Alice kept drawing out her visions until the finally stopped. Sighing happily, the pixie like vampire rubbed her temples as she looked over her drawings. Mike was sitting at the kitchen table with Bella as Esme served her home cooked meal to the humans. The living room had sleeping bags thrown across the floor along with pillows and blankets.

“They are afraid to come here” Alice spoke up.

“They should be” Edward growled as he paced.

Mike picked at his food before eating everything on his plate. Bella watched Edward pace as she ate all of her food. The two humans fell onto the couch stuffed and full.

“Mike I’m going out to hunt, I should be back soon” Edward announced.

“Be safe and……catch a mountain lion for me” the teen grinned.

“Will do. Bella don’t go outside unless you are with a vampire” Edward grinned back as he kissed both of them on the forehead.

Carlisle along with Esme followed Edward out of the house and into the woods to hunt. Mike sighed as he picked at imaginary threads on his borrowed clothes.

“Mike do you think a relationship between the three of us is going to work?” Bella asked seriously.

“I know that it is going to take a lot of work but I am sure that we can make it work” Mike smiled.

Bella smiled back as she nuzzled on the blonde’s chest. Jasper paced in the living room before a knock sounded throughout the house. Alice skipped to the door as Bella sat up.

“I’m so glad that you are here Peter! We have another female!!” Alice laughed as she let the two vampires into the house. Charlotte was tiny next to Peter but she stood out.

“We are happy to be here, it is nice to get away” Charlotte said with a smile.

“Where is my brother at?” Peter asked,

“In the living room with Bella and Mike, the two humans” Alice replied as she led them into the living room.

Rosalie and Emmett set themselves between the group to make sure that no one would get hurt. Jasper hugged both Peter and Charlotte.

“I would like you to meet Bella Swan and Mike Newton, Edward’s future mates” Jasper introduced.

“It is a pleasure to meet you both” Peter smiled.

“You two are the cutest” Charlotte gasped.

“Umm…thanks” Mike blushed.

Bella giggled at the blush and smiled at Peter. Rosalie relaxed at the giggle along with Emmett. Alice pulled Charlotte over to sit on the couch with Bella and Mike. The small vampire felt a surge of protectiveness wash over her as she looked into Bella and Mike’s eyes.

“I can tell that we are going to be the best of friends” the female vampire said as she hugged both of the humans.

Mike blushed more but hugged the small woman back. Peter smiled at his wife as she told Mike all about her home and how she had met Peter. Bella stood up and stretched her legs. Peter watched the human closely and also felt protectiveness wash over him.

“So you and Jasper are friends?” Bella asked.

“Yeah we have a history together, the same women turned us. Maria is an evil girl but through her I found Jasper and Charlotte. We were in charge of killing off newborns when they were no longer needed. We both hated it so we escaped along with my mate” Peter explained.

“That horrible” the brunette said as she paled.

“It is the way of vampires who are not “vegetarians”. They have turf wars all the time and kills innocent people. It is why I am thinking about changing my life style” Peter sighed.

Bella nodded and shivered.

“I am sure that my family can help you if you really do want a change in life” Bella smiled.

“You are very fascinating and witty Bella” the red eyed vampire smirked.

“Thank you, I have to be around here” the brunette human laughed.

Carlisle walked through the door and noticed Mike being loved on by Charlotte. Edward rushed into the room and was by Mike’s side in an instant. Bella felt the breeze fly by her making her shiver. Esme shook her head at her son and turned to smile at Peter.

“Mike how are you feeling?” the bronze haired vampire asked.

“Great, I am learning a lot about different vampires” the blond answered.

“Good, I caught that mountain lion you asked for” Edward grinned.

“That is amazing!” Mike gushed.

Edward smiled as Mike hugged him and somehow ended up in his lap. Charlotte giggled making the teen blush and hide his face in Edward’s neck. Bella walked back over to the couch and sat beside the small vampire.

“Ohh Bella can I fix your hair for you?” the female vampire asked.

“Sure but I might fall asleep on you” the brunette warned.

Charlotte brought out a hair brush along with some hair ties before she started to French braid the brown hair. Bella sighed at the soft touches and relaxed.

“Peter we have a problem coming our way” Jasper whispered.

“What is it?” the older male asked.

“Newborns are coming here” Alice replied.

“Hmm…I think they are attracted here because of your family. I will help you in any way that I can” Peter said.

Mike whimpered as he thought of the newborns that were coming closer each day. Bella heard the whimper and frowned.

“Mike do you think you could help me with some of my studies?” Bella asked as Charlotte finished with her braiding.

“Yeah I do need to look over the tapes you made for me” Mike answered as he sat up in Edward’s lap.

Bella pulled out her lap top and loaded up the tapes for Mike to watch before she pulled out her school books. Rosalie walked over to Peter and Jasper with Emmett on her heals. Charlotte helped Bella with her studies as Edward placed Mike onto the couch. Alice skipped over to the blond to help him out with understand strange terms.

“Jasper do you remember how to kill newborns?” Peter asked.

“Yeah, I hate it but I do remember. We need to get the others ready in case these newborns are here for a fight” Jaz answered.

“Teach us to fight” Edward requested.

“Newborns are fast and extremely strong, you could get killed. Are you sure you want to do this?” Peter asked.

“I will do whatever it takes to protect the people I love” the golden eyed vampire answered.

Esme rushed through the house locking down the windows as Carlisle locked all of the doors. Mike easily understood all of the notes with Alice’s help and Charlotte was enjoying having Bella for company.

“Tomorrow we will train and I think it would be best if the humans stayed here. There could be newborns already here waiting for the others to come and they might take Bella and Mike” Peter said as he brushed his black hair out of his eyes.

“Understood, you and your mate should go hunt with Rose and the others so that we can be ready” Edward nodded.

Peter took Charlotte into his arms and waited for Alice, Jasper, Rose and Emmett to lead them on the hunt. Bella closed her school books and put them into her backpack. Mike shut down the laptop and sighed. Edward pulled Mike and Bella close to him as he sat down on the couch. Both of the teens curled up against the cool body as they relaxed.

“Bella tomorrow you need to call your father and let him know that you aren’t going to school” Edward advised.

“Ok vampy” Bella giggled.

“When do you think Emmett is going to honor his debt to me?” Mike asked quietly.

“Most likely after we deal with vampires that are coming, he hasn’t forgotten” Edward smiled.

Carlisle went through a stack of movies and pulled out Shrek for the teens to watch. Esme baked a batch of cookies and brought them out for Bella and Mike to munch on along with milk to drink. Mike giggled after he ate three cookies and slightly bounced. Bella snickered and poked Edward on the arm.

“I declare a poke war!!!” Mike grinned as he started to poke Edward as well.

Carlisle laughed as his son was soon being hit with pillows. Esme took pictures as pillows began to burst. Edward growled as he jumped up and away from the two teens. Feathers fell like rain onto Bella as she chased after the vampire. Mike laughed loudly as Edward was chased around the living room. The bronze haired vampire jumped up to the second floor and grabbed some rope. Bella screamed as she was tied up and set beside Mike. The blond haired teen was also tied up before Edward sat back down.

Peter walked through the door and stopped in his tracks. Feathers were everywhere around the living room and mostly covered Bella and Mike. Charlotte could barely contain her giggles at the scene. Jasper peeked around Peter’s taller body and blinked.

“What happened?” he asked.

“Poke war that turned into a pillow fight” Bella answered.

“I missed it! Esme please tell me that you got some pictures” Emmett laughed as he picked up some feathers.

“You know that I did, it was very entertaining” the carmel haired mother vampire snickered. Rosalie snuck over to Bella and untied her when Edward wasn’t looking.

Bella jumped up again and out of reach of Edward with a laugh.

“Now we can have that war!” Rosalie declared.

Alice shook her head and picked up a handful of feathers before tossing them into Jasper’s honey blond hair. Growling, the scarred vampire took off chasing Alice inside the house as Emmett untied Mike. Both of the humans created a fort behind a love seat. Edward ran after Rosalie as Peter ducked behind Bella’s fort with his mate.

“Mike, vampy coming our way, load the pillow” Bella ordered in her general voice.

“Yes milady! Pillow locked and loaded” Mike saluted as he gave the pillow to the teen.

Peter grabbed the pillow before the brunette could throw it and hit Emmett in the face. Rosalie fell into the floor laughing before she was grabbed up by Carlisle. Esme snapped picture after picture of her family having fun. Edward found Bella and Mike behind their fort and grabbed them up.

“Alright pillow war is now over. I have two lovely captives” the vampire purred.

Edward sat back down on the couch and let Mike curl up in his lap. Bella yawned and settled against the older vampire’s side with her head on Edward’s shoulder. Carlisle cleaned up the feathers and started up the movie again for everyone to watch. Rosalie sat in front of Bella and leaned against her legs. Emmett laid out in the floor in front of the couch. Peter pulled Charlotte up into the love seat and held her close. Alice laid on one of the sleeping bags on Jasper’s back as she played with the honey hair.

“This is how I always want my family” Esme sighed happily as she hugged Carlisle.

“I agree love, it is nice to have laughter back in the house after so many years” the vampire doctor smiled as he kissed his wife.
