Edward watched the light vanish down the driveway and had to hold himself back from chasing after them.

“They will be ok Edward, we need to keep the newborns from going after them” Jasper sighed.

“I want to be there for them” the vampire replied in a whisper.

“Come on, Peter and I are going to train you and the others to be ready for the newborns” Jaz said as he walked out into the yard taking off his shirt.

Peter gathered up Emmett and Carlisle and soon everyone was in the yard shirtless and watching Jasper and Peter fight. Edward picked up on the moves quickly and kept Jasper on his toes. Peter helped Carlisle pick up speed and Emmett hone in on tracking movements. The vampire family trained well into the night until Carlisle took a break. Pulling out his cell phone the vampire called his wife to check on their progress.

“Hello love. We are out of the city and on our way to the new house” Esme smiled as she picked up her phone.

“How are they?” the doctor asked.

“In pain, Mike is crying for Edward and Bella is almost to the point where she is screaming” the caramel haired female replied.

“Just kept driving and hopefully the pain will leave them soon” Carlisle instructed before he hung up.

The vampire doctor closed his gold eyes and sighed loudly. Edward looked at his father with worry.

“The pain is starting to hit them now, call and see if Alice has seen anything” the blond haired older vampire said as he opened his eyes.

Edward nodded as he hurriedly pulled out his phone.

“Hey Edward” Alice said in a tired voice.

“Any visions?” Ed asked as he could hear Mike crying out his name.

“None, the newborns must just be moving now and not thinking about their attack strategy” the black haired female answered.

“Tell Mike that I love him” Edward replied as he hung up.

It broke the teen’s heart to hear the pain filled cries form Mike but there was nothing that he could do. Dialing up Esme’s number he checked up on Bella.

“Edward I can’t talk right now, Charlotte is having to hold down Bella and keep her still. Call me in a few hours” Esme said fast as Bella screamed in the background.

Hanging up the vampire was for once at a lost. Emmett noticed the glazed look in his brother’s eyes.

“Come one Edward, don’t get distracted. Those newborns could be here any time” Emmett said seriously.

“Yeah……the sooner they are the sooner I can be with them” the bronze haired vampire replied with a small nod.

Jasper’s face slowly drained of emotions until there was nothing but fury left. He was back to being his old self, the general of a newborn army. Peter noticed the change but kept all of his comments to himself. The male vampires went hunting on last time before sitting on the porch to wait for the day to break and for the chaos that was sure to come.

Mike continued to cry out for Edward as Alice traded place with Rose to drive. Rose crawled into the backseat to hold the changing human in her arms.

“Mike…shhhh honey, the pain will be over soon and you will be in Edward and Bella’s arms forever.
Please just keep your heart beating for me and the rest of the family” Rose pleaded.

“Make….make it stop!! Edward!!” Mike cried out as his voice started to grow hoarse.

Rosalie held the blond haired teen close and let him cry out his pain.

Esme listened to Bella scream in agony as the venom traveled through her body to her beating heart. Charlotte was holding ice packs to the burning skin trying to alleviate the burning. Bella’s voice was getting weaker with each scream.

“I think that the venom has reached her heart” Charlotte said softly.

“It won’t be long now” Esme sighed as she drove even faster down the winding road.

The rising son brought mixed feelings in the vampire clan. For Edward it was worry over his soon to be mates and rage. Carlisle had tried to call Esme throughout the night but had been unable to talk to her. Emmett had more success with Rose but they could not talk long since she was tending to Mike. Jasper was full in general mode and kept his eyes on the woods waiting. Peter had his red eyes closed was and meditating to be calm or the fight.

“I smell wolves coming” Emmett growled out.

“Wonder what they want now” Carlisle asked as the entire La Push wolf pack slinked out of the woods.

“They are mad since I broke the treaty” Edward replied as he stood up.

Sam Uley, the alpha male of the pack, phased into a human before stalking towards the vampires. Jacob was right on his heels and was snarling. Jasper snarled right back as he cracked his knuckles.

“You dared to break our treaty!” Sam yelled.

“I broke it because I had to dog” Edward yelled back with rage.

“It would have been better if they had been killed them to be a leech. You killed my best friend!” Jacob cried out.

“Bella is not dead wolf unless you hate her now because I saved her life. She choose to go through the change, it wasn’t against her will” the bronze haired teen said calmly.

“YOU FORCED HER!” Jacob screamed as he charged at Edward. Sam phased back into wolf and howled out the order to kill the vampires.

Jasper braced himself as the wolves began to charge. Peter blocked Jacob’s attack and threw him into Sam. Carlisle tried to remain calm but the breaking of trees drew his attention to the woods.

“Back off pups, these vampires are mine” a female laughed.

“Go home before you are killed, you stink” a male growled.

Edward looked over at the woods and saw James and Victoria walk out of them. Their eyes were blazing red and blood ran down from their lips. James breathed in deeply and smirked. A group of newborns jumped down from trees and ran out of the woods behind the two vampires. The wolf pack growled at the new vampires.

“I see that you don’t have your humans here anymore” James purred.

“They are safe so that you can’t touch them” Edward smirked.

“That is too bad, we will just have to settle for killing you first then these pups and after that we can hunt the rest of your family down” Victoria laughed as she slashed out at Sam driving him back.

“Your…Bella has a lovely scent and Mike…Mmmm…it makes my mouth water” James nearly moaned.

“YOU WILL NOT TOUCH THEM!” Edward screamed as he tackled James to the group.

Jasper started to attack the newborns making them scatter around the clearing and making them easier targets. Peter and Emmett rushed at the newborns, killing them one by one with Jaz. James bit down onto Edward’s arm ripping a scream from the vampire teen. Carlisle jumped onto James and pulled his teeth out of Ed’s arm.

“I will kill you” the bronze haired teen said in a deathly calm voice.

Carlisle ripped out James arms as Edward ripped his head off. Jasper attacked the last newborn ripping it to pieces.

Victoria picked up on the fading scent of the two humans and slinked off into the woods when no one was looking. Edward stood up off of the ground and turned to where Victoria was and noticed that the red head wasn’t there. Roaring the vampire teen punched a tree.

“Let’s go! “ Jasper growled.

The vampire males took off running with Jasper following after Victoria’s scent. Edward pulled out his phone and called Esme.

“Don’t stop driving, Victoria is on your trail. We got rid of the newborns and James” Edward pleaded.

“Alice told us. Please hurry son, they need you right now” Esme gasped out.

“I will, tell Bells that I love her since I didn’t get to do that earlier” Edward sighed as he hung up.

Just then Jasper’s phone went off with Alice’s ring tone.

“Alice what is it?” Jaz asked.

“Victoria in enraged and heading for the ocean to trey and loose you” Alice replied.

“We will try to cut her off before she gets there then” Jasper answered as he ran faster while hanging up.

Edward called and left a message for Charlie to let him know that Bella wasn’t going to be in school that day. Emmett also ran faster as Victoria’s scent zig-zagged through the woods. The family was quickly closing in on Victoria but suddenly her scent changed directions and was now going towards the ocean. Yelling out profanities Edward ran in front of Jasper but stopped as he came to a cliff.

“DAMN!” the teen screamed.

“We need to get to Esme and the others quickly since that is where Victoria is going to be heading” Peter said as he looked at the turbulent water.

Carlisle pulled out his ringing phone and saw Esme’s number.

“Carlisle we need you here right now! Bella isn’t doing well and starting to go down hill” Esme whimpered.

“Where are you?” Carlisle asked.

“Right now we are on the side of the road” Esme answered.

“Hang on and we will find you” the vampire doctor replied as he hung up.

“Edward start running we will catch up to you. Follow Bella and Esme’s scent” the older vampire ordered.

The bronze haired vampire nodded as he took off running as fast as he could. Jasper also ran at full speed and easily kept up with Edward. Emmett, Peter and Carlisle brought up the rear. After a solid hour of running Edward found Esme and Rose. Charlotte was trying to get Bella to respond but the teen was barely breathing.

“Edward!” Esme cried out as she saw her son.

“How bad?” Edward gasped out.

She stopped screaming about 30 minutes ago and her breathing has gotten worse. I tried to get a pulse since she would still have one but I couldn’t” the vampire mother replied as Carlisle rushed to her side.

Rose carried Mike out of the car and laid him beside Bella on the ground. Both of the teens were silent and sweaty. Edward was starting to panic as Carlisle checked over the teens.

“I have never seen this before but they are changing faster than normal” the doctor announced.

“What?!” Alice gasped.

“They are almost done changing” the blond doctor answered.

Mike whimpered out and opened his eyes, which had turned red. He looked up at Edward in the full sunlight. The blond haired teen looked down at his own body and saw it glittering in the light.

“Mike…” Edward whispered.

“Edward……”Mike whimpered as he looked over at Bella.

Edward fell to his knees beside the blond and held him close. Mike growled as Carlisle touched Bella’s face. Surprised the doctor backed away from the female as Mike crawled over to her side.

“Bella……sweetheart open your eyes” Mike said softly.

Edward crawled up behind Mike and watched as the teen talked softly to Bella.

“Do we have any blood?” Mike asked.

“Here you go” Carlisle answered as he handed over a packet of reserve blood.

“Edward could you tear a small hole into the packet so that Bella can feed and wake up” the blond whispered.

Nodding Edward tore a hole into the packet and handed it back to Mike. The blond haired teen lifted Bella’s head into his lap and let the scent of the blood drift into the brunette’s body. Bella moaned and gasped as her red eyes flew open.

“Mike…Edward” the brunette whimpered.

“Hey sweetheart” Mike smiled.

“You’re all sparkly” Bella giggled.

“You are two” Edward teased.

“I have never seen two newborns so in control before, it is unnerving” Jasper said as he stood beside Alice.

“Sorry Jaz” Bella grinned.

Edward held both of the newborns close to him and nuzzled them. Mike purred and nuzzled Ed back. Bella picked up the blood packet and sniffed it. Making a face at the smell the brunette gulped down the blood.

“It takes a little getting use to” Rose smiled as she hugged Bella.

“It doesn’t taste as bad as I thought it would” the brunette replied as she hugged Rose back before nuzzling on Edward.

Edward handed Mike another packet of blood for the teen to drink. Mike smiled his thanks and drank the blood trying to not pay attention to the slurping sounds he made.

“We need to leave this area and try to track down Victoria” Peter said as he held his mate close.
