Summary: Bella gets pregnant with Edward’s baby just before he leaves her in New Moon. Now, seventeen years later, Bella is married to Jacob and her son Draven is seventeen. What happens when the Cullen’s start school with Draven in their new home?
Author’s Note: I’m reading Breaking Dawn at the moment, and this disregards that, and the second half of New Moon. In this, Draven is half vampire but he is a bit different. His skin is hard as rock and he has extra strength and speed, his eyes are a natural color but he doesn’t need blood…yet.
He aged normally, so this is set seventeen years later, but Bella IS a vampire, that will be explained now…

Chapter 1
School Daze
It always rains here; mom said that she lived in a place like this before I was born, a place just as wet, but on the other side of the country, a place called Forks, Washington. Now we live in a little town at the base of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, probably the other wettest place in America. It rains here all the time, but that’s good for us, and there are a lot of forests around which are also good for mom and my stepfather Jacob.
I’m Draven Cullen Black. DC for short. I never knew my father but I’m told that I look exactly like him and that I even have the same color eyes he had while he was human. Green. I’m half vampire, half human, that’s because my mother was human when I was conceived and my father was a vampire. When I was born…well…somehow my birth turned her into a vampire, we aren’t really sure why, but it happened. My stepfather Jacob is okay with that though, he’s a werewolf so it’s all good. The three of us go hunting together quite often.
I just recently turned seventeen, and today is the first day of my junior year. All summer my friends were talking about how there are going to be new students at the school, two of them are going to be in my grade, the other three are going to be seniors, and they are apparently the foster kids of some doctor who is working at the local clinic.
My bag was slung over my shoulder as I trudged my way through the drizzle, towards the school in the distance. Mom and dad had been acting as my sister and adopted brother (a vampire friend had been acting as our father), and they had graduated two years before. So now, here I was, all alone at school with only two real friends, Tom (A short kid who studied way too much), and Lucia (the resident goth girl).
At the moment I was dressed in baggy black pants, I had a black t-shirt with a red fishnet shirt under it. Lucia may have been the resident class=SpellE>goth girl, but I was the resident class=SpellE>goth boy, it fit though, what with my pail complexion.
I hadn’t even gotten to the parking lot when Tom ran up to me.
“Dude, the new kid looks just like you.”
I frowned, my eyebrows furrowing.
“What do you mean?”
“Check it out Dray.”
Lucia had joined us and she handed me her phone, there was a picture of a guy who looked just like me, and yet was my opposite in every way.
“Who is he?”
“One of the new guys. Edward Cullen.”
My heart started pounding at a human rate in my chest, proof that I was about to panic. Edward Cullen, my father? My mother’s long lost love? Edward Cullen had come style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>here.
“Well…I’m sure it’s just a coincidence, after all, they say everyone has a look alike out there.”
“Who says that?”
I scowled at Tom.
“I don’t know Thomas, they do, the ominous style='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>they. Don’t rag me kid I’m freaking out enough as it is.”
I made my way through the halls, sneaking through the shadows until I could get to home room. From there I stuck to the shadows until I got to English. I sat down in the back, silent and preoccupied with trying to get a hold of either my mom or Jake, but the two were probably out in the forest doing something that I would rather not think about.
“Edward? I didn’t know I had class with you…wait…why did you change out of the clothes I picked out for you and why are you wearing clothes like…that...?”
I looked up, my heart beat reaching a human pace again. I pulled the girl down and covered his mouth.
“I’m not Edward. My name is Draven Black.”
Her eyes widened.
“How did I not see this coming?”
So that would make her Alice then.
“Don’t know. I’ve been trying to get a hold of my parents since I found out that you guys were the new students.”
“Care to explain a few things for me then.”
I winced.
“Isabella Swan is my mother; she was pregnant with me when dad left. After I was born she married Jacob Black and a few years ago we moved here. Look, there isn’t much to tell, my dad left my mom and I was born nine months later, end of story.”
“Mr. Black, please refrain from flirting with the girls while in my class.”
I winced.
“Sorry sir.”
I sat back, sinking down into my seat and just praying the day would be over.
I didn’t see my dad until lunch, I was standing outside, trying to get a better signal and hoping that my parents would pick up their phones. I jumped when a hand touched my shoulder.
“Alice! Don’t’ do that!”
I scowled as she laughed a pixie like laugh before pulling me to a bench against the school, away from prying eyes.
“I told the others, they will be here soon, it’s good we all have first lunch.”
My heart was pounding again and I looked down as I saw the class=SpellE>Cullens approach out of the corner of my eye. My fists clenches as they rested on my knees, my jaw tightening.
“You said you had someone for us to meet Alice.”
A blond boy moved to Alice and wrapped his arms around her. She giggled lightly before reaching out and grabbing my arm, pulling me into a standing position. I was still looking down, hoping that my hood would cover my face.
“Everyone, meet Draven Black…or should I say…Draven Cullen.”
“What?”
A big guy with curly black hair stepped forward, one eyebrow raised.
“Tell them the story you told me Draven.”
I winced, glad that they had still not seen my face.
“Eighteen years ago…my mother became pregnant with me, but something happened and my father and his family left. My mother is Isabella Swan, though she goes by Bella Black now.”
I looked let my hood fall and looked up slowly, my green eyes finding the golden eyes of my father. Edward took a few steps back, shock clear in his topaz eyes.
“Mom was a few weeks pregnant when you guys left. After I was born…somehow it made her a vampire, we still aren’t sure how or why. After that she married Jacob Black. We moved out here a few years ago so questions wouldn’t be asked about them not aging.”
I bit my lip, getting ready for the barrage of questions.
“So Jacob Black became a wolf then?”
I nodded and jumped when my hip vibrated. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked down at it.
“It’s my mom.”
I didn’t have a chance to answer it because Edward had yanked the phone out of my hand and was several feet away in an instant, talking quickly. I raised an eyebrow before leaning against the hard wall of the school.
“So, anyone up for ditching?”
I looked up at the others, watching them nod. I nodded myself and took a deep breath.
“Good, I never really liked this place anyway.”
Edward came over to me, and it was clear that he was doing everything he could not to break my phone as he handed it to me. I shoved it into my pocket and gasped as I was engulfed in a tight hug. I patted my father’s back.
“Only…half vampire here…can’t…breathe.”
He let me go quickly and I started taking in deep gulps of breath.
“Well then, shall we go, your mother is worried about the trauma that this event is causing on you.”
That sounds just like her. I slipped my bag over my shoulder and nodded before heading into the forest, it was the fastest way to school. I ran at half the speed of a vampire, still too fast for human eyes to see more than a blur, but nowhere near as fast as a vampire. We arrived at home in two minutes and I was tackled to the side.
“You okay cub?!”
“What is it with the painful hugs today? I’m fine dad…um…Jake…”
He pulled away from the man who had been my father for the last seventeen years, wincing at the pain on his face.
“How’s mom?”
Jake winced this time. “She’s been better. She’s freaking out.”
I winced again and headed inside the house, followed by Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, and Emmett, Jake had stopped my father outside the door and was growling something to him, probably that he had lost out and that mom was his wife now.
I threw my bag into my room and headed into the kitchen. Mom was always in the kitchen when she was freaking out, always cleaning, I winced when I saw my grandfather figure trying to keep her from scrubbing a whole into the table.
“Mom?”
My mother ran over to me and pulled me into her arms.
“He didn’t hurt you did he?”
“Just a bruising hug, but other than that…” I didn’t get to finish because she was out of the room and into the living room with the others. I turned to my ‘father’ (at least that was the story we were sticking with), Gabriel.
“This is going to change everything isn’t it?”
Gabriel came over to me and wrapped his arms around me. “Yes little one, it is.”
I winced and ran from Gabe’s arms up to my room and shut the door, I needed some alone time at the moment or else I was going to lose my mind. I pushed the button of my stereo and sighed softly as music filled the small room. I opened my window, letting in the cool air and sitting on the window seat. I did this whenever I needed time to think, whenever things seemed to get a bit…complicated.
My eyes started drooping and I moved from the window seat to my bed, my eyes fell closed and I couldn’t stay awake. I had only enough time to kick off my boots before my dreams took me.
