Lizzy felt William’s warmth behind her and his arms around her when she woke, she could also feel a wetness between her legs that she knew to be her menses. Mortified to for such an occurrence to happen in Darcy’s presence she attempted to slip away from him in the bed, only to feel his arms tighten around her and for him to whisper, ‘And where are you going Elizabeth? We’re not finished yet.’
‘I thought you were still sleeping…I need to get up…perhaps you could look the other way?’
‘I’ve been waiting for you to wake up, so I can ravish you before returning to my room. Now, why do you need to get up and why I would I miss an opportunity to see you unclothed and glorious before me?’
‘William, please. It is too mortifying to speak off, but I need to wash…there is blood…’
‘Are you hurt, Lizzy?’
‘No, it is well…my menses. I must have lost track of the days, I normally not surprised by it,’ Lizzy replied anxiously not sure how William would respond to such information.
‘Oh is that all, well this is good news. There will be no little Darcys too early after the wedding then, but you seem upset, my love?’
‘I am mortified. I know men and women are not supposed to share a bed at such a time.’
‘That is nonsense Lizzy. You do not think such an event will keep me from your bed every month?’
‘I had not thought about it, I supposed we could still lie next to one another.’
‘We will do more than that Lizzy, a week is too long to go without your affections. It need not impede us.’
‘William, you cannot be in earnest!’
‘Very much so Lizzy, and if we didn’t have to be careful not to be caught this morning I would show you how very serious I am. I must leave you now and return to my room before the others are up,’ Darcy replied and kissed her softly on the mouth and trailed kisses down her neck.
‘I thought you were leaving William.’
‘I am, you tempting siren. I’m fortifying myself for breakfast with Caroline Bingley and her limitless interest in my comfort.’
‘I imagine she may not be so interested now William.’
‘I will not feel safe until we are married and far away at Pemberley.’
…………………….
‘Mr Darcy let me bring you, your coffee just how you like it.’
‘Are you sure you’ve had enough to eat Mr Darcy?
‘Is your room to your liking Mr Darcy?’
No, Caroline Bingley’s attentions to Mr Darcy were far from over, she was sure that after spending a few days in the company of the Bennets he would end his ridiculous engagement to that country chit, whom he had been making sickly sweet smiles at all morning; and in the meantime she would impress him with her excellent housekeeping and witty remarks.
Darcy drowned out Miss Bingley’s endless questions by thinking of his night with Lizzy and what an apt rider she had proved to be; it had been a long night of pleasure and he had revelled in being able to take their and try a variety of positions that a bed offered over the previous locations of their trysts.
….
After breakfast, the happy couples briefly walked in the gardens before Jane and Lizzy returned to Longbourne.
Walking behind her sister and Charles, Lizzy quietly said, ‘William, I am worried about Mr Wickham, Lydia seems to have taken a particular interest in him and is she silly enough for anything. Do you think he lack of dowry will keep her safe from harm?’
‘Is she not chaperoned?’
‘Yes, but Kitty is just as silly as Lydia and follows her directions.’
‘I think it would be best to speak to your father then. Wickham would not marry her, but that does not mean who will not attempt to seduce her. I know of several women who have been ruined by him - I should have warned your father before now.’
‘Yes, I think that would be wise, but William my father is not always a man of action….I would like to tell my mother some of Wickham’s true nature, not including the near elopement with Georgiana of course, but his debts and so on. If Mamma belives him to be a risk to seeing Lydia happily settled, she will keep her safe, for all her silliness, she does love us.’
Darcy pondered the problem for a moment, and replied, ‘I think you are right, Lizzy, but let us speak to your parents together. I will return in the carriage with you and Jane, Bingley may wish to come as well as he too will be Lydia’s brother soon.’
………..
‘Mr Darcy and Mr Bingley, how kind of you both to see Jane and Lizzy safely home. We were so worried last night when the storm began, but of course I was sure Miss Bingley would be most hospitable,’ gushed Mrs Bennet.
‘It was our pleasure for Jane and Miss Elizabeth to stay with us, ‘ replied a beaming Mr Bingley, making Darcy wonder if he too had paid his beloved a nocturnal visit.
‘Mr Bennet, there is a rather delicate matter I would like to discuss with you and Mrs Bennet, regarding your youngest daughter, Miss Lydia.’
‘Lydia? Oh Mr Darcy, what has happened?’ cried Mrs Bennet and began fluttering her many handkerchiefs.
‘Nothing yet Madam, hopefully we can prevent anything untoward. I understand from Elizabeth that Mr Wickham has told you and the rest of Meryton that I had dealt with him unfairly in the past, this is quite untrue.’
Darcy took a deep breath and continued, ‘’Mr Wickham is the son of a most respectable man, my father’s steward in fact and my own father was very fond of him and desired that a valuable family living would be his upon it becoming vacant. A few years after my father’s death, the living became vacant and I was prepared to honour my father’s wishes and grant it to Mr Wickham despite serious misgivings regarding his suitability for the church; however, Wickham declared an intention to study the law instead and was given £3000 in lieu of the living at his request.’
‘I believe the pertinent question Mr Darcy, is why you considered him unsuitable for the church?’ asked Mr Bennet.
‘Mr Wickham was quite wild during our time at Cambridge, particularly in regards to gambling, young women and running up debts beyond his means, and this had led me to believe him not to be a man I could trust with such a honourable duty, but it had my father’s wishes and I had hoped the position would sober him. However, shortly after Wickham refused the living and left for London the families of several young women approached me in various states of distress. He had promised them marriage, had seduced them and left more than one of them with child, at that time I cut all ties with Wickham, apart from supporting the children he had fathered; and when he approached me a few years later to be granted the living after all, he was denied. Believe me, when I tell you that Wickham will not marry Miss Lydia, but that would not stop him taking advantage of her youth and innocence.’
‘Oh Mr Darcy, this is most shocking! Oh Mr Bennet, how could you have allowed him in the house? I told you his was no good!’
Mr Bennet, used to his wife hysterics remained calm and replied calmly, ‘I thank you for this information and we shall act upon it. I believe my dear, it would be wise for Lydia and Kitty to retire from company, unless you are with them, and no more walks to Meryton while the militia remains in town.’
‘Oh yes, Mr Bennet,’ Mrs Bennet fervently agreed.
‘Mr Darcy, are you willing for this information to become public knowledge?’ Mr Bennet asked Darcy.
‘Yes, I should have done so before. I was too proud to make my actions public before, but I do not wish for Wickham to harm anyone else. Mrs Bennet, I trust you will make sure your neighbours know of his true nature, you may wish to warn the local merchants not to extend him any credit as well.’
‘Yes, Mr Darcy you can rely on me.’
‘I have no doubt, Madam.’
‘Well, this is most shocking Darcy, I had no idea he was so very bad,’ added Bingley and continued, ‘but shall we return to more mannered topics? I have been thinking of giving a ball to celebrate our engagements next week. You and Miss Elizabeth will be leaving straight after the wedding, so it will be our last chance to be together for a month or two at least. what say you, Darcy?’
Elizabeth had expected Darcy to protest, but to her surprise he smiled and replied, ‘Yes, I think that a very good idea Bingley.’
As Mrs Bennet and Mr Bingley happily began to plan the ball, Elizabeth looked up to find Darcy watching her with that dark look and felt a sense of foreboding of what that night might bring.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
The last week had passed quickly with wedding plans, social calls and dinners in honour of the engaged couples; and Elizabeth had been impressed with the effort Darcy had made to be amiable to her friends and neighbours, he was still reticent but much of his haughtiness had faded. The unveiling of Mr Wickham's lies had done much to redeem Mr Darcy in Meryton society as well proposing to Miss Elizabeth a local favourite; it was generally accepted that the fearsome Mr Darcy had been softened by love which unfortunately for him meant he had to listen to much more nonsense from the locals than he had on his previous visit to Hertfordshire.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
When Lizzy looked up from her dancing partner’s feet (she was hoping to save her toes from anymore painful stomps) at the Netherfield Ball in her and Jane’s honour, she found Darcy watching her from across the room, as he often did when they were apart. She had once thought he watched her because he disliked her intensely, but knew better now and tried not to blush too much as thoughts of their night at Netherfield flittered through her mind. Darcy noticed her blush and smiled at her knowingly.
Darcy had been teasing her all week, with heated looks and discreet touches while with others, and Lizzy worried she would soon lose her reputation for wit as she struggled to maintain her composure let alone think of clever remarks. In the past Lizzy had felt a strange frustrated feeling at times that had made her feel restless and she had normally soothed by long walks, but it was so much harder to ignore now she knew what happened between a man and woman and she craved time alone with William desperately; how strange, she thought to herself to be desperately craving a passionate night with Mr Darcy, when she had been so infuriated at the last Netherfield Ball to even have to dance with him.
Lizzy smiled demurely at her partner as their dance ended, and her arm was quickly reclaimed by Darcy who whispered to her as they walked into supper, ‘How beautiful you look this evening, Lizzy.’
‘Thank you, William.’
Once they were seated at a convenient distance from her mother, who Lizzy had lectured at length not to discuss her betrothed or Bingley’s wealth in company, Darcy asked very softly so he could not be overheard, ‘Have your courses finished now, dearest?’
Lizzy blushed to be asked such a question in public, but nodded anyway.
‘Good, because my patience is exhausted.’
‘It is not long until our wedding now, we will be together soon.’
‘I can hardly wait to be at Pemberley with you, my love, but that is not what I meant. I’m going to excuse myself in a moment to refresh myself, I want you to wait a moment and then meet me in the library.’
Lizzy simply stared at Darcy in shock, ‘William, we cannot here. We will be caught.’
‘It would not be the first time for us at Netherfield and I have the key for the library in my pocket, we will not be disturbed. I even have a spare cravat in my pocket, Lizzy. Please, dearest, I want you so badly. To feel you hot and wet around me and to hear you try to hold back your moans. Would you not like to be pleasured?’
‘William...’
‘I saw your blushes earlier, were you thinking of me? Of my kisses? Of how my fingers would stroke you until you screamed?’
‘Perhaps.’
‘I am going to excuse myself now, wait 5 minutes, speak to someone and then meet me in the library.’
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
Darcy was sitting in an armchair in the dark library when she joined him, ‘Lock the door behind you dearest and come here.’
Locking the door behind her, Lizzy crossed the room and boldly sat on Darcy’s lap rather than the chair beside him and said, ‘We cannot be long..’
‘We shall be very quick and very thorough, and you’ve started so well. You should always sit on my lap when we’re alone.’
‘A wonderful idea,’ Lizzy replied and kissed Darcy with all the passion she had been holding in the last week, ‘I’ve wanted you so much, I thought I might be consumed by it.’
‘Oh Lizzy, you don’t know how happy I am to hear you say so,’ replied Darcy and continued their kiss, and then trailed hot kisses down her neck, as his hands began squeezing and rubbing his way down her body.
‘Now be a good girl and straddle me,’ and holding her by the waist guided Lizzy until she straddled him face to face, ‘very good, indeed.’ And after tucking her front skirts into the ribbon of her dress, began softly stroking his way up her thighs until his hands found her hot and wet for him. ‘You make me so happy, my love. I wanted you so much at the last Netherfield Ball, I’d dreamt all week of asking you to dance and then we quarrelled, and now you’re here with me and so very wet for me as well. I can feel how much you’ve missed me.’
‘William, I can’t wait anymore, please.’
‘This will have to be fast, Lizzy,’ Darcy replied and unfastened his trousers, sat up straighter and pulled Lizzy closer by her hips so they could kiss with ease.
‘Guide me into you, Lizzy. Yes, that’s it. How hot and tight you are - I’ve thought of nothing else all night.’
Taking hold of her hips, with his head in the crook of Lizzy’s neck as she put her arms around him, Darcy asked, ‘Do you remember your riding lesson?’ And as Lizzy moved hesitantly against him, ‘That’s it, fuck yourself onto me.’
As Lizzy began to build up their speed, her moans became louder and louder and until Darcy chastised her teasingly, ‘Too loud, I see I’m going to need to use that extra cravat after all,’ and taking it from his pocket slipped into her mouth.
Keeping one hand on her hip to help her move with him, Darcy slipped his other hand up and began rubbing her clit slowly, ‘Do you like that Lizzy?’
‘Yes, oh faster William!’
Darcy slowly built up the speed of his fingers until he could feel Lizzy tightening around him, and asked, ‘Are you close, my love? I want to come with you.’
‘Yes, so close...’
‘Good, ‘ replied Darcy and moved his hips and hand faster against until her until Lizzy went still in his arms and he heard her muffled cry against his ear, and then he let himself go coming hard after a week’s frustration.
After cleaning up and straightening their clothes, Darcy bowed to Lizzy and said, ‘Now, I think you owe me a dance don’t you?
