“Cliff?”
“What?” Tucker winced slightly at the mild annoyance in the other male’s tone.
“Why are we following this kid?” The blonde was glad when he succeeded in sounding unconcerned, merely inquiring. He didn’t want to further annoy Cliff, but. . .he also wanted an answer to the question that had entered his mind some time ago.
“Things have been boring lately. I’ve never seen him around, so I thought it’d be nice to” the brunette paused, exchanging a knowing look with the dark haired man next to him, confusing Tuck, “make friends with him.”
Studying the faces of his two companions as best he could from his place behind them, Tuck took in the smirks they were wearing. He had a bad feeling about this. A lot of the things Cliff did didn‘t seem right to Tucker, but he had learned to keep his thoughts to himself. The brunette wasn‘t a very nice person, though he could put on a good front when he wanted.
Everyone in their neighborhood, back in Oil City, knew that Cliff and Jesse were trouble. It was whispered by some that they'd been nicer people in their school days, but somewhere along the way, they’d changed. The brown eyed boy hadn’t realized how bully-like they were, until after a week or so of knowing them. Now Tuck been apart of their group for the last month & a half, and made sure to stay occupied with his summer job so he’d have an excuse not to hang out with them as often.
And -though he didn't broadcast it to his 'friends'- Tucker had been looking into college. Saving money up, pinching pennies, working overtime if possible. Mainly fueled by his desire to get away from the bad crowd he found himself a part of as well as his parents, who had never shown much interest in him and were now hinting that he should move out. He’d already applied at a few places and was waiting for a reply.
Having lost himself in his thoughts, keeping watch on the two pairs of shoes in front him as he moved, Tuck didn’t know how long they’d been walking. He let his brown eyes wander over the surrounding trees, gasping softly when he caught sight of a dark haired figure at the bottom of the small hill they were on. Maybe a dozen and a half feet away.
Before he could think or worry more Cliff and Jesse continued, not trying to hide behind trees or stay a good unnoticeable distance away. The blonde knew what that meant; they were going for the kill. Figuratively. Tuck realized that he’d stop walking and hurried to catch up, though he now had a really bad feeling about this.
Why hadn’t he stayed home today? Oh yeah, his parents. Now, more than ever, he wished he could just disappear from the scene of this likely mess-to-be. But he was afraid. Cliff could be mean and if Tucker backed out now, he didn’t want to think of what the brunette might do.
They stopped a good five feet behind the unsuspecting boy, who seemed lost in his thoughts and completely unaware that he wasn’t alone. Worried brown eyes riveted on the short and slender form of the dark haired boy before them, unsure of what was going to happen. Tuck watched as Cliff took a step forward, Jesse not moving with him but crossing his arms over his chest and fixing his eyes on what Tuck was sure they considered their target, not their future-friend. “Why, look what we got here.”
The boy whirled around, his eyes widening as a look of surprise passed over his attractive face. His gaze darted over the three of them, his stance tense, worry almost visibly sinking into his bones. Tucker shared his worry -even if he was being viewed by the boy as part of the danger- for he was afraid where Cliff and Jesse were going with this. It couldn’t be good.

Okay, I know there are some diehard Twilight fans out there, who don’t like things to be different or changed in stories, but guess what, I’m doing it. This is my story, with the majority of the characters being my own OCs. I only put this in the Twilight section, because it takes place in the Twilight universe (for the most part), and a few of Meyer’s characters are in here as minor characters. Honestly, they are here for a tiny bit in the beginning and in the end. So lots of OC-ness, and maybe a bit AU, since I did my own thing with the Twilight universe.
Also, I named it Eden’s Eclipse, because firstly, I will admit; I like the alliteration xD Secondly, this is set in the Twilight universe (sort of), and when I couldn’t figure out a name, I just went with it. And thirdly, in the book Eclipse, as said on Wiki; ‘Bella must choose between her love for the vampire Edward Cullen, and her friendship/love with the werewolf Jacob Black.’
In my story, there are choices, friendships, and love. There is also some fighting, which mostly occurred in Eclipse (with the new vampires and Victoria), more than any other books in the Twilight saga. So, that’s mainly my reasons for going with this title. I like it well enough to use it *shrugsmile*
