Alrighty, here we go. Just some A/N then onto the Jasper/OMC smut! Alright first off, style='color:black'>Just so you know, some of my writing might seem like I'm ignorant of important places/characters/facts from the Novels but the thing is, it's the character's ignorance, not my own. And this fic goes out to two very special people over at imdb boards, EmpatheicLullaby and Bella_Swan. This one’s for you guys. And just like everyone else here, I’m writing for reviews. If you want the next chapter you’re going to have to review!!!
Prologue: Lonely Eyes
News travels fast. Even faster when concerning our very own Fork’s High celebrities, the Cullens. They’d been gone for months, seeming almost like a distant dream. All that was left of them were the thousand rumors explaining their sudden absence. But that’s high school for you, right? I wanted to ask that girl, Bella Swan, what ever happened to them, she was close with them. But I knew better than to ask, anyone could tell she was heartbroken. Mentioning them would do no good. Before we knew it, everyone stop whispering about them; The Cullens were gone that was all that mattered.
But of course things are never really gone, are they? It all started when Jessica Stanley started talking about seeing one of them. Coming from Jess, everyone thought it was another rumor. Some people even said it was as crazy as the rumors claiming the Cullen’s were a group of aliens trying to blend in with us. But then more people saw her, Alice. Apparently she had to talk to Bella. Before Jess found out anything else, they were gone. A couple days later, our whole school knew of the accident.
Once again this is all from Jess, so I’m not sure if I believe it myself. w:st="on">Alice took Bella to him, to Edward. Supposedly he was just as depressed as Bella, he left his family. According to Jess he ran to Italy, to a small town. I can’t remember the name, some place I’ve never heard of. Jess said Edward was in a dark place, about to do something bad. Bella tried to race to stop it, band barley made it. Just as they were heading towards the airport, something happened. No one really knows what, but something terrible happened in that place. All we really know is that they’re gone, and they’ll never be back.
But once again, things never really are gone. The Cullen’s moved back into town, well some of them, Rosalie and Emmet are still at college. So I guess only Jasper’s back. I feel bad for him though. He’s been back to school one day, and people are staring at him like he’s a circus freak. I mean people have always stared at the Cullen’s, but he just lost two people he loves. Has no one looked into this boy’s eyes?
It’s hard to do, but if anyone can muster the courage they’ll see everything. He’s trying to hide away his pain, pretend he doesn’t feel anything. And he’s doing a good job at it. His blank face, his motionless body. He hasn’t said a word all day. It would seem like any other Cullen experience. Just another ordinary day, unless you had the courage to look him in the eyes. The same golden hue as the rest of the family, but at the same time completely different. Usually as emotionless as the rest of their being, his eyes stood out today, they were different. For the first time I could see emotion in a Cullen. As I looked at him, all I could see was loneliness reflecting back at me.
I wanted to go talk to him, and was about to, but then I heard her. Jess was making her rounds, walking from table to table in the cafeteria gossiping. Unfortunately, it was my turn to hear her. She sat across from me, blocking my view of Jasper. She was already getting on my nerves.
“Hey Jayden!”
“Hi.”
Why me? What did I do to deserve this?
“So I’m sure you’ve heard about the recent tragedy…”
Of course I’ve heard, you’re the one who told me.
“Well,” She continued. “I was talking to some people, and we’ve decided to have a small get together. You know, so we can all mourn the losses together.”
She started to cry. Jess was actually crying.
“I mean it’s not everyday we lose some of our best friends.” She said through sobs.
“Yeah, you’re right.” As much as I disliked Jess, she had a point. Some group grieving might help some people. A lot of people seemed pretty banged up about it… Like Jasper.
“It’s going to be at Lauren Mallory’s house tonight at about eight.” She began to get up. “I really hope you can make it.”
“Wait Jess.” I called after her. “What about… him?”
I nodded my head towards Jasper, but I didn’t need to. Jess already knew exactly who I was talking about. For once Jess was speechless, she didn’t have the answer I wanted.
“I don’t know if we should…” She paused. “I mean I’m sure it’s already hard enough for him.”
“Maybe…” But what if he knew people were worried about him? That I was worried about him? Would that help? “I’ll see you tonight.”
“Yeah, see you then.”
As quick as Jessica had shown up, she was gone. She was halfway on her way to another table, but I could still hear her voice. But that didn’t matter to me anymore, my eyes instinctively found their way back to him. He remained sitting still, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. It was actually becoming hard to watch his pain. I had to do something.
Without thinking, I was out of my chair walking towards him. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Jessica stop mid sentence, watching me. More eyes followed hers as I continued to walk towards Jasper. I could hear hushed whispers but I didn’t care, I knew I was doing the right thing. Half-way there, no turning back now.
That’s when it happened. For the first time all day, Jasper Hale looked up. His golden eyes pierced through me, the pain stronger than I had ever imagined. I stood there, dead in my tracks. Jasper just looked at me, sitting about twenty feet away. As I stood there, something strange happened. The pain I had been feeling started to diminish, being replaced by something different. It’s hard to explain, but it was almost like an extreme calming sensation shot through my body.
I finally regained my nerve to talk to him. I lifted my foot in an attempt to start walking again, but it was all in vain. The bell had just rang, sounding the end of lunch. I blinked, and Jasper was gone. Before I knew it, I was standing in the cafeteria alone. I couldn’t believe it, how did Jasper get out of here so quickly? I tried looking for him the rest of the day, but our only class together was in the morning. I even looked for his car at the end of the day; it was almost as if it had never been parked three spots away from my own.
I guess I’d just have to talk to him the next day. I had already told Jessica I’d come tonight and I’ve learnt the hard way that you don’t break plans with Jessica. But I know one thing for class=GramE>sure, I’d have those golden eyes on my mind all night.

Alright there you go. Just give it a chance, and I promise you you'll love it. I'm telling you. Just keep reviewing...
