Summary: A gorgeous blonde comes to town and Edward feels like his nose is going to twitch right off and bounce along after the yummy goodness. This story will contain boys love, just because it’s the best. That means there will be boy on boy action. So, if you aren’t down with this kind of thing, then please, move on to another story that better suits your refined tastes. This story will also contain some strong language here and there. There will also be some explicit scenes of violence as well. So, sit back and enjoy the ride. Pay no attention to the bumps. They’re just random people being smashed along the road toward greater things. Oh, damn! I just hit a vampire. Shoot! He was sexy, too.
Prologue
Edward Cullen was sitting in class on an extremely boring Friday morning. The sky was cloudy and it was pouring the rain again. He had his stunning pale face resting on his desk when his perfect nose twitched in mild surprise. He ever so slowly raised his head up off his alabaster arms, looking to the front of the class with vibrant topaz eyes.
There was a young man standing at the teacher’s desk with his back to everyone. The guy had a wicked mane of wild looking blonde curls. He looked to be about average height, for a guy.
He watched the teacher rise from his cluttered desk and called out in an authoritative voice that everyone needed to shut up and pay attention to what he was about to say.
“Everyone, this is David Thorn,” Mr. White said, holding out his hand like he was presenting the guy to be auctioned off to the highest bidder. “Please make him feel welcomed.”
Edward’s eyes slightly widened with real surprise when the blonde turned around to face the class. It was like the world had suddenly begun to move in slow motion. Why did the ticking of the clock suddenly sound so very loud in is ultra sensitive ears?
David Thorn was beautiful. There was no debate about it. His skin was the color of warm amber honey and looked smooth as butter. He possessed eyes that were most alluring. They were the color of moonlight on the ocean’s waters.
“There is an empty seat in front of Edward, David,” Mr. White told him, pointing to one of the many empty seats in the classroom. “Why don’t you sit there and I’ll assign you a textbook shortly.”
David nodded with a Crest white smile and walked to the back of the class where the empty seat was. Edward was gripping his knees, digging his glossy nails into his jeans as hard as he could. He had to stay calm. There was to be no pouncing in class. What would the teacher think?
What the hell are you? He mentally hissed at the approaching blonde. You smell too good! Go away!
“Hi,” David said, taking the seat, turning around in it to offer him his hand to shake. “It’s nice to meet you, Edward.”
Molten topaz eyes glared at the shapely hand being offered him, and he fought not to snap at it with razor sharp fangs that were beginning to slide down. He kept very still in a restrained manner. The blonde smelled sweeter than apple blossoms and he was terrified that his mouth was going to start watering.
“Whatever,” David said and he rolled his eyes. He turned back around in his seat so that he was now facing the front of the classroom.
Edward blinked. Did he just say whatever?
He ignored the snickering and the wanton looks he was receiving from the opposite gender. They thought him icing the blonde had been super funny. It was the typical Edward Cullen thing to do. He was cold, untouchable, and all the ladies wanted him because he was drop drawers gorgeous. The mirror at home always told him so.
The blonde’s scent was really starting to drive him over the edge. He had to leave. He couldn’t stay in this room with him for another second.
“Sir,” he called out, raising his smooth alabaster hand. “I think I’m going to be sick.”
He took a slight second to notice how the blonde in front of his stiffened as if insulted.
“Huh?” Mr. White asked, looking up from his desk. “Are you ill, Edward?”
He was suddenly on his feet and out the door before anyone could say another word. He had to get some fresh air and cool off. Ha! Cool off…that’s funny!
“Crap!” He snarled, dodging patches of sunlight that beamed from out of nowhere. That was all he needed. “I knew I should’ve stayed home today.”
He watched the blonde from a careful distance all day long. The guy was friendly, but, he was quiet, too quiet to be healthy for a human with such good looks. Finally, he couldn’t handle it anymore. He had to talk to the yummy smelling mortal.
“Hi,” he said, walking up to the table, giving him a small salute.
“So you do speak,” the blonde said, looking at him with what Edward had thought to be blue eyes. They were a deep ocean green now. Did they change colors?
“Eh,” he said, taking a seat across from him. “I was half asleep and not feeling well.”
The blonde nodded, picking up something. “Apple?”
Edward cocked a dark brow.
“Rumor has it they keep the doctors away,” he said, holding it out for him to take.
Edward smirked, taking the apple from him. Why did he suddenly picture a garden and a pretty snake?
“I don’t care for apples,” Edward said, looking his gift over. “But, it is very red.”
“Well, you touched it,” David smiled. “It’s yours now.”
The apple was the color of deepest crimson and Edward imagined that it was beating in his palm like a human’s heart. He wondered if he would taste blood should he bite into it.
“So,” the blonde said, holding out his hand again. “I’m David Thorn.”
“I know who you are,” Edward told him, matching the white smile with his own. It was awesome for he was made of awesome. Everyone told him so. He took the blonde’s slightly smaller hand in his own, giving a firm shake. It was so warm. “I’m Edward Cullen.”
“It was such a pleasure being snubbed by you earlier,” David said, looking at the hand that was still holding his.
“The pleasure was and is still all mine,” Edward said, letting the blonde’s hand go free, wondering if he took notice of how cold his hand was. David’s hand had been so warm and smooth, like honey in the sunshine. “What do you think of our school?”
David shrugged, looking around. “The people are nice…”
“Then why are you sitting by yourself?” Edward asked him.
“I’m not sitting by myself,” he said. “You’re here.”
Edward chuckled. It was like musical notes. It was like molten silver starlight passing between his garnet carved lips. He decided he liked this human. He was funny.
“You know what I mean,” Edward said, eyeing some whispering girls that kept gazing over at him from the corners of their nosy eyes.
“I’m new here,” David told him, turning to look out at the rain that was now pouring down from the gray sky again. “Small town folk don’t like change.”
Edward kept his enchanting face blank. Yep, that was Forks.
“Why are you talking to me anyway?” David asked him, turning to eye the girls, too. “Surely someone such as yourself has a ton of friends who can’t keep their hands off you.”
Edward laughed. He actually laughed. It shocked the hell out of him. This human who smelled like a breathing paradise made up of apple orchards had actually made him laugh out loud. He looked to see that his sister Alice and his brother Jasper were looking over at him from their table in slight shock. He gave them a fanged grin.
“Yeah,” he lied, turning back to him. “I broke the stick I used to beat them all off me with the other day.”
“Pity,” David said, leaning back in his seat. “It’s too bad I forgot to bring the stick I use to poke the mountain lions with at the zoo. I’d have let you borrow it.”
Edward schooled his face. Mountain lions? They were so yummy and tasty, too.
“David Thorn!” A loud voice announced over the loud speakers. “Please report to the school office, thank you!”
“Ah,” Edward said, grinning now. “What did you do?”
David sighed, getting to his feet with a lazy grace. “I kicked a puppy.”
Edward blinked. “You’re evil.”
“Yeah,” he said, turning to stroll off. “I guess I’ll see you around, Ed.”
Ed? His right eye twitched. He watched the blonde vanish and gazed at the juicy red apple in his hand. It was so odd. He couldn’t read David like he could everybody else. It was like there had been no yummy smelling boy in front of him at all.
Oh, the smell! He muffled a moan of drowning, suffocating want. He caught himself longing to sink his teeth into the blonde’s smooth neck.
He got up and left. He needed some fresh air again. The guy was a yummy temptation. He wanted to sniff and drink all of him in until he had to use a straw to get at what was left.
“Stay away from him,” a voice whispered to him. It was Alice. She must be whispering just for him. “I saw the blood in your eyes.”
“I’m fine,” he hissed to nobody as he walked down the deserted hall. “I’m in control.”
“Of course you are,” she teetered. “Ed.”
He was so going to try and give her frizzy hair. That was when he spotted David. The guy looked like he was lost.
“I bet you couldn’t find your way out of a walk-in closet,” he said, staying some feet away from him. “The office is that way.”
“Right,” David said, nodding his head in appreciation. “I just got turned around. Thanks, Ed.”
“My name is Edward,” he said in a dark tone, glaring topaz daggers at him. “And would you like a ride home after school?”
“Sure,” David said, putting his hands on his narrow hips. “How can I refuse an offer when it’s being voiced like that?”
Edward nodded. “I’ll catch you outside then.”
“David Thorn!” The school secretary’s voice repeated over the loud speakers. “Where are you? You’re still in the building, aren’t you?”
“Gotta go,” David said, taking off like the wind.
Edward watched how that mane of wild curls caught the light. David’s hair seemed to shimmer like molten wisps of golden sunlight.
Hmm, I can’t read his mind, he smells way too damn good, and his hair is very nice, too. I do so like the shiny.
“His last name is Thorn, huh?” A voice asked from beside him. It was Alice. “Has my little Ed gotten himself pricked?”
He snarled and did his best to mess up her flawless hair. His efforts only succeeded in doing one thing. They made her laugh.
TBC…
Please review and tell me what you think. I just finished Reading Twilight…and in all honesty…I don’t know what to think about it. I have mixed feelings. Well, it was a good read and filled with cute moments. I think the glitter part was my favorite. But, Edward is a vampire. So, he is bisexual in my world. I’m going to go cackle evilly at a safe distance.
