I woke the next morning to a Quite house. I opened my door to my room and looked out into the hall. No one was there. I walked down stairs and into the kitchen to find a note on the table.
“Good morning you father and I are off to work I left a news paper on the table see if you can find a job that is interesting. We won’t be home till six see you then.” I placed the note down and picked up the newspaper. I looked at it then placed it back down.
“Victoria.” I heard someone whisper my name. I looked up no one was there. I heard it again. It sound like it was coming from the living room. I followed it. Yet again my name was called. This time from behind a door in the living room. I opened it. There were stairs that lead down into the basement. I flipped the switch and began to go down the stairs.
When I reached the landing I heard my name again. I followed the strange voice all the way to the back of the basement. Where there was a door. A locked door. I took the key out of my pocket that I did not remember placing it in. I placed the key in the hole and even though it didn’t fit right the door still opened. The room was like a bad porno set. A crap bed and a TV and VCR set. Tapes were lined at the bottom of the VCR. Starting with the number 9 and ending in 16.
What were these? This didn’t feel right. I kept hearing crying in this room. But my curiosity was stronger than my fear. I picked up the tape labeled 9 and popped into the VCR. The first thing I saw was me laying in my bed in my room upstairs.
