Disclaimer: I do not own Peter Pan, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story. |
Summery: The war between Peter and Hook ensues, but the pirate captain aims to capture Pan for his own means. Based mostly off the book, but with a GenderSwitch. Girl!Peter. AU. Oneshot for now.
Warnings: My Ctrl button isnt working so here is the rest of the warnings that should have been with the summery: AU, D/s, Minor.
Rated: M for childish ignorance that leads to adult situations
Author's Note: In this story, Peter is at the age where she hits puberty. Since this is different for each girl, feel free to imagine her between the ages of 12 and 16. While writing this, I pictured her to be about 16. She is referred to as a girl because to a 40-year-old Hook, anyone under the age of 20 is a kid.
Also, for some clarification, the whole Wendy and Peter thing in this story is not "girl likes boy" gone lesbian. It's Peter finding her first friend she can really relate to besides Tinker Bell. Naturally, in young children this appears to adults to be almost an obsession, innocent though it is, which was what I was trying to portray.
The Power of a Memory
~Dhalim
Prologue
Everyone in the underground hideout waited with apprehension for the battle above to subside. All except Peter who was simply gazing at the ceiling with interest. This, like everything else, was a game to her. If the Pirates won, she and her lost boys would jump out and engage them in epic battle, but if the redskins won, their debt to the young girl would be paid and they would all be able to go back to being enemies again. Of course, to Peter, enemies were those who tried to kill them in retaliation to their tormenting, so it was a win/win situation.
The last of they dying cries faded away and the group asked aloud the most important question: Who won? All heads turned imploringly to Peter.
"If the redskins have won," she invented matter-of-factly, unaware that they had eavesdroppers, "they will beat the tom-tom; it is always their sign of victory."
A few moments later, the distinct beat of the tom-tom reached their ears and she cried out, "The tom-tom! An Indian victory!" Her elation was short-lived, however, as the other children repeated their goodbyes and moved toward their personal trees. Refusing to let herself be depressed over her friends' betrayal, Peter played on her pipes for several minutes before getting board, and went to sleep, deliberately not taking her medicine to spite her ex-friend.
Story
Once the rest of his crew drug the lost boys and their mother away, Captain Hook slid cautiously down the tree shaft, tensing as he got to the bottom in case he was met by an armed Pan. When no such thing happened, he straitened up quietly and blinked into the gloom.
As he had suspected, the underground hideout was a single room, complete with a fireplace, a large bed, and random items covering the floor that must have some purpose for the delusional children who lived there. The bed was where the captain fixed his gaze. A young girl was sprawled on top, her fairy-like leafy clothing stretched revealingly across her upper thighs, arms carelessly brought above her head of wildly kept hair. In spite of himself, Hook was struck by how… tame she looked in her sleep.
He, of course, knew this to be a lie. Peter Pan was far from tame, and her wildness was the bane of his existence. This was the first time the girl was truly at his mercy and he planned to take advantage of it. He wasn't going to do anything while she slept for that would be bad form, but he was certainly going to level the playing field a bit. Years of her flying circles around him and his crew allowed him that much. Taking out the last of the rope that had been used to tie up the other children, Hook stealthily climbed onto the bed and straddled Peter, careful not to touch her. While he daftly disarmed the sleeping girl and tied her hands to the head board, a mothers touch if he ever saw one, he leaned forward and gave Peter a gentle kiss on the cheek, moving slowly to her neck and down to her collar bone.
In her sleep, Peter sighed and mumbled something before her arms were jerked taught of their own accord and her eyes snapped open. She immediately began to struggle against the bonds, causing the captain to sit up and look down at the girl under him.
Pan's eyes widened in recognition. "Hook!" she exclaimed, momentarily forgetting to work on escaping.
"Petronella! You're awake!"
"My name is Peter," she snarled, fully convinced of it.
"It's called a nickname, my dear," the captain informed her, climbing off in order to take off his shoes and unbutton his shirt. "Just as I go by either Captain or Hook, you go by Peter. But rest assured, your true name is Petronella. Even ask your fairy friend, next time you see her."
Freed from the grown man baring down on her, Peter rose into the air, the only bit of flying her restraints allowed, and flipped around, pulling against them with all her might, twisting and swinging in the air to try to pull at a better angle.
"That will only tighten the knots," Hook informed her calmly, now sliding off the shirt and letting it slip to the floor.
It was only then that Peter noticed the captain's unusual behavior and floated upside down to get a good look at him. Why wasn't he trying to kill her? "What are you doing?" she asked, unsure of what to make of it.
"I'm going to teach you a new game," he answered, sitting down on the bed next to her, eyes level with her crossed legs and he couldn't help but notice how her outfit only covered about half her ass when she sat down and that she wasn't wearing anything underneath.
"A game?" Peter asked suspiciously. She didn't know grown-ups, let alone pirate captains, knew how to play games. "What kind of game?" In spite of herself, she was interested.
"It's a grown up game," Hook responded coyly.
"How do you play?" Peter pressed in ignorance. A grown-up game! Of course, once she knew how to play, she would change the rules and make it her own game without giving any credit to the originator, but the pirate didn't need to know that.
"I do what I was doing before. You liked it, didn't you?"
"You mean when you were giving me thimbles?" the girl asked carelessly. She shrugged. "I guess. It felt good."
Hook ignored the girl's name for a kiss. No doubt somewhere down the line she got it into her head that that was what they were called and correcting her wouldn't help him at the moment. Right now what he needed was patience. "Good. It was supposed to. And when we play the game some more, I'll be able to show you other things that feel good. Alright?"
Still floating upside down, Peter considered the proposition. Yes, the captain might be teaching her a new game, but there was still the chance that he would try to kill her when she wasn't paying attention. Therefore, she thought it wise to cover her tracks. "Only if you swear you wont do anything other than follow the rules of the game," she amended crossly. "I mean it, Hook. No trying to kill me." It never occurred to her that the rules could possibly include injury to her person, or that he might break the rules all together.
"Oh, Petronella."
"My name is Peter!" she insisted.
Ignoring the interruption, Hook mockingly drew an X over his heart with a finger, "I swear I wont try to kill you while we play the game."
With that said, Peter nodded trustingly and flipped right side up, floating a few inches above the bed. "Okay, now what?"
"You need to be laying down to play," Hook told her with as much patience in his voice as he could muster.
Immediately, Peter preformed several acrobatic twists and flips to unwind the rope around her wrists, at last stretching out above the bed on her back, a grin on her face. She was beginning to like this game.
Losing patience with the girl's inability to take anything seriously, the captain pushed her down to the bed with a hand on her lower abdomen, and gave her an aggressive kiss on the lips, his tongue forcing it's way into her mouth. At first, Peter was startled, but then Hook's left hand touched her waist and slid up to feel her breast through the leaves covering it, making her gasp at the new sensations he was giving her.
His mouth worked its way down her neck as it had before, and his hand slid into the crevice between her breasts before going higher to the edge of the leaves covering them. With a quick slice of his hook, he was able to tear all the way down the wrap so that she was suddenly naked in front of him.
Peter stared wide-eyed up at the man, unease slowly trickling into her mind from an unknown source, the pleasure she had been feeling up till now quickly draining. She was usually comfortable with being naked, sharing very little of the fairy modesty she had been raised with, but now she was fighting the urge to curl up and hide herself.
Hook straddled her once again, his body suspended just above hers so she could feel the heat radiating off him, but when he leaned down for another kiss, Peter floated ever so slightly off the bed again and started to wiggle away. "No, I don't like this game."
A large weight collapsed on top of her, pinning her down by the legs and a moment later something cold and sharp was pressed against her throat, the captain's face leering at her, and Peter herself frozen by how unfair the entire situation was. Hook had promised not to kill her; this shouldn't be happening.
The man leaned forward again, his hand moving to massage the mound between her legs while he whispered in her ear, "You are going to play, Peter Pan," and nibbled gently on her earlobe. Peter, too innocent to guard against such feelings, could only moan softly as her will power melted into pure instinct and she arched into him, turning her head so he could continue suckling on her ear, her arms straining against the bonds for a completely new reason.
Somewhere during her first climax, she forgot how she had gotten there, how reluctant she had been mere minutes before. The only thing she knew to be true was the overwhelming feelings Captain Hook gave her. Peter lay before him, chest heaving as waves after shock coursed through her and she gazed up at him through a haze. Before she could see clearly again, he started over, his mouth latching onto a breast while he finished undressing himself. A knee pushed between her legs and she instinctively opened for him. Without hesitation, he thrust into her, making her gasp sharply with pain and jerk again against the rope holding her arms above her head. When the pain died, a new level of pleasure was added and she let out a shuddering yell as she hit her second climax, Hook collapsing on top of her a moment later.
While Peter recovered her energy, Hook, who already had experience in the matter, stood up, albeit shakily, cleaned himself off, and preceded to get dressed. After everything was in the same place it had been when he had climbed down the tree, he looked down at the girl still lying on the bed. Her eyes had regained their intelligence and she was watching him intently, still oblivious as to what she had just given up. When the two locked eyes, Peter gave a shudder and gasped, throwing her head back and thrusting her hips against an invisible hand until she reached her third orgasm. Hook watched this with great interest. The girl was known to have an over-active imagination, but he never imagined that could include having sex now that she knew what it was, even if it wasn't by name. He grinned wickedly at the collapsed girl whose eyes were still fluttering. His plan might go even better than he thought.
Peter gazed strait ahead, relaxed, but unmoving. She wasn't able to bend her leg to shift positions, nor was she able to let her eyes wander to the pirate captain, for doing either reminded her of her latest adventure so that she couldn't help but shamelessly relive every moment. There was a sudden flurry of movement and Peter's eyes flicked interestedly to Hook, who was now bending over her, fiddling with the rope still around her hands. His nearness triggered another memory of a few minutes ago and her lips parted lustily of their own accord.
Wrists still bound together, she was freed from the headboard and pulled up by an arm. Feeling unusually heavy limbed, Peter stood and blinked stupidly as the captain brought her arms above her head once again and tied the other end of the rope to a gnarled root in the ceiling.
"What are you doing?" Peter asked, giving an experimental tug. "Release me."
Instead of answering, Hook turned and picked his way through the small room as if searching for something.
Already forgetting to wait for an answer, Peter gave another tug; more forceful this time for the position was beginning to be uncomfortable. When the knot failed to give, she strained her neck to get a better look, expecting to take flight in the process so as to get closer. When she didn't, her surprised legs gave out and she was left hanging by her wrists, the tops of her feet grazing the floor. Frowning, she tried again with the same results.
"What's happening?" she asked aloud, her voice filled with the beginnings of panic. Why couldn't she fly? "Hook!" she exclaimed, using the rope to hoist herself to her feet. "What did you do to me?!"
The pirate straitened up with a long vine hanging over his hook and the red bed sheet John and Michel had used to make shadow puppets in his hand. "It is not what I did," he told the girl, picking his way back towards her, "it is what we did."
"What do you mean?" Peter asked, leaning as far away from him as she could.
Hook looked at her in mock pity. "You should have known better than to play a grown-up's game, my dear," he tutted, wrapping the sheet around her and using the rope to keep the strapless toga in place. "You need innocence to fly, but now that it is lost, you will never be able to fly again." As if to prove his point, he weaved his hand through the folds of cloth and pressed a finger against her clitoris.
"No!" she cried, struggling to move away from the hand, but her voice was not the only one to cry out.
Tinker Bell had been moping in the jungle, feeling down right sorry for herself, when she heard the yells of pain from the surrounding plant life that could only mean pirates, and hastily took cover. Peaking around the leaf, the tiny fairy spotted Captain Hook's crew marching the still-struggling children in the direction of their awaiting rowboats. Tink still had a huge disliking for the Wendy bird, but she wasn't the only one in the pirates evil clutches and hopefully once she told Peter what had happened, the silly ass would realize how useless Wendy really was. After all, Tink would never allow herself to be kidnapped. And with that reasoning, the fairy sped off in the direction of the lost boys' hideout. When she got there, however, she found herself locked out and spent several minutes flying from tree to tree to find a way in. After she had finally worked off the large mushroom that covered the chimney when the fire was out, she arrived just in time to hear the captain's dooming words.
"Is it true, Peter?" the fairy asked in her bell-like voice, "You have lost your innocence?"
"No, no, Tink!" the girl denied, but the captain's hand between her legs was not letting her believe it. "It's not true!"
Hook, who lacked the childish creativity necessary to understand fairy language, could more or less guess what the question was. "It is true, Tinker Bell, your beloved Peter Pan and I have coupled. Even now she is enjoying a man's touch." His words were followed by a yell that escaped unbidden from Peter's lips as her legs gave way from under her.
That was all the proof Tinker Bell needed. Peter was no longer innocent and would therefore never again ride the back of the wind with Tink at her side. She would be like the lost boys, or worse, the pirates- earthbound and trapped in Neverland. Overcome with sorrow, the small fairy flew back the way she came, hardly paying attention to where she was going.
"No, Tink! Come back! He's lying! It's not true!" Peter sobbed, still hanging by her wrists.
Captain Hook took his hand back and wiped it off on the bed, quite pleased with how this had turned out. The fairy couldn't have picked a more opportune time to show up, and now not only was the girl sullied, but she was in torment for losing her smallest companion. Reaching above the girl's head, he untied her from the root and jerked her towards the exit.
"Come along, girl," he said when she stumbled brokenly out of the tree and into the pouring rain. "Don't you want to see your lost boys before they die?"
Peter froze, her eyes rising to meet the captain's. "Where are they?" she demanded angrily. "And where's Wendy?"
"Safe and sound aboard the Jolly Roger, of course."
Peter's eyes widened. He wanted to kill them! But he couldn't kill them, she thought, forgetting about how many of her lost boys had been killed by pirates in the past. Only pirates were allowed to die. Peter began to fight against the rope. If there was going to be a fight, it was much more fun to sneak up on them than it was to blatantly arrive. After several minutes of struggle, Hook finally pinned her arms to her body with the access rope, gagged her with a strip of cloth from his shirt that had been severed during a hasty scramble for his boot knife, tangled her legs up in the sheet she was wrapped in, and flung her over his shoulder for the rest of the journey.
The lost boys walked dejectedly onto the deck. The entire way to the ship, through the jungle and during the ride in the rowboats, they had held on to the hope that Peter Pan would come save them. But not long after their arrival, the missing pirate captain appeared with Peter herself bound and gagged on his shoulder, and told them all that her ‘wings had been clipped. Permanently.' After that, they had been taken below deck and hadn't seen their leader since.
The sun sunk below the horizon, back tracked, and rose again in the usual Neverland fashion. The rest of the pirates were already awake by the time their captain woke up; an unusual occurrence, but what with Peter Pan to keep him entertained well into the night, his crew understood. Unfortunately for them, Hook was now ready to watch the boys walk the plank and they were quietly squabbling about who would be the bearer of bad news, for the captain was known for literally shooting the messenger. Hook, who was no fool, knew immediately something was amiss.
"What's going on? Smee! Out with it, man!" he demanded, glaring at them all while he touched his hook absently with his left hand. He had wanted to wear his favorite hook for the special occasion, but it seemed that Smee was currently in the process of polishing the collection two at a time.
"It seems, cap'in, while we was all asleep in our beds, the children… uh, escaped."
"Escaped," Hook repeated and the crew watched in silence while the pirate captain took out a pistol and shot the man who had been whispering in Smee's ear just before he stepped forward.
Hours before, when Hook had finally tired of her, Peter was moved down to a different area of the hold than the lost boys and Wendy were. Unable to fly, her hands were merely tied around a wooden pillar by a line of rope and the second she was left to her own devices, she bent down and began to gnaw at the binding.
The lost boys and Wendy stayed up, dreading the coming morning when they would be made to walk the plank. Unable to get some sleep, they were wide-awake when a dark figure loomed out of the darkness of the hold, and they shrank back in fright. When the figure came close enough, however, they saw it was Peter with the keys to their chains, which she had palmed from Hook's cabin.
"Peter!" they all exclaimed joyously and she hissed for them to keep quiet.
"When everyone's free, get onto the deck and fly as far as you can."
"What about you, Peter?" Tootles asked and they were all reminded of Peter's misfortune.
"I'm swimming back. The pirates found our hideout, so we'll have to meet at one of the others. The one between the rocks. Lost boys, show Wendy where she needs to go." Through the darkness, Peter could just barely see their nods of agreement. "Good. Now go! Quick! I have to return the keys."
As one, the lost boys and Wendy snuck onto the deck and, all holding hands for reassurance, took to the air in the direction of the hideout. As far back as any of them could remember, when they were settled in any particular spot, Peter would one day burst in and announce that Hook had discovered their home and that they needed to evacuate and make a new hideout quick before he closed in on them. As frequent as these instances were, none of the boys had minded for it had been a game to race the clock against an enemy who was supposedly on their trail. Now, though, Peter's games had come in handy for they had several ready-made hideouts to choose from. The one they were heading to now was under several large rocks with sizable trees growing between them, stationed right next to a waterfall. The advantages to this was a large pool in the back yard they could swim in on hot days and it was further inland than their last one. Unfortunately, the waterfall made it difficult to hear an enemy sneaking up on them so they constantly had to have a lookout stationed in one of the trees' high branches.
Peter tiptoed across the deck and opened the door to the captain's cabin as quietly as she could. Inside, she could see Hook by the light of the moon shining through the windows, snoring lightly in his bed and she couldn't help but shiver at the sight. The game they had played before and continued playing on the ship had taken away her game of flight, she knew that now. But she was torn. What they had done had felt so good, so why were the consequences so high? What was it about grown-up games? And had it actually been worth giving up flight in order to continue playing those games?
Shrugging the questions off, she placed the keys back where she found them, nearly laughing out loud as she imagined the look on Hook's face when he realized they were all gone, and turned for the door, stopping suddenly at the sight of a case on the desk. The captain had put his hook in there before turning in and from her vantage point on the bed, Peter had just been able to make out more shiny objects being cradled in the velvet. Could this be where he kept his hooks?
Approaching the desk, she opened the case and saw four gleaming hooks, and a spot where a fifth hook would go. A wicked grin spread across her face as she gazed at the collection, a mischievous gleam in her eye. Quietly taking his favorite hook, which she could spot because it was in the best condition, she shut the case and slipped out the door. Sticking the hook in the folds of the red sheet she still had wrapped around her, she dove over the side and began to swim to shore, mimicking the tick-tock of the alligator's internal clock to scare away predators who kept an eye out for young girls wrapped in bed sheets.
So tired was she by the time she reached shore, she simply found the pirate-exposed hideout to seek shelter in until morning. The darkness was almost complete in the underground room save for the moonlight shining down the chimney. Making her way to the bed that was stained with a now-familiar body fluid, Peter collapsed onto it, falling asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.
Morning came, and Peter still hadn't shown up, making Wendy and her two brothers worry. The lost boys, on the other hand, had complete confidence that their leader would return and went to work keeping an eye out for anyone approaching, be it Peter, the redskins, or pirates.
"I say!" John exclaimed, pointing in the direction of a large cloud of smoke rising into the air. "Is that from the redskins?"
"Can't be," Slightly answered. "The redskin's are off in that direction." He pointed. "That's the old hide out. Peter must have set it on fire."
"That I did!" a voice agreed from behind them, taking the two by surprise for they were up in the high branches and would have seen anyone climbing up to them.
"Peter!" Slightly exclaimed.
"You can fly!" John added joyfully.
Peter looked at him oddly. "Of course I can. Why couldn't I?"
The two lost boys exchanged a look that the girl floating in front of them didn't catch; her mind was already elsewhere. Had Peter forgotten she couldn't fly, or had she forgotten she had forgotten how to fly? She forgot most everything else, so they couldn't put it past her, whichever one it was.
"Come on!" she said, flipping over and diving towards the ground and the other lost boys.
"Peter!" they cheered when she had landed, "you made it!"
Wendy, hearing their cries, climbed out of the hide out and broke into a smile when she saw who was back. "Oh, Peter, I'm so glad you're all right!"
The other girl grinned in response and looked at the congregation around her. "While sneaking the keys back in their proper place, I noticed a chest filled with-"
Wendy, recognizing a new adventure when she heard one, interrupted as gently as she could. "Peter, please. We want to go home."
Peter's smile faded and she nodded solemnly. "Very well. We can leave as soon as I find Tinker Bell." And without another word to any of them, she flew off to locate her fairy friend.
Back at the Darling household, Peter watched through the window as the Darlings discovered first the return of their children and then the appearance of the lost boys. Wendy and Mrs. Darling joined her at the window, Peter floating just out of reach for she never trusted grown-ups and didn't want to give the woman the opportunity to make a grab for her.
"You won't forget me, Peter, will you, before my visiting time comes?" Her mother had agreed to let her visit for one week every spring.
"I will never forget you, Wendy," Peter promised.
"I won't ever forget you, either," Wendy vowed.
Peter grinned mischievously. "I know you wont; I have a kiss for you!" Out of the sheet she produced the captain's favorite hook and, staying just out of arms reach from Mrs. Darling, gave it to the other girl, oblivious to the fact that Mrs. Darling would have a thing or two about giving weapons away as presents disguised as kisses.
"Silly ass," Tink said as she and Peter turned away from the window.
Wendy laughed and waved good-bye to the girl's retreating back, knowing her brothers and the not-so-lost lost boys would find many uses for the kiss.
Author's Note: I am considering writing a sequel to this, continuing with Hook's desire to permanently clip Peter's wings, but since his first idea didn't work, he'd have to come up with a different way. Or perhaps taking this little clip and putting it into a full story. Let me know what you think via the little blue button below.
