Sorry it took so long to get this chapter out...I was having a war with my creativity...sad ending happy ending sad ending happy ending...I cant decide...

Jacob's POV

When I got out of the shower she was gone. She had grabbed her cloths and ran out of the house.

Ran to him, the one she loved. Would he hurt her? I knew I had lost. She was in love with him.

Our evening together was not the perfect time that I had planned.

She wanted him. I heard her say it while she was asleep.

All the times I had imagined her naked, she was perfect. All the times I had imagined her in my arms...God what had I done!

I was a monster. 1000 times wore that the one I had sworn to protect her from. I had to see her. I didnt care if he came after me. I hope he does.

I was right, Bella did need protection...from me.

I grabbed my cloths and car key. I was on the road. I would make this right for her, it was the only thing I could give her now. Before I left her alone.

Bella's POV

Did Edward just tell me that Jacob was pulling into the front drive? My heart started beating again at a tremendous rate. I felt dizzy and scared terrified. I couldnt speak for a minute

"What are you going to do?" I asked hoping it didnt sound like an accusation.

"Nothing. I am not going out there until he talks to you first. Then I am going to talk to him." Edward answered. I still couldnt quite place the tone in his voice. Not the murderous sound I had been expecting...fearing.

"I dont understand." I breathed. Tears started to form in my eyes again.

Edward let go of my hand and stretched his body as he got up and picked up his pants.

"You and I have alot to go over. I am not mad at you Bella, and after you talk to Jacob you will understand why I cannot be mad at him. I want to be. I fold him up 500 times and leave him for a cat toy." His tone got hard "But nothing I could do to him will be worse that what he is doing to himself right now. I can hear his thoughts."

"Edward" I stared then lost my nerve, I had not asked for this forgivness. I didnt deserve it. My heart screamed the pain in my chest was burning, it was like holding a red hot iron to my breasts.

Edwards eye met mine again. Soft gold. I sat up and got dresses never breaking his gaze.

I was crying again.

"What is it Bella?"

"I am so sorry." I whispered.

"Go outside and deal with Jacob, Bella. You and I have time to talk about this later.

"Please, come with me."

He took my hand and we walked out the door together as Jacob was opening the car door.

Edwards POV

I heard him pull up and the murderous rage began to fill my brain. I was still laying next to the most beautiful woman God, or whoever, had ever designed. I twisted her fingers in mine to keep my calm. To keep me from jumping out of this bed and ripping him to shreads in her driveway for what he had done to her. The pain he had caused her to feel, not physically, mentally she was burning. I could see it on her face. The dout she had for herself now. Pain. Fear. Emotions that were not there before she had stayed with him.

Then I heard him.

He was in agony. Not the gloating egomaniac I was expecting. He was torchuring himself.

He kept playing the same memories in his mind. Flashes I didnt want to see. Bella with her eyes shut tight, brow furrowed. Bella moving under him, her lips tight together. Bella asleep in his arms pleading, saying my name, begging for me to forgive her. He rememberd the look on her face and it was killing him.

How could I do more damage that that. I got up and got my cloths. I told her that she needed to talk to him. I wasnt going to hurt him. I looked over and relized she was watching me. I wonder if she still thought I was going to kill him. We got dressed together talking very little. I told her that we would talk after she saw Jacob.

She was very quiet. The sadness in her eyes was unbearable to me.

"I am so sorry" The pain was there in her voice as well. It took all my control to keep from reaching for her, pulling her into the deepest kiss of her life anything to relieve this pain. But I didnt think she could handle it. She was so fragile right now.

"Go outside and deal with Jacob, Bella. You and I have time to talk about this later.

"Please, come with me."

The plea was shattering in her voice.

I took her hand and we walked out the door together.

Bella POV

Edward said that Jake was beating himself up. I would have been expecting the cocky "I won" look to be on his face, but it wasnt here. I squeezed Edwards hand as he lead me across the porch to the yard.

Jacob took two maybe three steps away from his car and fell to his knees. His hands flew to his face and he broke down completely.
