regret, but the good kind of regret, she seemed more than a little embarrassed to sit next to me but I could tell it was Alice pulling the strings, and it wasn’t Bella who had pushed Alice to that point, ‘like she could I should have known it was Alice this was her doing and Alice was unstoppable when she made up her mind and she had, she wanted to be with this Bella, why? That was something I couldn’t answer.’ I looked at her and concentrated a little more, ‘what the hell I can’t hear her thoughts is something wrong, no I can hear everyone else’s but not hers, this is weird.’ I looked at her and smiled, ‘if she was going to attract a vampire Alice was defiantly the most interesting, she is up for one hell of a ride, but they’ll have my support.
