Meanwhile, Severus was sitting, rigid-backed, miserable from his confining corset. He grumbled heatedly to himself, glancing to his right to see what Remus was up to. He noted, suddenly quite amused, that unbeknownst to his wolfy friend, a very feminine man was looking him up and down. The obviously homosexual man was looking so hard at Remus that Severus was amazed the man’s gaze hadn’t knocked the wolfman from his perch on his own barstool. The fact that Lupin was glued to his wife’s form gyrating with the dark-haired man in the middle of the dance floor could have had something to do with it.

As tempted as the potions master was to leave his furry friend to his own devices, he didn’t want the gay man possibly hitting on him, too. Especially since he was wearing a rather feminine corset. So, as much as it pained him to interfere, he secretly fashioned a magical collar under the bar top. Turning to Lupin, he said, quite clearly, “Okay. I’ve fixed the clasp. It shouldn’t fall off again.” With saying thus, he clipped the collar around his bewildered friend’s throat, making sure to have a tight hold on the accompanying chain-link leash. Noting the quizzical expression on Remus’s face, he simply jerked his chin in the other man’s direction, silently snickering when the wolfman’s face paled.

Meanwhile, on the dance floor, Oria was happily enjoying herself. She smiled up at the pale man she was dancing with. Shouting, just to be heard over the roar of the music, she said, “You’re a good dancer. Come here much?”

Shrugging, the dark-eyed man answered, “I frequent this side of town a lot, but not usually this club.”

As he spoke, Oria noticed something about him. His eye teeth were longer than usual. This man had fangs. But was he a vampire? She wasn’t sure. There were too many bodies in too small an area for her to be certain. She shrugged, deciding she didn’t really care. After all, they were only dancing together.
