LAST TIME:
“I am not going back there I am following you and that is final I have something I need to do in the capital.” She said sitting beside me and putting on the blanket.
“What good reason do you have for me not to take you home?” I asked her.
“I lied to you about my mother being dead, truth is she left the day after I was born and headed for the capital. I am going to find her and bring her back home no matter what, and if I can’t I will at least try and get an answer as to why she left.” She said with a strong tone of voice.
I just looked into her brown eyes looking for a lie but I found none as I nodded.
“Did you leave your family a note?” I asked her.
“Yes I did the only thing I took was some food for the road.” She said.
“Okay I don’t see why not, I need someone to talk to anyways it gets lonely on the road sometimes.” I said as she scooted close as it cooled down a little more, until she was using my side as something to lean on.
“Hey what is your real name, if I am going to be traveling with you for a while I want to know your name at least.” She said.
“My name is Percy, Percy Jackson.” I said as she nodded and then tried to go to sleep. I just kept watching the stars hoping for anything a simple sigh that this was a good idea. But one never came as I drifted off into the darkness hoping for a better day tomorrow.
NOW:
1 YEAR LATER:
“Percy wake up.” I heard as Jessica kicked me in the back as I groaned as I awoke, for the year she had been acting just like my mother and forcing me to do things.
“Come on I made breakfast I don’t want it to get cold.” She said as she kicked me again, I rolled on my back and looked up at the sky. The sun was barely reaching the horizon to begin the day, I don’t know how she does it but every time I sleep she gets up before me and make breakfast.
“Okay I am up.” I said as I got up and stretched my upper body, I looked around to see a little fire going as she had eggs and bacon already on a plate for me.
“You remember I can summon food right.” I said.
“Yeah but I like making it, tastes better that way.” She said loading her own plate. Over the year each day I told her about different stories of my time on earth, it helped the time fly as we walked all day long. But I only told her a day at a time in my life as I had just gotten to the part were the hunt first found me.
She took that I was a child of Chaos surprisingly well, she red my lies like an open book as she could instantly tell if I was lying.
“So where were we…oh year you just killed all those monsters and used them as your throne.” She said remembered where I left off that day, she took all the guts and gore like a pro as well.
“Well I just finished killing all these monsters when boom, out come all these girls in silver.” I said as I ate.
“The hunters?” She asked.
“Yep they looked at me like a monster and I can’t blame them I was at that time.” I said.
“Then what happened?” She asked.
“Oh some little girl name Tracy came up and gave me a hug.” I said with a mouth full of bacon.
“A hunter hugged you a male?” She questioned.
“Hey I wasn’t that bad okay, but just before I gave her a hug back she appeared.” I said as she looked confused as she tried to connect the dots.
“Artemis right?” She asked.
“Yep one of my wives but I will get to that later.” I said as she gasped.
“Artemis is your wife?” She yelled at me.
“Hey keep it down but yes in my dimension Artemis is my wife, I will get to how we hooked up later.” I said to her as I finished off my plate.
“Ah man how long if we keep going at this pace?” She asked me.
“I don’t know maybe a couple of years like 7 or something.” I said as she kicked me.
“Hey.” I complained as I snapped my fingers and cleaned everything up, along with her finished plate and the cooking stuff.
“I want to know now you really know how to keep someone hanging don’t you.” She said as I laughed.
“What can I say, I am a master of more than just sword play and powers.” I said.
“Well whatever tell me more we need to get going.” She said to me as she got up.
“Okay but first I want you to have this.” I said reaching in my bag and pulling out a simple necklace made of silver nothing special about it.
“What is the special occasion?” She asked me.
“Don’t think of it like that, it will give you the same immortality the hunters have.” I said as she put it on and looked at herself in the water nearby.
“I like it.” She said.
“But why the immortality?” She asked me.
“This is a 10 year journey and it is weird having people eye me with an older woman so this will keep you young as long as you keep it on.” I said as she tucked into in her shirt under her leather armor.
“Well thank you very much I don’t know what to say.” She said.
“Think of it as a simple gift for traveling with me is all.” I said as she nodded and we finally began walking on our epic journey.
9 YEARS LATER:
We reached the capital to day just as my story reached the time I married the six, Jessica was in tears at how beautiful the dresses were.
“I wish I could have a dress like that.” She said wiping the tears from her eyes.
“Well if your father saves some of that money I am pretty sure you can get one like it.” I said to her as we pass a diner and then another.
“Are you implying something Mr.11 inch.” She said as I smacked her, I was taking a bath once and she saw my junk. But thankfully Balance, since Diana wasn’t there or anybody I would defile, she taught me a spell to keep my lust under control for long periods of time like 50 years a piece.
“Shut up I am saying if you do get married I might go to your wedding okay.” I said as we kept walking.
“This place reminds me of a food market.” I told her.
“Yeah has that vibe to it, well at least we can take teleports now I am tired of walking.” She said plopping down on a bench as I just shook my head as she rubbed her feet.
“Hey mister.” I heard as I turned around to see a little kid with a toy sword, I looked around to see a women looking at me as she gave me a smile.
“Yes little man?” I asked him kneeling down so I was in a catcher’s pose, Soul Reaper lap horizontal now so it would touch the ground. A cool feature I added onto my back strap for it is that it will never touch the ground but it will move to avoid it.
“Why do you have such a big sword?” He asked me looking at it then back at his wood one.
“It’s because I fight big monsters so I need a big sword.” I told him as he awed at its massive size and surprising sharp edge.
“It must weigh a lot.” He said looking at it, truth is that it weight about 400 pounds but I could swing it like it was nothing in my hand.
“Yes I does and if you train hard one day you can become strong like me.” I said ruffling his head as Jessica laughed at the scene.
“Ha just like your father aren’t you.” Said the boy’s mother as she walked over and messed with his hair.
“Where is the father?” I asked her.
“He is currently working in the shop today, but I must say you are young to be in the army aren’t you.” She said to me looking at my 21 year old body and face.
“I may not look it but I am older then I appear.” I said to her.
“How old maybe 24?” She guessed.
“Nope 50 years old, immortality has effects like that.” I told her as she gasped.
“No way.” She said looking me over.
“Believe him it is true.” Jessica said to her as she got up and gave the little man a ruffle on the head.
“Hey.” He complained as she stuck out his tongue at him.
“So this is your daughter I presume.” She guessed.
“Yes this is her.” I said rapping my arm around her shoulder.
“My, she looks nothing like you.” She said to me.
“Yeah I get that a lot but she has my snarky attitude, but all the looks come from her mother who we are visiting today.” I said as she smiled at me.
“Well that is nice but I must say goodbye.” She said as she left with the little boy in hand.
“They were nice.” She said as I nodded.
“Well let’s find the nearest teleporter and get to the capital senate room.” I said as we walked around until we found one. I hit it some buttons I and boom we were gone but we didn’t appear where we were supposed to be at.
“Where are we?” Jessica asked as she looked around.
“Oh I want to get some sleep in before we head to the senate room so I typed in a inn and boom here we are.” I said motioning to a very fancy inn but still had the medieval look to it.
“Nice.” She said as we walked in to a bustling bar and dining area.
“Ah customers what can I get for you.” A male said behind the bar as we walked up.
“Yes can we have your nicest room please.” I said to him as he smiled at me.
“Can you pay?” He asked me.
“How much?” I asked him.
“On drachma for a 2 nights.” He said as I sighed.
“Man you are bad a lying, let’s say one drachma for a month.” I told him he smiled at me.
“Not as dumb as I hoped you have yourself a deal.” He said taking the coin and giving me the key, which I handed to Jessica with my bag as she went to put our stuff in it.
“So newlywed’s right?” The dude asked me as I looked at him funny.
“What?” I asked him.
“You and her?” He asked me.
“No she is my daughter I am immortal.” I said as he awed.
“Well sorry about that assumption.” He said with a nervous laugh.
“I don’t mind.” I said as I walked after Jessica up the stairs, hoping to get a good night sleep.
LINEBREAK:
I was fast asleep but my mind was wandering like the time I had my Elder Land Ruler senses out. My hearing suddenly picked up someone talking in the bath room, I just focused on the voice as I heard Jessica talking to herself.
“I am so close to you I can feel it, I know you are out there somewhere please if you can give me a sigh anything please.” She stopped as I heard the door open as she plopped down on my bed.
“Percy you awake?” She asked me as my body returned to being fully functional.
“Yeah I am.” I said with my back to her as she snuggled up against my back.
“Do think we will find my mother?” She asked me.
“I cannot answer that but I think we will.” I told her.
“Alright I believe in you.” She said as she put her head lightly between my shoulder blades as she let out a sigh.
“Hey can you do the thing for me?” She asked as I sighed, she had found out about my wings about a year ago on accident. When I was asleep they came out on accident and acted as a burrito blanket for her, apparently I helps her sleep so occasionally I do it because she asks.
“Yeah one sec.” I said as my wings whipped out and almost hit the walls, but I was fast enough to get them in a circle to not destroy anything. As my wings changed one to my Hypnos ones made of dream catchers, and the rest to my darkness ones as Jessica moved inside my wings.
I then wrapped my wings around her as she quickly fell asleep in a cocoon, of my wings she used a pillow she grabbed to rest her head as I lay looking up at the ceiling. My wings acted as a blanket for me as well as drifted off to sleep in hopes for a better day.
“Morning.” Jessica said as she rolled out of my wings and standing up, her hair was a rats nest as she slowly shuffled to the bathroom. Thirty minutes later a brand new almost shinning Jessica appeared with a smile on her face.
“Hey put these on.” I said handing her a package of female business clothes, I folded up my wings then shuffled to the bathroom as well. Thirty minutes later I came out with my professional business clothing for the meeting was going to have with Vesta.
“You look nice I like the silver D on the chest.” She said pointing it out as I nodded.
“I shows Diana is my master.” I said to her.
“But you’re more powerful than her.” She said as we started going down stair to check out.
“So.” I said as she just laughed at me.
“Whatever it’s a mystery to me as to why you keep her your master.” She scoffed at me.
“Hey I can’t complain too much at least it isn’t Jupiter.” I said as we finished checking out and began walking to the teleporter to go to the senate house.
“Well okay I can see that, but why the nice clothes?” She finally asked as we reached one.
“We have to look nice in a meeting don’t we?” I asked her.
“I guess.” She said fixing her skirt.
“Well this is going to be easy.” I said fixing Soul Reaper on my back as I was typing in the senate house teleportation code.
“Yeah right were just meeting a goddess who hold more than 75% of all of the other countries food imports is all.” She said.
“Wait she produces 75% of the world food here?” I asked her.
“Yeah didn’t you know?” She asked me.
“No this is the first time I am hearing of this.” I said as the teleporter was getting ready.
“You have a lot to learn then.” She said pulling out some glasses and putting them on, and I swear a gleam of light shined off of them as she put them on.
“About what?” I asked her.
“Economics of this planet of course and I will be the one to teach you.” She said looking intensely at me.
“You can?” I asked her.
“Top of my class and I have a degree in it.” She said.
“You were 18 when I found you how do you have a degree in it?” I asked her.
“I am what you call a genius in economics, the reason I was at the farm working was because it was harvesting season and most people help their family during the harvest. So my boss let me go because of that and I was forced to work at the farm for a while.” She said as I looked at her funny as the teleporter activated and we flashed to the place we need to be.
“Alright I will believe you but first let’s do this stuff.” I said as we walked out of the teleporter to the lobby of the senate building which to my surprise was a modern business look to it. We walked up to the front desk as I rung a little bell and waited for the lady to look up from her computer.
“How may I help you?” She asked looking up at me, and giving Jessica a glance.
“Yes I am here to talk to Vesta about something, I am Diana’s slave I think she may have sent you a email.” I said as quickly typed in something.
“Yes we do have you actually.” She said surprised, I just laughed at how Diana new I would arrive in this amount of time.
“Your right on time as well, come this way.” She said as I nodded a Jessica gave me a weird face.
“How do you have an appointment I never remember you calling in.” She said as we followed the woman.
“Diana made an appointment is my guess she even guessed the day I would get here.” I said as Jessica laughed.
“She is smart all right.” As we walked in an elevator with the one lady.
“Vesta is currently in a meeting still some messenger from Jupiter, he has been here every day trying to convince her to help Jupiter’s cause.” She said annoyed.
“Who is it?” I asked her.
“A clone of Mercury.” She said which surprised me.
“A clone of a Olympian?” I asked her.
“Yes Jupiter started to clone all of his allies to make an army of near invincible army.” She said.
“Wait so he is making an army of gods, that isn’t good.” I said.
“Well apparently he has to have two different gods conceive a child an then he inserts the gene of the god he wishes to clone. It is a sick process but he has been able to create specific gods, such as speed, heat, fire, lighting, etc.” She said.
“So which one is this?” I asked her as the elevator went Bing.
“He is a god of speed one of the fastest Jupiter possesses, they call him Billy.” She said as I laughed a little.
“Oh sorry it is just funny name.” I said to her as the doors opened as we heard a man yelling inside.
“Is he at it again?” She asked a guard at the door who looked to be a guard for Vesta.
“Yeah he has been like this for the past ten minutes, constantly yelling we were thinking about removing him from the premises.” The guard said with a sigh as she nodded.
“Well I will go in if it is okay.” I told her.
“I don’t see why not might shut him up, apparently didn’t get all the knowledge needed to be a fully functioning god.” She hissed as I opened the door as the yelling grew louder as I opened it.
“Jupiter demands you listen to his demands!” I heard as I looked over to see a man with giant whit feathered wings, two other men sat beside him as the man had pounded his fist into the table.
“I told you before I will not listen to his demands of such force, if he wishes for me to do as he pleases tell him to get his lazy ass over hear himself as I have told you before. So do not demand me of something I have told you I cannot or will not do for you.” I looked over at Vesta, instantly my mind shifted to Hestia as how similar they looked but Vesta looked more militaristic if that was possible.
“Jupiter does not have time for this that is why he has sent me, and you will follow his demands unless you wish for you land to drown in a sea of lighting and fire!” He said banging his fist on the table cracking it.
“Oh is that right I may be a peaceful goddess but trust me if you wish I could drown you in a sea of fire at this moment!” She shouted standing up as I watched her hair begin to flow like fire as I rose off her back.
“Is that a threat?” He asked as he his guards pulled out giant clubs as I stood on the wall unnoticed this whole time. I then noticed his guards emitted a bloodlust I have never seen before.
“Who are they?” I asked the lady.
“Billy’s guards, clones of Mars’s bloodlust. They are truly terrifying fake Olympians, they will not stop fighting unless they are killed in battle itself.” She said as I saw Vesta’s eyes grow full of rage something I haven’t ever seen, even for a Roman version of Hestia.
“No it is a promise.” She hissed as Billy’s eyes grew wide with rage, Jessica the one lady and I whistled at that comment still unnoticed.
“Well seeing as I cannot convince you to surrender your nation to Jupiter it looks like other methods are need to convince you. I feel a hostile takeover in needed to get you to listen.” She said Vesta looked super angry now.
“You will do no such-.” She was cut off.
“Kill her you two, after she is dead Jupiter will take this land for his own.” Billy said as both men suddenly started to sprint over to Vesta maces ready to strike. Billy held a smile on his face, as the one lady ran to the other room to get the guards.
“Hello.” I said as the guards stopped and everyone turned to me as if I interrupted them.
“What do you want?” Billy asked walking over to me as his guards stood ready to attack Vesta at any time as her face was full of rage.
“I set up a appointment right now and I do not wish to miss it.” I said as Vesta thought about it.
“You’re the slave of Diana aren’t you, what was your name again…Perry?” She asked me.
“Percy, but yes I set up this time and you are taking it up. I have important business to discuss with her.” I said as Billy grew a sick smile.
“Well how about this guards kill him, that way you can meet Vesta in the afterlife.” He said as I sighed.
“Jessica please step back okay.” I said as she nodded and went to the door were the one lady and the guards were all watching.
“Kill him.” He said as both the guards jumped at me, in less than a second faster than even Billy the god of speed could see I was standing by Vesta with Soul Reaper out a little bit of blood dripping off the blade.
“What was that?” One of Billy’s guards asked as he turned around to only have his top body slide off his legs. The other guard just watched as his body fell in half as guts and blood just fell in a heap as the one I cut in half didn’t have time to scream as the top of his head rolled away.
His brain fell on the ground in a nice pile as Billy just turned to me as I whipped my blade to clean it of blood. Vesta just starred at the carnage in that instant as I put Soul Reaper back and turned to Billy.
“I came here to talk to Vesta about abandoning Jupiter and all of his forces, we promise Vesta protection from Pluto and Diana from Jupiter’s forces if she agrees to stop sending food and resources to all of his allies and himself. That is all we ask for if you agree you do not have to fight as Pluto will provide protection to your country.” I said as Billy looked enraged as he pulled out a sword.
“How can a mere demigod be that fast?” He questioned me as I just stood still as he took a step back towards a window.
“I am much faster than that even faster than you Olympian of speed.” I said as I drew Soul Reaper as if to get ready if he attacked.
“Vesta you will not let a messenger die in your territory right, if you do that is an international law you are breaking and will face the wrath of Jupiter.” He said as I stood still waiting for Vesta to respond to my proposal as Billy looked scarred.
“I will accept your proposal Boy, but we will discuss finer detail after this fake god is dealt with.” Vesta said as Billy bounced at that point, in an instant the window was broken and he was flying away.
“Wow he is fast.” I said looking as he flew away at high speeds.
“Yes and if he gets away our deal is off got that.” Vesta said as I turned to her and gave a smile.
“Got it Jessica stay with Vesta and discuss things I will leave Soul Reaper in your care as I chase after him.” I said leaning Soul Reaper up against a wall.
“Wait his is a god of speed how will you catch him?” Asked the one lady as I took off my fancy jacket and my clothes instantly changed to my normal jacket and pants.
“Easy I am faster than him.” I said as all ten wings burst from the slits in my jacket as they all changed to my wings of Chaos. They went from one wall to the other as I made a quick sprint to the window and I was gone.
“He has wings?” I heard Vesta asked Jessica as I was already a couple hundred feet away. Billy was almost out of sight as I decided to ramp up the speed as I flew even faster. As I did my hood changed into a helmet a pitch black one as I went faster and fast chasing after the fastest fake god of speed.
It felt amazing to fly again as I passed tall buildings which quickly turned into fields as I went faster and faster. Billy was in my sights as I closed in at a speed faster than that of human could imagine a human or a god going. I finally reached Billy as he turned back at me with fear in his eyes as I reached out for him as the fear in his eyes grew to that of a dead man.
LINEBREAK:
JESSICA POV:
“Well that is it.” I said sowing Vesta the papers in order for our deal, well Diana’s deal.
“Okay now we just have to wait for wonder boy.” She said as I laughed, as she gave me a curious look.
“What is so funny?” She asked me.
“Wonder boy I like it, but I don’t think Percy will.” I said laughing as she gave a chuckle as well.
“So Vesta I haven’t ever seen a goddess get that angry even at televised meetings you never showed sigh of anger or anything.” I said.
“Well having that brat come here every day and demand that I surrender to Jupiter and become his fuck toy. I kind of get a little mad but that is the maddest I have ever been, I was about to light him on fire right there until Percy said something.” She said as I nodded.
“I could sense that you were about to do that especially after he sent his guards at you, but looks like even the great bloodthirsty demons of Jupiter’s army were defeated and killed in an instant.” I said as she laughed.
“I have to say he is faster than even Billy, I only saw fragments of his blade moving through their bodies then he just popped up beside me. Thought I was next until he turned around and stated his proposal against that stupid ass Jupiter.” She said as I giggled.
“What is so funny?” She asked me.
“You said ass, coming from a peaceful and war hatting goddess that is funny.” I said as I started cracking up as she just shook her head with a smile.
“Still to kill to cloned gods so easily he is indeed powerful for a demigod.” She said.
“Well demigod isn’t quiet the right word to describe Percy I think-.” I was cut off by something flying into the room, I looked up to find Percy with some cool black helmet with Billy in his hand by his throat.
“Sorry I am late gave a little more struggle than I thought he would.” Percy said as he tossed the god of speed on the ground in front of him. Billy’s nose was bleeding along with one of his arms looked broken.
“I am amazed you caught up to the god of speed so easily.” Vesta said as Percy folded his wings but kept them out just in case.
“It was easy I could have chased him for days at the speed he was going, hell I could have done it in my sleep if I wanted to.” He said as Vesta took a look at all five pairs of his wings.
“Interesting wings you have there.” She commented as Percy gave a laugh as his wings disappeared and his suit returned and helmet faded as well.
“Why thank you.” He said as we all gave a chuckle.
“So Jessica you get everything settled?” He asked me as I nodded and looked at Vesta.
“Yep just needed out little friend and we are good.” I said looking at the god as he looked around as if trying to figure if he could escape.
“So Vesta what would you like Percy to do to our little friend?” I asked her.
“Kill him.” She said which surprised me.
“I have a better idea than that.” Percy said as we both raised an eyebrow and looked at the shaking god.
“What would that be?” Vesta asked as I nodded with her question.
“Do you have the information you want on Jupiter at the time?” Asked Percy.
“I have spies so I am fine, I may not look it but I have a very successful spy network in each god’s Supreme Court.” Vesta said which surprised me.
“Very well then since you have your desired knowledge level I will do something that I think I deserving of any of Jupiter’s henchmen.” Percy said.
“What would that be?” I asked him, as he suddenly had on a red glove made of metal I had never seen before.
“Rotting his soul of course.” He said as he suddenly grabbed Billy by the neck, he had a face of pure fear as he suddenly started to scream in pain but I could see no wound on him.
“What are you doing boy?” Vesta asked looking at a god screaming in pain as if that was not possible.
“Like I said I am rotting his soul, with a little help from some items I have I can rot nearly anything I want, that includes the souls of gods if I want to. But that isn’t just limited to that I can rot flesh as well.” He said as suddenly Billy’s flesh began to almost peal like paint revealing his muscles underneath as Percy removed his hand as Billy kept screaming.
The smell was so bad I threw up in a bucket provided by Vesta as she saw my face, the room quickly filled with the smell of rotting flesh as Percy just kept looking down at the god as his muscles barely started to rot away.
“Well this is going to hurt a lot more now since I have removed you soul’s ability to feel anything other than pain.” Percy said as he gripped both of Billy’s wings then with a sickening ripping sound and a couple of pops he ripped out the wings as black blood shot up and got on his suit as it quickly began to pool on the ground.
Billy let out a scream of absolute pain, as his black/golden blood began to pool on the ground more and more from the giant pieces of his back that looked like bowls of blood. Again I threw up in the thrash as Percy just watched as finally his body stopped moving and screaming as the rest of his muscles and organs rotted away.
“Is he dead?” I asked Percy wiping my mouth with a napkin provided by Vesta as she watched the scene.
“No he isn’t dead his soul is no longer in this realm it has become one with the river of true death, this is worse than fading since he no longer has a soul.” Percy said as the bones turned to dust as the blood seemed to crawl up his leg and be absorbed by his suit.
“You just killed a god boy.” Vesta said as she looked at the stain on the floor and the giant white wings that lay on the ground on the sides of the blood stain.
“Yes I have but I have killed titans before as well, I have even allowed a primordial to fade at my hands.” He said as I knew he was telling the truth since his stories.
“But since that road bump is taken care of I believe our truce is ready to be signed by you.” Percy said straightened his jacket as if nothing had happened.
“You are a monster.” Vesta said but as she said it I saw a quick glimpse of sadness in Percy’s eye, I guess she was so much like Hestia.
“I know that.” Percy said in a voice of consideration as he picked up the wings and folded them up.
“But you have shown me you are a powerful ally to me, and so I will sign the forms for the treaty.” She said which made him smile as he stuffed the wings into a backpack he away brought with him. Somehow Vesta didn’t look surprised as eh stuffed the giant wings into the small backpack.
“Well all you have to do is put your signature there.” I said pointing at the line as she quickly signed it as I gathered the papers and handed them to Percy.
“Thank you.” Percy said as he walked over to the torch and suddenly burned it.
“For Diana.” He said as the papers disappeared, I knew they were right in front of Diana at this time as the popped out of nowhere.
“So is that is it?” Asked Vesta as Percy shook his head.
“No it is not in about an hour you will be contacted by a female, she will tell you about the true me and have you swear to complete secrecy about it. She is an ally in all of this but you will know her when she contacts you.” Percy said as she nodded.
“Is she the one who cast the spell for your identity to only be known by certain people?” Vesta asked him.
“How did you know that?” He asked her as I looked back and forth confused by them.
“My spies are everywhere but the only information they were able to gather about you was that you were more powerful than people think you are. Some were even able to get your name and such but before they got to me the information was destroyed, lost, burned, etc. I knew something was up from the beginning no one can hide so well.” She said as he smiled.
“You are correct she is the one who cast the spell but my identity is something that will change the world as we know it that is why she makes you swear on my name.” He said as I got up and walked over to him.
“Why your name?” She asked him.
“You will understand once you are told.” He said slinging on his backpack as Vesta stood up and walked over to me as Percy waited by the door.
“Yes?” I asked her.
“Be careful around him Jessica.” She said.
“Why?” I asked her as Percy was led into the other room by Vesta’s guard as a signal by her.
“Do you know what those wings on his back were?” She asked me as I nodded.
“I was told in school that the only species to have five sets of wins was the King Land Ruler and the Elder Land Ruler. Or you have the five winged Eagle of the Stars but it is still alive and sitting at Jupiter side.” I told her.
“Yes that is correct so please be careful he has the spirit of an Elder Land Ruler as his animal, do you know how powerful they are?” She asked me.
“Yes but why do I have to worry?” I asked her as she looked around then back to me.
“Elder Land Rulers have what you call a vigorous sex drive, I want you to be careful around him when the beginning of winter comes around.” She said.
“But I have been traveling with him for 10 years and nothing has come up.” I said as she nodded.
“Okay but the Land Rulers mating season comes by every 15 years so be careful.” She said as I nodded again understand her kind of.
“What happens during mating season to the host?” I asked her.
“He will undergo a transformation like werewolf’s do on a full moon, but it will only last one day. You have to try and keep him clam during that day okay, if his animal side gets control of him I have a feeling you will be his first victim.” She said.
“Oh.” I said as she nodded.
“Now go I think he is waiting for you but be careful in the next five years.” She said as I nodded and walked out the door to Percy who looked board.
“Hey.” I said as he turned to me.
“What was up?” He asked me.
“Oh you know normal girl talk about a handsome dude.” I said as he laughed.
“Well whatever, by the way my armor says hello.” He said which confused me for a second.
“Wait your armor is some beings spirits right?” I asked him remembering a little.
“Yeah A and B is their names.” He said as I laughed.
“That can be their names.” I said as I never recalled him calling them anything other than that.
“Well their real names are Alpha and Beta they said hello for some reason.” He said as I stopped at the name.
“W-what was t-the first ones n-name?” I asked him stuttering as he looked at me funny.
“Alpha why do you ask?” He asked me.
Suddenly all of the dots connected like a last piece of a puzzle that you couldn’t fine. The wings, the stories of the old armors shape, the blood sucking into the armor, all of it came together like the last piece of a puzzle.
“I finally found you Alpha, I finally found you.” I said as I hugged Percy.
“I can’t believe you were right in front of me all these years Alpha my husband.”
